Peaceful place to stay with great views and spacious gardens to stroll around. Well equipped & clean

Easy communications via Whatsapp where needed for any queries. Lovely and quiet surroundings. Nice and clean and well equipped.

We enjoyed our stay, it really was a beautiful location and very peaceful. It would be great if the rooms could be made

Beautiful and peaceful farm close to Jonkershoek.

There unfortunately isn’t much privacy. You essentially share your patio with other guests and you can hear people talking in the rooms next door which is quite awkward. I think this is a great spot as a base for exploring stellenbosch but maybe not as a destination itself as it lacked privacy - we felt we couldn’t fully relax in our rooms.

Schade, dass der Service für die Gäste immer weiter eingeschränkt wird 😒

Wir sind zum wiederholten Male in der Auberge Rozendal gewesen. Die Lage und die Unterkunft sind weiterhin gut.

Die Schlüsselübergabe erfolgte spät nachts über eine Box. Die war mit Band verschlossen. Nach einem Flug hat man naturgemäß kein Messer zur Hand, um dies zu öffnen. Trotz Hinweis war die Box für spätere Gäste wieder genau so verschlossen 🙄. Bei unserem ersten Besuch (2008) gab es sogar noch ein Restaurant in der Auberge Rozendal. Später gab es immerhin noch Frühstück. Das gibt es jetzt auch nicht mehr 😕. Vermutlich deshalb kommen auch keine Anbieter von Gruppenreisen dort hin - was ich durchaus positiv finde. Diese sind sonst nämlich in aller Frühe wieder aufgebrochen und waren NICHT leise. Mittlerweile gibt es in der Auberge Rozendal Langzeitvermietungen an (französische) Studenten. Diese nutzen die Küche und sind dabei sehr laut. Dies gilt auch, wenn sie auf dem Gelände unterwegs sind 😒. Der Service für die Gäste wird immer weiter reduziert - und hinterher wundert man sich dann, warum das Konzept nicht funktioniert 🙈.

Absolute luxury in a very comfortable relaxing setting. Such a treat!

We felt so comfortable as we stepped into the room, the rooms smelt lovely and were cool, so well decorated - very relaxing and everything was top quality. Rooms are big, well ventilated, has everything you need. We loved our little hikes around the property - especially when Hugo the dog joined us. I got so much inspiration from the vegetable and herb gardens. The views of the mountains are spectacular. The location is so perfect - feel like one is in the depths of the country and yet so close to the hub of town. The vinegar tasting was so interesting - definitely going to buy some of their vinegars, elevated our salads.

That we could not stay longer.

Prachtig domein. De tasting was zeker de moeite! Gezellig appartement met leuk terras. Vriendelijk personeel en snelle respons.

Met de kaart betalen verliep moeilijk door connectie problemen.

Beautiful farmstay, something out of a movie!

I LOVED my stay here, this had to be one of the best places I've ever stayed! The room was fantastic, beautifully done up, the balcony was a great spot to chill and watch the alpacas and squirrels that would wander around. The pool area was great. Beds were so comfy, the bathroom was big, with a great bath. I was so impressed, it really exceeded my expectations. If I ever come back to Stellenbosch, I will 100% be staying here again. Location was also good, close to town.

Perfect end to our vacation. Nice cottage, Nice Farm, Nice surroundings. Make Sure you Taste the vinegar!

Let your guests know that they have to reserve a table at the Restaurant in advance... We did Not get the Chance to eat there. And it def seems to be worth it.

Peace and Serenity

This cottage exceeded our expectations in every possible way. More of a 2 bedroom house than a cottage and definitely value for money. Set in the most beautiful natural scenery, this is the perfect farm getaway without being too far from anything else.

What is not to like??? This place is amazing!

Wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely rebook next time we are in Stellies.

The Cottage is wonderful, great location and the staff and owner so helpful and welcoming. I would stay again and again. Located in a farm setting, it is quite and peaceful, but still close to the Town Centre. Beautifully decorated and very spacious.

No Microwave.

Perfect farm stay...

Everything was spectacular... The place, the view, the amenities. We went as a family and my daughters absolutely loved the farm animals, running around the field and the beds with the mosquito nets! The kitchen was very well equipped with quality appliances (and a stunning view!) The place was designed with modern twist to an old cottage... If I had to imagine a fairytale cottage, this is what it would be!

Luxury farm cottage in lush surrounds.

Roomy cottage with stunning bathroom and amenities. The vinegar tasting was a bonus . Staff very friendly and accommodating .

A suggestion: Leave a sample of one of the vinegars in the kitchen - great advertising.

Most amazing farm stay in Stellenbosch

The farm was beautiful. The cottage was nicely decorated, very spacious, light and quiet. The animals were all so cute and well treated. The vibe was amazing. The staff was super friendly and the owners showed us around, wonderfull hospitality.

Beautiful location in comfy cottage to celebrate Birthday in peaceful surrounds!

Very homely cottage with modern applicances + media selection, plus good old fashion board games in front of open fire place. Great Deck with Braai with undisturbed views of fields, trees and hills, not forgetting "Truffles" the chubby pet pig and her friendly Lamas, plus cow friends right next to cottage. Also loved the use of the spacious pool and comfy sun loungers next to the Manor House! Quiet and peaceful location adjacent to a nature reserve yet surprisingly only 3 minutes drive to nearest shops and little further to center of Stellenbosch.

An awesome weekend in God's beautiful creation.

The farm is located in an absolutely beautiful part of Stellenbosch with the most amazing 360 degree views. It is also such a peaceful and quiet spot that we were able to truly relax and unwind from work and health stresses. Hugo is such an awesome and handsome young man!!!

The cottage is really cold but thankfully we had plenty of firewood to make a cosy fire and enjoy the evening in the quaint living area. The bedrooms were also cold so we had to make use of the oil heater to warm up the main bedroom before heading off to bed.

Decor and setting. Environment beautiful.

The shower needs an upgrade - it looks dirty. It will be good to place a dustbin in the 2nd bedroom and a cupboard or bench to place your suitcase on in both rooms. The kitchen does not have a microwave.
