Comfortable, friendly and relaxing

Lovely comfortable rooms. Daily cleaning exceptional. Very warm welcome and helpful friendly staff. Prime location, however noisy at night.

The location was great bit opposite a very noisy bar. The hotel did however provide earplugs which worked well!

Easy check in and check out, friendly staff, good breakfast, great location - nothing to complain. Relaxing stay!

it was in great location, right in the center of old town. Staff - very very helpful. Breakfast cafe served good, very filling food, which kept our tummies happy till early dinner (maybe because we slept in late :-). Even though streets are traffic free, the cafes and bars stay open late so it was a bit noisy at night, but that has nothing to do with hotel - just for future guests knowledge, so no one gets surprised. Myself and my partner and our two children enjoyed the stay very much.

one thing that bothered us was the shower - shower hear wasn’t fixed and the shower curtain was absent so taking the shower was a bit challenging. Kids struggled, but it wasn’t the end of the world.

Nice room but in a noisy part of town.

Nice large light filled rooms. Staff very kind and room service was good.

Noisy location especially at night which gets a bit wearing if you are staying longer than a day or two. Kitchen is very basic.

Cozy place for a short stay.

the room was small but perfect for a few nights. the place in general was very clean and neat. the staff was very kind. location was very central since from there you could go everywhere by walking.

Its not so much that i didnt like, but I would prefer the room's window to have a mesh curtain so we could leave the window open more when we were away.

incredible location, super value for money, well worth it for a short stay in this great city!

wonderful welcome from the team at Althaia! fabulous value for money, large size room, very comfortable and great attention to detail. super location right in the centre of the old town, highly recommend this pension!

everything was great, just be careful of the shower, as tending to overflow all over the bathroom floor!

Nice staff that always tried to help. Good to have coffee in the room.

Room facing the front side was so noisy from the music at the bar next door, that it was impossible to sleep. Bathroom had a very moldy smell.

too noisy… it was impossible to sleep before all bars in the area close… we could here the music… we slept at 04:00am and then we had to wake up at 09:00am because of the morning noise.

Friendly host and staff, great location and room

The very nice building with beautiful rooms sits in the middle of the charming old town, close to everywhere you might want to go in Nafplio. The host and staff are friendly, welcoming and professional - the level of service was the best we experienced in Greece, and that is saying something, considering the outstanding hospitality of Greeks in general. The breakfast served by friendly staff in a small breakfast bar downstairs was very tasty and great value for money. You cannot drive into the old town, but just a few minutes away on foot there is a huge, free and safe parking in the port.

We expected this so we did not really mind it - the area gets quite noisy in the evenings, with all the bars, restaurants and shops. The host provides comfortable, soft ear plugs. There was a drain in a very inconvenient place on the bathroom floor, and its cover kept slipping off when you moved around there, creating a potentially dangerous hole.

Lovely, clean pension with excellent bathtoom and breakfast. You must like stairs!

Friendly welcome, kettle in room, room was enormous and comfortable. Lovely bathroom. Everything very clean. Breakfast was in breakfast bar just outside the pension - excellent.

Pension is on a pedestrian only street, so parking is on the seafront about 200m away. You can unload and load nearer, but parking is not onsite.

Perfect warm and charming stay at the heart of things

The warm hospitality extended by Poly, the inviting ambience and scent of Christmas infused into the whole place! What a welcome!

The steep flight of steps but the charm of place over-rides this back breaking feat (tip:bring small luggages only). Some levels of music till late but tolerable.

Great accommodation at a good price coupled with lovely Greek hospitality

A lovely historic property in a very central and convenient location. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with crisp white bedlinen and the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in ages. Hosts Poly and Dimitris made me feel very welcome and as a solo traveler enhanced my stay beyond words. My thanks to them for their kind hospitality.

A place with an atmosphere in the heart of Napflio oldtown

Rooms are in a historic building in the heart of Napflio oldtown. Restaurants, bars, cafes are only a few steps away. The place certainly has an atmosphere. Our room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast in a cafe downstairs was great. The reception lady was very helpful.

If you come by car please mind the place is in a limited traffic zone and you need to park by the port - 5 minute walk from the property. Our windows were facing a busy street but when we closed them in the evening the noise did not disturb us sleeping.

I loved everything about my stay at Althaia Pension!

Loved Athaia so much! I had a street facing room and was a little worried that noise would be an issue, but once everything was closed up, I slept like a baby. The room was large and comfortable with a mini fridge and coffee fixings. Loved sitting on the balcony with my morning coffee. Breakfast was wonderful! Staff were very friendly and ready to help with tips for things to see and do and restaurants to try.

the location impresses you first, nestled in the old town in a wealth of shops and restaurants. the welcome from the hosts was great and reflects the lovely people in this area who can’t do enough for you! the pension it’s self was lovely and clean, and decorated in keeping with the building and area,

An excellent stay and a place to which I will return.

I would strongly recommend the Althaia Pension with its great location and very clean and comfortable rooms. My room was excellent and quiet (because it was on the light well, not the street). The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything went well. And it has an excellent breakfast. I will certainly stay here again.

There are better choices around

The breakfast restaurant is very nice. Location is good and the room is alright

Staff at the reception was difficult to reach outside opening hours, even after sending a booking.com message. Staff also did not seem very professional. While I was paying, the person basically started answering questions of another guest and kept us waiting for a while.

What was there not to like?🙂 The location in the heart of the Old town, the two wonderful and helpful hostesses and a very cosy room.From the moment we had stepped in the pension, we felt it like home.

We liked everything! We would honestly recommend it to all people.
