We have enjoyed an incredible two night stay at the Mara Safari Lodge. Our room was clean, bright, and comfortable with an excellent view of giraffes, zebras, and wilder-beast. We booked the Rhino package which ensured we had reserved seats at each type of animal show - all of the shows were brilliant! The Lion Restaurant was a highlight of our stay. Not only was the food delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but the staff are indescribable. Incredibly helpful with bright smiles. In particular, Ayu Eka, Novi, MD Kariasa and Agus Nova really made our trip special. We hope to meet you all again in the future! Sampai jumpa lagi!
Everything was great.

Очень большое разнообразие животных!
Отвратительная еда в ресторане,! Уставшие номера, посредственная работа персонала, задержка при заселении больше чем на час!

Our room was huge with the most amazing view over the pool with zebras and rhinos roaming nearby. All the animals seemed well cared for and the experiences available were incredible! We made so many special memories as a family

The room was cool, looking out at the animals was amazing.
We got given some carrots to feed them from our room, you have to throw them to the animals.
The pool was cool and also overlooked the animals, we were given free entry to walk around the zoo.
If you stay here I would definitely recommend doing the night safari this was amazing and included dinner and a show, it is an extra cost.
Overall was a great experience and I would definitely recommend.
The bathroom just requires a good clean as there was mold on the floor and our bin hadn't been emptied from the last guests.

Amazing experience staying at the lodge, loved waking up to the animals outside the balcony. Safari tour was also very good
Some of the enclosures could be updated and expanded

Unique experience. Purchased the additional night experience which was worth the additional cost.

This is a great spot to stay right amongst the park. The staff are lovely and helpful, the room is large for our family.
The inclusions in the room price were less this time around from our trip 3 years ago and we really noticed it. We were no longer able to go to the Agung show. There was no discount to the night safari as their guest. The Hotel was still good, things just were not as well kept but that I'm sure can be blamed on Covid.

Absolutely loved the breakfast room with the lions and the night safari. We enjoyed the daytime zoo and the proximity to the animals.
The natural features of the zoo were spiritual and melted into natural environment - we had the best time. The night safari exceeded our expectations, and our guide was intelligent and informative.
We did not realise that we could have gone on a daytime safari for free. The reception was not informative and we guessed how to do everything. (this was not due to language barrier) As we were only staying for one night, we were disappointed we missed out.
Not using cash/card at lunch was inconvenient as we had to walk back to the restaurant to get unused credit before we left.

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Safari has lot of animals and we really enjoyed the show and tram. Food is nice and good for the price.
Restaurant is bit hot in some area. They don't have cutlery for toddler. I think it is because majority of the kids here are 5 years plus and ok with adult cutlery.

Clean pleasant room, soft bed, bright bathroom with a window, good workplace, lovely balcony for breakfast.
1. Poor Wi-Fi in the room, for the price it's unacceptable.
2. It is also unacceptable that you keep a lion in a small aviary behind the glass of a Tsavo Lion Restaurant and toilets in a restaurant. It looks disgusting, people are overeating in a restaurant, they go to the toilet, and the lion is locked up. Such entertainment should not be in the 21st century. I hope this aviary will be closed forever, and the lion will walk around the large space of your beautiful park

got a lovely huge room with 3 bedrooms - more than enough for the family - walkable distance to the reception, restaurant and wildlife attractions - but they also provide a buggy if needed. could see the animals walking around the property and dining adjacent to the lions was a new experience.
the food in the restaurant was very poor - both at the dinner - cleverly packaged with the night safari - the only way to ensure somebody eats there. breakfast too was short on quality - in terms of number of items it was okay - but in terms of quality, left much to be desired

The animals are the main attraction and it’s lovely to be able to see them especially for young children.
The rooms are a bit dated and not very clean. The place is a zoo at best and not really a “Safari park”. The constant performances by the animals is a little disconcerting; it seems as though they’re made to perform constantly for the entertainment of the guests e.g. the breakfast / dinner with the lions. Some of the staff appeared overloaded and consequently, a bit unhelpful although many tried hard to their credit. There is only one restaurant and it offers very limited food options especially for young children. Given it’s location, there isn’t much food around the resort, unless you have your own car to get around (which we luckily did have).

Cool concept hotel. Able to see giraffe, rhinoceros, elephants, and zebra from our room!
Connecting rooms are side by side. Not up and down. Book same room types for connecting rooms.

Worth going if you have kids
we’ve been charged of one extra kid + extra bed, for about $150 AUD on top of the booking rate, and making it quite expensive considering the quality

The room is super comfy and the facilities are great. fire dance at night is a plus.
would be nice if we can see some of the animals from the family room.

It was an unforgettable experience when you wake up in the morning, go out on the balcony of your room and can throw carrots to zebras and antelope that graze in front of your windows.
Definitely worth staying here for a night or two to explore the park and relax with a great view of the animals.
Need more carrots;)

Everything. This is the 5th time we have stayed at the Resort. The added bonus this time was the fire dance at the end of the night. Great breakfasts, villas, pools, Safari zoo.
The bbq dinner was disappointing and quite expensive. There was no bbq, just a buffet inside the restaurant. We were expecting salads and bbq meats.
Just basic Indonesian dishes and the meat was very tough!
We were told that it might rain and therefore the bbq would be held inside the restaurant. There was no rain. This is not the first time that we have been here and been told this

amazing experience
plenty of activities provided within the package.
There was an issue with gluten free food which was organized weeks ahead and assured. Initially this was not address and staff didn’t seem to interested until I really got upset at dinner.
This was rectified the next day for breakfast but we were leaving that day.
buffet dinner needs some gluten free options plus a GF dessert.

The staff were lovely and helpful when we decided to end our visit after only an hour.
The safari prides itself on having animals which roam free. However, having literally dozens of tourists sitting on poor captive elephants and forcing them to make endless rides whilst wearing huge harnesses, as well as elephant parades, photo shoots and special shows, is not what I consider to be a cruelty free (or free in any sense of the word). We were unable to cancel after seeing the property, despite not completing our stay. I absolutely blame myself for not doing more thorough research before booking, however there is also a clear element of false advertising. I expected an environment where we could observe the animals in a sanctuary. Make no mistake, you are paying to visit a (granted, very nice) zoo. The pool was also undergoing maintenance which wasn’t warned of prior to check in. A quiet pool (as advertised) might have been the only saving grace of the accommodation. We immediately checked out and moved elsewhere.
