Clean room and good size
WiFi very bad
Breakfast was porridge left in room and apples and juice
Advertised as Breakfast
They should be very clear about the so called Breakfast

Immaculate and spacious room. Excellent walk-in shower - more like a car wash!
WiFi signal and speed were spot on.
Owner was on hand and most helpful (thanks).
Soundproofing a potential issue. Noise from the occupants of the adjacent room was initally loud and clear. Once they had realised the situation, there was no problem.
TV signal kept breaking up. Had to watch the rugby on my phone.

The room was small but clean and the beds were comfortable
When we arrived there was no one to greet us with the key just left in the door with no message to say that we were allowed to access the room, and the phone contact number when straight to voice mail which through my own lack of skills with my phone i was unable to access and i accept that this is my own fault, but the owner should not assume that everyone has the skills to do this, only when my son met us at the property that i was able to get the message. On a very hot day the fan didn't work and there was no signal on the TV or the radio, my main complaint was that the so called breakfast consisted of an instant porridge pot a fruit bar and a fruit drink, this in my opinion was completely misleading and nowhere near what i expected as a breakfast

Stayed there before all good 👍

Quiet room in good location. Hassle free access to room and check out.
There was no wi-fi. TV was unwatchable due to constant picture freezing. This wasn't a major issue as we were mainly out of the room.

Unstaffed but easily accessed separate room in ground floor group. Warm , good bath and comfortable.
Nothing really shame about the pub but there are others!&

The room was accessed independently from outside so it didn’t feel like a room in a pub or a B&B. Everything was clean and tidy and the room was well presented.
If using the area as a base for walking then a benefit of this accommodation is the room had a small entrance hall where boots and wet weather gear could be removed.
The bathroom would benefit from being refurbished and we visited during a heatwave, the bedroom had no windows so the large fan had to do a lot of work!
The owner was on holiday so the pub was shut and no breakfasts were available, we hadn’t pre-booked but notice of this would have been appreciated as Bishops Castle is a small town so we struggled to reserve a table for our evening meal.

Pub not open but due to the pandemic

The room was well finished with a modern and airy style. Everything was high standard and clean, very important in these Covid times!
Had no contact with a real person when there. There was a small problem with the shower so that couldnt be resolved while we were there but these things happen.

Excellent location within the town
Nothing to dislike

Location excellent. Good shower . Good towels
More attention to cleaning, some cobwebs , marks on window sills, some stains in cups. No WiFi and TV reception poor so could not watch some channels

It was easily acceptable and the shower was decent with hot water
We had one tea bag for both of us and even when they came to service the room they didn’t refresh them! So we had to buy our own. I know covid is causing problems but when they clearly advertise free breakfast, and the side of the pub has a huge sign saying food and dine! You kind of expect to be able to get food... nada! Absolutely nothing. And not much else in the village unless you want Chinese, curry or a kebab. The castle hotel was adequate!
Clearly advertised as ‘Luxury’ it was acceptably clean but not outstanding and a long way from luxury... quite a long way from luxury really.
The beds and bedding were comfortable and the shower was hot which was a good thing because the property was freezing when we arrived. Finishing a day outside it’s really important to come back to warmth. We left the radiator on for the second day only to find the cleaner had turned it back off. So another good hour before the room was warm by which time without a hot shower we would have been hypothermic (exaggeration)
Shame to waste all that money on hot water when really we just needed the heating on!
I wouldn’t rush back

Location, helpful owner, very comfy night

Comfortable room, very good breakfast.
Couldn't get a VAT for room, just for breakfast, so not ideal for business travelers.
Wifi was strange, in the evening would only connect to Facebook and nothing else but worked fully in the morning.
