Amazing location overlooking the shipping straight between Värmdö and Rindo. Lovely helpful staff.

Scenery is amazing. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Location was off the beaten track - perfect for a holiday.
The size of the room was a bit small. But otherwise very comfortable.

Amazing views over stockholm archipelago, incredible setting and delicious food

Lovely buffet breakfast of Swedish things with lots of choice
Honestly can't think of anything! The hotel is located on the coast, with beautiful forest behind full of deer. Guests wanting night-life or activities in the late evening may be better off somewhere a bit busier, but we loved it.

Nothing special.

The place is fantastic. Everything from the room with a beautiful view, food to the location.

Right in the middle of the beautiful Stockholm Archipelago, on a narrow canal through which the ferries linking Stockholm and Helsinki navigate, sits this wonderful historic place. Our room was a bit small but very cozy and had a nice terrace and a wonderful view. The restaurant is good and the managers and other staff extremely friendly.
We would have preferred a shower; the bathtub may be more cottage style but is hard to get in and out of. The restaurant is good but offers the same three choices for starter, main course and dessert all Summer long. If you’re staying several days as we did that gets a bit repetitive and there are no real alternatives nearby.

Cozy and clean room in an historical building. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast options, and the restaurant served great dinners. The location is close to well maintained hiking trails. A very relaxing stay!
Wifi connection should be improved in the rooms

This is not as much a hotel as a destination on its own - a stay here promises a paradise of nature next to a historic fort in a lovingly renovated historic building with surprisingly modern bathroom fixtures and a great kitchen that offers elevated fare at night and a simpler cuisine for lunch. With a dining room in the main building, a lovely orangerie and a romantic garden with various seating options scattered around, every meal can have a different setting. And (free) breakfasts are a delight, too. If you are lucky enough to have stumbled over this listing, I suggest you just try to tag two nights here to your visit to Stockholm. The free tour of the fort every day at 17:00 is highly informative, the dinner is excellent, the free to use bicycles very nice, the hiking trail to Lillsved a beautiful 1-2 hours each way (loop is possible), kayak rentals a bit further away (I recommend a bicycle tour to kayakeriet in Björnvik), the water for a swim never too far. The host family is very warm and always goes out of their way to help. To get here, a car or bike rental would be great options, or you time your trip to fetch one of the 1-hour bus connections to Stockholm city center (not many a day unfortunately and 10 minute walk to the hotel). Otherwise make sure you book an Uber as normal taxis charge almost double.
While I loved the conciseness of the menu (as it makes sure that everything is fresh), the choices become a bit narrow if you eat here multiple times. A daily special or two alternating menus (one day this, the other day that) might be an idea to consider! :)

Dinner was delicious.
Bit expensive considering the facilities and the room. Breakfast was okay.

Very beautiful and comfortable stay in the archipelago. Great breakfast and dinner.

Beautiful boutique hotel overlooking the sea where ships to stockholm pass! Also you can see the old forts that protected the inlet. Decent breakfast as well, and the rooms were really cute! Also the food was very good (we had lunch and dinner there).
Not many activities. I wish they had lawn games available (horseshoes, kubb, chess, etc). The hotel is very secluded and the only thing to do if you don’t have a car is to walk in the woods or walk to the ferry hop over to see to fort across the straight (nice lunch place on the other side!) But it was good for a 24 hour stay.
