Good hotel

I liked the hotel. Rooms are clean, with everything you might need: pajamas, towels, tea/coffee, and complimentary water. It's cozy and nice. The hotel's restaurant is also lovely. Breakfasts are excellent (the price is not low though, 1980 yen), and there are plenty of choices from Western and Asian food. The only drawback is that the coffee that enters the breakfast cost is filter coffee, not espresso. One needs to pay additional money for espresso. We were tired last night and decided to eat in the hotel's restaurant. There was live music (I liked it!), reasonably cheap, and sake tasting (free, with a nice guy explaining many things about sake). In general, a very good impression of the hotel and the hotel's staff. Having a public bath is also a plus after long days. Maiko performance was very short (5-10 min max), but lovely. It was interesting to see!

The rooms are pretty small. I was traveling with a baby, and the stroller barely entered the room—also, there was no space to open the suitcase. If the baby doesn't sleep and one needs to walk a bit, there is no space for that. If I were traveling without the baby, it would have been fine.

Buen hotel en el centro de Kyoto!

Nos recibió en recepción el señor Tezuka, nuestra sorpresa es que hablaba español! Nos ayudó muchísimo con las recomendaciones y nos brindó un gran servicio! Muchísimas gracias. Tuvimos la oportunidad, a nuestra llegada, de ver a una Maiko (aprendiz de Geisha), quien realizó un pequeño espectáculo en el hall, que suerte!!! La habitación fue perfecta para una estancia corta. La cama comodísima y las almohadas increíbles! Hay desayuno buffet con área occidental y área oriental, completo y bueno. La ubicación es bastante céntrica y a 10 minutos caminando hay una estación de metro. Regresaremos!

Had high hopes but was disappointed, wouldn’t recommend.

The location was close to the shops and restaurants and the staff were friendly. There is an onsite restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Frosted glass on the window meant not only could we not open the window (which to be fair seems quite common in Japanese hotels) but we also couldn’t see out of it. This made it feel it like we were caged in and very claustrophobic. Wi-Fi was terrible, we had to switch to mobile data regularly. The lighting in the room was poor, it felt like night time regardless of the time of day. This made it not a nice room to relax in. Out of the 5 hotels we stayed in during our visit, this was the only one that didn’t replenish the bottled water.

Good location, would stay again, just not on the 2nd floor near the laundry.

Clean, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast

Ask for a room that is not near the coin laundry on the 2nd floor. There are only two laundry machines for all hotel guests to use, and it is a very large hotel. So, it is in continuous use from morning though night time, and people stand around talking in the hallway as they wait for laundry machines to come available. You can easily hear them through the doors.

Excellent hotel & great staff

Comfy rooms, clean, great staff. Everything was good in this hotel, probably the best we stayed at during our trip. Beds were also the best we had in Japan.

Many things at breakfast were missing/finished if you arrive after 9.00

Excelente localização e custo benefício , porém com margem para melhora

A localização é ótima e próxima de diversos pontos importantes da cidade , além da proximidade com mais de uma linha de metrô.

O fato de limparem o quarto apenas uma vez a cada 3 dias é um ponto de preocupação . Além disso, tivemos problemas com o Wi-Fi nos primeiros dias e o menu do restaurante não era muito vasto.

Just about befitting of Kyoto and it’s classy environment!

Located centrally for just about anything that Kyoto has to offer the traveller, but just set back enough t be quiet and relaxing away from the main hustle and bustle. Easy access links to the whole city. The baths were simple but effective and segregated for obvious reasons…the entire hotel has a ‘vibe’ befitting Kyoto with subtle lighting and mood music. Staff were always helpful and willing.

Maybe the three day period between room cleaning causes occasions where the guest doesn’t know where to get towels/toilet rolls, etc., The laundry room was a challenge

Buena estadía

Buen desayuno, el personal muy amable, excelente ubicación. El onsen era agradable. Daban todas las botellas de agua necesarias, cosa que se agradece y además la estadía incluía te matcha

El dormitorio que nos tocó estaba sucio (habían pelos y manchas en las sábanas), sin embargo, rápidamente el personal nos cambió de habitación y pidió las disculpas correspondientes, además de darnos una gratificación.

Great location

It was a comfortable room and the location was perfect. Close to Nishiki Markets, Gion and the Imperial Palace

We needed to wash some laundry and they only have 2 washing machines for the whole hotel. We had to wait a couple hours for our turn.

Quality

Always love the rooms, the breakfast and the public onsen. Loved the hotel interiors and the commitment to not wasting toiletries

just a bit distant from all the hustle and bustle where a tourist would want to be near to but that’s being critical. All in all I loved our stay at Hotel Resol Trinity

One of the nicest hotels we have stayed at

EVERYTHING!!! It was clean it was close to everything we needed, the staff are exceptional so much so we are returning at the end of the week. The onsen is lovely and serene. Cannot fault this hotel

Perfect traditional aesthetic with all modern amenities

Beautiful hotel - photos don’t do it justice. It felt very in-keeping with traditional styles of Kyoto but with modern amenities. Japanese style room had lovely ‘paper’ window screens and tatami flooring. Staff were amazing, helped with many things during our stay including booking restaurants. Location great - old area of Kyoto walkable within 10 mins, Tamarachi Arcade 2 mins and tube about 15 mins.

Schöne Zeit in Kyoto

Japanische Stil der Zimmer war sehr schön und die Nutzung des Public Bath ohne zusätzliche Kosten, als auch das Café Blue Books zum Frühstück, Abendessen oder am Nachmittag, sehr schönes Ambiente um einige Zeit zu verweilen. Außerdem war es cool die Stadt von oben von dem Rooftop aus zu betrachten, auch kostenlos für Hotelgäste.

Es gab nichts was mir nicht gefallen hat.

Great place! Worth the spend in service and location!

The property was a wonderful fix of traditional Japan and modern. The staff and facilities were wonderful, very helpful and went above and beyond expectations.

The rooms were a little small but not that important if you’re out and about all the time.

Its a good hotel but it is way to expensive fot what they give you.

Breakfast and decoration of the room.

They dont clean the rooms daily, only every 2 days. Slow internet, smallest rooms I’ve ever had in Japan. Location is good but could be better.

Rigtig gode beliggenhed i rolige omgivelser. Dejlige senge

Meget små værelser med for mange møbler. Morgenmaden er ret kedelig, og det er svært for personalet et nå at fylde op. Der er kun rengøring hver 3. dag. Og på rengøringsdagen kan man af en eller anden grund ikke få vand (hvilket man så får de andre dage). Da vi ankom, kunne vi kun få et nøglekort per værelse. Det virker i det hele taget som om, at der bliver sparet på nogle underlige områder - mens der f.eks. så samtidig er en stor reol i fællesområdet med badeprodukter, som man frit kan tage.

Nice onsen and lobby - that’s it

A double bed is 2 singles pushed together. They don’t tell you taxes aren’t included in the booking payment you’ve made - they state it’s a Japan rule but no other hotel has charged me this on top of the payment already made. The bathroom in the toilet felt very plastic and smelt.

Comfortable stay for some nights in Kyoto

Ambient, comfortable and clean hotel and rooms. The onsen at the hotel was also very nice. The location was also great close to metro and within walking distance to the Imperial Palace and market.
