The place is beautifully decorated, the rooms very comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, overall a very pleasant stay at a bargain price.
I had been looking forward to having dinner at the restaurant (very well reviewed) and was a little disappointed to find it closed. Apparently it's been closed for several months due to staffing problems. Alternative options are available in the village.
Nonetheless it was a very enjoyable experience!

The hotel has been very well restored and is a beautiful building inside
It is a shame that the town has very little to offer. I stayed on a Monday night in June and not a single restaurant was open to be able to have dinner
4.5
Absolutely beautiful property, way comfortable, quiet, and as nice a place as could be.
Every morning I have brought my sweetheart a cup of coffee...for years...weather on the road or at home. This place would not let me bring a coffee to the room. Just sayin'...

Breakfast was very Spanish and also very tasty.

it was wonderful, very comfortable room
no staff on at times

"quirky" doesn't quite describe the ambience. Then there is the jazz theme . We've never stayed in anything like this, and loved it despite not being jazz fans. Owners very friendly and helpful, although the place was locked up when we arrived early in the afternoon. As is often the case, hostelries are locked until check-in.
Staff spoke no English, but this is not unusual.

The place is truly amazing. Very relaxing, amazing atmosphere and very friendly owners.
The breakfast could have more options.

Fabulous cosy and unusual hotel. Definitely one to return to.

The overall atmosphere of the whole building. Nothing to look at from the outside but once in it was exceptional
and the Jazz theme from the owner just seemed to make it even better. Our room/bathroom were large and clean the downstairs rooms and inner courtyard again were very comfortable and spacious. Evening meal and the breakfast were very good just a shame about the menu translation on the QR code (a first for us)
Nothing really except the weather

This place is awesome! The owners are very nice and welcoming.
They have their jazz touch everywhere.
It was a great stop on our roadtrip

Loved the theme of the hotel. Gorgeous communal spaces, focusing on the main open courtyard which was a lovely setting for breakfasts and dinner. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the area was a great base for a few nights to explore the surrounding area and in particular the nearby town of Merida. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly with good advice for parking in Merida too.
Breakfasts were perhaps a little meagre compared to other places we've stayed. We ate dinner on our first night but found the portions pretty small for the price. It all tasted really good but we found better and more fulfilling options in Merida.

The hotel is run by a delightful couple and the staff are polite and very caring. The jazz theme and music is quirky and wonderful. The food in the restaurant is really good.

The hotel was great, quite and family-like. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant/breakfast was delicious. We'll be staying at this hotel every time we'll be in the area.
Nothing to complain about

everything, great hospitality!
nothing to do in the very small, but close to Mérida and that was the reason to stay there

Lovely decorated room and great hosts. When weather is warmer the courtyard must be wonderful. Good location to access Merida.
Room downstairs was a little dark. Breakfast a bit limited.

Amazing inside the hotel. the details of the jazz theme were superb and rooms were wonderful. a lovely real Spanish experience. great for an overnight stay driving through Spain.
In a very small village but this hotel was so lovely it didn’t matter.

What a gorgeous place! Every detail was exceptional. We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast in a beautiful Spanish patio. The room is very spacious, spotless clean and quiet. The mattress is new and comfortable. My wife and I had a wonderful time at Cerro Principe.
Everything was perfect

Unusual and querky hotel. In a small town in which we enjoyed a rainy day in a local bar.
Breakfast wasn't brilliant!

A lovely rural hotel with very friendly owners, A spacious and quiet room with well working Wifi. Shower had excellent water pressure.
I am glad I brought my own shower gel because the one left in the room was too heavily strawberry scented. For a Spanish hotel I would have expected fresh orange juice for breakfast instead out of a carton

The best hotel in this part of Spain! Highly recommend!
