I hope Tibet Guest House can resist gentrification.

It’s reliably the same: it weathered COVID: the staff is excellent

At the price, location, security and service it would be churlish to mention anything I didn’t like

I appreciated the help of the staff in arranging bus tickets and a taxi.

the staff were friendly and helpful.

the breakfast menu looked very varied, but what was available was actually very limited. an evening menu was also in the room, but on the night I asked if I could eat in, there was no food available. they seemed unaware of my booking, possibly because it was through Booking.com, but fortunately had a room. it seemed that they then found the booking, and upgraded me to another room. this also meant that they did not respond to my requests to be picked up at the airport, despite it being said on their website that they did a free pick up.

Everything was great! Tibet Guest House is a like hotel. from Agatha Christie book! Staff was perfect! Can't wait to visit Nepal again!

Superb

Our stay at Tibet Guest House was fantastic, we had to switch rooms as we had booked a double bes instead of singles and they gave us an even better room. Breakfast was delicious and perfect to be had at their courtyard. Additionally the location at the heart of Thamel is great for exploring the neighborhood and surrounding areas in Kathmandu.

Facilities are a bit dated.

• AC are old, that’s why room temperature not working • There are not available Sockets near Bed to charge mobile.

A calm tranquil stay in city centre

Location is great. Just lightly tucked in a brightly lit corner street, I felt safe walking back in the evening as a solo female traveller. The bed is soft and large, the showers are hot. They have nice towels for use, and breakfast is a buffet. I choose to sit in their gardens which is calm and lovely.

Nothing much, except that perhaps a wall in the room I was staying in can do with a scrub. Coffee stains can be seen quite clearly but it’s probably only that room, and if you aren’t bothered by such small details. The hotel delivered great comfort for my two nights’ stay.

Beautiful staff, lovely hotel. Best place to stay!

The balcony, the breakfast, the people. Had the best time and would definitely stay again. We were well looked after and everyone loved our little one year old boy. He has had the best holiday.
