It's absolutely value for me. The breakfast was short and sweet
Had a little problem with the internet but i guess it was just my room
4.5
Friendly staff and great service. I got there right after the new owners took it over.
I got a room with terrace, better than expected. Great breakfast.
I really liked the top floor bedroom but it's wooden floor was quite noisy. Some furniture needs a touch of basic maintenance to be back in great shape.
Wifi was not that great, I just used mobile data.
3.5
Staff were awesome and welcoming. Room was well sized and clean etc with a fan and secure bike storage which we needed.
Whilst not part of the room as such, the food served at the brasserie was fantastic and excellent value.
Toiletries in bathroom were ‘commercial’ rather than luxurious - hand pump soap like you’d get in a public loo. Bathroom separated from
bedroom by a shower curtain which minimised and privacy.

This hotel + restaurant is in a perfect location by a forest and a stream. Parking not a challenge. Nice room. This old mill compound has been aesthetically modernized, maintaining much of its authenticity. To navigate, use number 7 in order not to get lost in the woods / on a restricted road. Breakfast nicely arranged on the table. Great beers (including regional stuff) and tasty food in the evening.
Linoleum flooring may not suit the current taste in your country of origin - but it is easily cleaned and suits the purpose. - For wifi, get that handshake in the restaurant, it may not work in the rooms.

Eric and the staff were amazing and so helpful. The rooms were beautiful and in a lovely location surrounded by woodland. As it was a one night stay we didn’t get a chance to talk a walk but the area was stunning. The beds were very comfortable. There was a strong WiFi signal. Breakfast was incredible- I didn’t need to eat again until mid afternoon! The restaurant was nicely set up and very welcoming.

After having a disappointment with another reservation, I came in the middle of the night at the Hoogmolen Hotel. Everything was fantastic. The room was clean, spacious, with the bed being on the roof floor. Nice litlle porch. Amazing atmosphere and the amenities of the Hotel incredible. The breakfast was super. The owner (i think), was very nice and helpful. Fantastic stay. For sure i will go again. Excellent.
The only problem that i had, was with the Wifi code. Maybe i did something wrong.

Nothing. We had such a terrible night with little or no sleep due to hosts’ noise until the early hours. We were awoken once more around 0600 with music and checked out without breakfast.
Dangerous lack of accessible light switch on landing with steep stairs in close proximity. (Lucky we travel with a torch). Bathroom cramped and unable to stand up near toilet located beneath a joist, tricky to sit down and get up due to lack of space. No hot water for shower. No hand wash accessible/working in the bathroom. Hosts’ loud music until the small hours in the bar until we had to get up and request they reduce the noise; banging, clattering, loud talking near the bedroom and full light shone through bedroom glazed door in the early hours too.

The location was beautiful, the staff was nice.
The door to the bathroom was a shower curtain. There was only some soap in the shower, the soap dispenser near the sink was empty. One of the towels was folded with clean towels, but was very stained and dirty. The beds are missing the extra protective covers. The website said the room had a refrigerator and microwave, but it was in another area of the building. I'm a single mom travelling with teens....the wifi was there but barely usable and we had to resign in every 15 minutes.

Excellent location
The room was cold and at night the heating went off. So in the morning it was cold. Even to get hot water was a challenge. Breakfast was basic
