Though the cost of my oh alternative room was refunded (when it eventually hits my account up to two weeks later) this

clean and adequate as a room to sleep for a few nights

Hard to locate in the dark. No key available on arrival. Had to look for and arrange a hotel very late at night. ‘emergency’ number stops at 10 pm and so no help when stranded after 200 mile drive.

Would not book again

Please clean the mould off the door and the shower doors. It was constantly cold with heating on 24/7. I found a manual for an extra fan heater but no heater. The host did not like me phoning on arrival when I couldnt find the place. I will advise not to book this room. When there are much cheaper alternatives where your towels and linen are changed. Such a shame the first impression was good I booked for 9 days and you notice more negative things. It could be stunning.

Makes a nice change from a B&B - a great find

We had everything we needed for a short stay, including basic cooking facilities, and we could come and go as we pleased. Although the annexe belongs to a larger private property (we didn't meet the owner but the gardener was very friendly), it felt relatively private and it also felt safe because of the gates at the front of the house. It was a good size for the 2 of us (it looked bigger in the morning for some reason!) and was fitted out perfectly well. You can walk into Cheltenham via a footpath just up the road if you enjoy that kind of thing, about 3 miles each way to the centre.

The main electric heater was a little temperamental and the duvet was a little bit thin for the time of year (February). Could do with another little armchair to avoid squabbles over seating. Also, the toilet paper could have been of better quality.

Superb

The Annexe is very light and airy and very comfortable , Peaceful and quiet which made it more relaxing after a hards days work.

My only quibble really is with the way i was spoken too by phone by the young man from curbs lettings, my mistake for not reading the check in instructions thoroughly but didnt justify to be spoken too in such a manner which i thought was quite rude and abrupt . But managed to enjoy my otherwise.

Lovely private little retreat for two - recommend

Location was excellent, felt quiet and rural but was only minutes away from Cheltenham. Very private, we never encountered our hosts in the house proper which suited us fine. Property was very clean and we appreciated the nice toiletries. Hairdryer and iron/ironing board provided and having a toaster and microwave in addition to the fridge and tea/coffee making facilities is a helpful touch.

Property was a bit hard to identify from the road. Felt the gravel drive made our coming/going noisy but no real complaints.

Met our needs. We needed somewhere to stay with secure parking. Peaceful.

Peaceful, private, quiet, car parked in secure locked drive, walking distance to pretty local centre good for small shops, eateries, a pub and a small well stocked Coop. There was plenty of hot water. We were also just in the country, had we more time, we would have explored the footpaths.

Bumped our heads a few times as the accommodation was in the roof space, plenty of head room in central space. Men may find it easier to sit to use the toilet.

Lovely house next to it, lovely gardens, wasn’t really sure on how to use swimming pool or do horse riding etc like it states in the description but otherwise it was lovely! Would’ve been nice to meet some staff.

Good

The property was small and compact. Very good location and looking over a wonderful garden. Excellent value.

Didn’t like the attitude of the management company. On Booking.com it says pay extra for bedding. However bedding is provided. The person I spoke to insisted that got it wrong. The website details needs to be amended. Also when I phoned to inform that we are delayed he said we can turn up anytime which was great, the way he said it was not.

Poor

We were very disappointed as we never saw the owners to even ask us if all was ok. The bed was literally falling apart and we certainly are not heavy people! Nearly every day my husband had to lift the sagging mattress and fix slats back underneath. It was very much a bedsit and only one armchair and one hard plastic seat. Nowhere comfy to relax at all. Have stayed in much cleaner properties even though this one is above the garage separately from a very big house of the owners. Would not want to return although we found the friendliness of local people lovely. This is so unlike us to give a bad review!

Beautiful area and great location for the town and Cotswolds. Had a few issues with accommodation but they were quickly resolved by owner.

My partner who is just over 6ft found the sloping eaves in the bathroom a little difficult

After we managed to kind of get rid of the moths it was better

Free parking on site and close to city center and horse riding and sight seeing

The room hadn't been cleaned in a very long while probably since the last visitor but not right before our arrival as should have been. There were moths everywhere and few big dead spiders next to the bed which for someone with allergies could be catastrophic. I requested a clean and I got an answer straight away however the person who cleaned didn't bother to take their shoes off while in the room and left the room even dirtier than before considering it had been raining all weekend... The room had no Wi-Fi signal throughout the stay. As soon as we opened the door at times there was signal but it is mentioned in the description that there is Wi-Fi and we couldn't benefit from it.

The Location is convenient to visit Cotswold and also the Studio apartment is neat

The Roof can be dangerous in the corners of the apartment..My wife ended up accidently banging the roof twice in 2 days :(

The attic

Quaint little place above the garage on the grounds of a large home. Good pressure shower. The owner was friendly, place was lovely and clean.

I couldn’t sit on the wc properly as the sloping roof was in the way. It has space to move it forward, so slight adjustment would be perfect. The bed base slats aren’t installed correctly, so mattress falls down at the base of the bed. A small thing, personally I would have more windows, as it’s a beautiful rural location, so would be great to see more of it. Otherwise all good!

Very pleasant and would use this property again. 5 -10 mins drive into Cheltenham

Appreciated being left to it - no contact from the owners at all but felt I could knock if I needed them. Very quiet day and night . Once through the gates everything was obvious and easy.

I found the directions (used Google Maps) a little off. Basically the road is very quiet and it was getting dark and I first pulled up at identical gates to the ones shown in the picture and there was no key holder. Turned out it is just the next gate but this made me mildly panic at first!
