Amazing views. Shocking dining options..

The hotel is STUNNING. The views and the quality of the hotel is spectacular - HOWEVER people booking should be aware of how bad the food situation is and how bad the access is which make it hard to go out.. .

We are so disappointed with the food situation at the hotel. The hotel has a separately owned restaurant and no other food option for hotel guests. It is ALL fine dining. - No light lunch menu - just the same a l carte menu that the restaurant uses lunch AND dinner !!! - menu is extremely overpriced and limited. - no snack menu - no menu for round the pool - no service around the pool - no vegetarian option - no selection for pregnant women. Chef offered VERY limited selection. Charged us €21 for a plate of tomatoes at evening meal. Shocking!! - the breakfast was shocking..NO menu. We asked for Eggs Benedict and was looked at like an alien. Limited basic choice that is extremely overpriced about €38 for 2 people and it was tomatoes, one cheese, very dry pastries. The hotel itself is gorgeous but the restaurant COMPLETELY let's it down. I can see there is so much similar feedback on booking.com but the hotel has done NOTHING about it. We would not recommend this hotel based on the food options which actually completely ruined the stay to be honest. We were either hungry or paying for very expensive fine dining for lunch and dinner averaging €200 a day. Noone likes to be ripped off

Gorgeous location, understaffed and lots of wasps.

The location was spectacular - located within walking distance to trailheads, which was a fabulous surprise. The staff provided us with some great recommendations on hikes that we could do, and ways that we could maximize our time hiking and seeing the nearby villages. The scenery at the resort is spectacular, and the staff does the best that they can, even while being under staffed.

The staff worked REALLY hard, but they could use a few more people to help make the service even better. There was also a horrible wasp problem, so while there were beautiful views - we could not enjoy them for breakfast because we kept getting attacked by wasps, so we ate most of our breakfasts inside, alone, which was such a shame. The service at the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) also was extremely slow (not for a lack of effort- they just really need more staff). I think that the methods the hotel was using to try to detract wasps from guests were actually encouraging wasps (by putting honey near the bushes, near peoples' food), because no other place nearby had such a horrible wasp issue. For the price point, I would expect slightly better service and experience.

Wonderful - shame about the first room

Breakfast was wonderful and the food at the restaurant was extremely good. Setting absolutely gorgeous. A truly special place and we would love to return, but would want to choose the room we stayed in.

Honeymoon visit, we booked a top tier room. However was rather disappointed with the first room that we received, (room 12) we were eventually on our last night of 3 moved to room 14 which was incomparable. Feel somewhat disappointed that these rooms are charged at the same price and, in my opinion, are wildly different offerings. Not only the views that they offer but also the bathroom facilities, the light, general ambience, and space.

Lovely hotel but the road getting there a bit treacherous!! Very steep windy track to the hotel.

The hotel and the setting were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit slow but very good!

Getting there is not for the faint hearted!! The drive is very steep and along a very windy narrow track. It's not somewhere where you pop out regularly.

This place is unbelievable. The setting is breathtaking, and it is well appointed and decorated. The food served both at breakfast and in the main restaurant at dinner was incredible.

Maybe work on the driveway a little? Didn't bother me, though.

Outstanding accommodation, superb location, great restaurant, very helpful and friendly staff

Nothing. But having said that the location is superb with spectacular views it requires a car or taxi to get to the hotel as walking to the nearest village or restaurant (Soller) takes around 1 hr down a steep hill. This is important to remember as the fantastic restaurant is closed on Monday evenings.

Getting away from the city and experiencing the mountains was the highlight of my trip.

I think the property is stunning. I loved my suite. The views were unmatched. The food was good at the restaurant. Our room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. I loved my private patio and the minibar was convenient.

I do not think it should have been almost 400 EU/night. I was disappointed in the service at the restaurant. It was extremely slow and poor communication. I am happy to wait, as long as I am acknowledged and drinks are served in a timely manner, especially when I am the only patron at the place. Communication was the major issue with taxis and transportation. I understand that sometimes the taxis are delayed, but keeping us posted on wait time is essential. We were told the taxi would arrive in 15 minutes, we waited 1 1/2 hours, until someone finally told us what the delay was. That is unacceptable. In a 5 Star establishment, with beautiful facilities and views, I expect a higher level of service. Other than that, I really enjoyed the property.

Beautiful hotel, nice location but challenging drive up to the hotel.

The hotel setting is beautiful with many olive trees draping on the terrace and views over the mountains. The hotel is decorated nicely, feels like it has been kept well and updated when required. We had a big room on the top floor, room 8 with a small outdoor terrace that had partial sun, a bathtub and big bed with a smart TV. The room however had beams that you would hit your head against when no careful.

Location is between Soller and Deia, however the drive up to the hotel is on a very hilly, dirt track with lots of sharp turns and uneven road/ pot holes. If there is a car coming the other way, it is a bit of a problem, especially after dark. The drive up the dirt track is about 4mins to the hotel. The swimming pool and hot tub area did not have that many beds and not positioned too well for the sun, lots of trees in the way.

One of the most beautiful properties I've ever stayed in - I hope to be back!

The property is so beautiful and the location is breathtaking with fantastic views and walks nearby. I travelled alone and the staff were very accommodating and lovely on everything and I felt very comfortable there. Having booked only a standard double room I was impressed by the size and the facilities.

The dinner menu was pretty expensive even relative to London restaurants but the food was delicious and I guess you are paying for the fantastic views.

Romantic, historic hideaway in beautiful mountain landscape.

Very romantic, authentic and historic dream location with amazing views! Restaurant was good! Very calm hideaway.

Not too much to criticize. Coffee was not 100% ours. No lactose free butter. Really not much to worry about.

Special Birthday Stay-cation from Palma

The location was breathtaking with stunning views. The exterior of the hotel had such character and beautiful plants / grounds. The view from the infinity pool was certainly special.

The room we were allocated was quite dated (to be expected in a hotel / building of this age) but it did not match the picture of the room I booked as the window was tiny - all other room types of the one we booked had a large ceiling to floor door style window while we had a tiny window miles away from the bed in a ‘mountain view’ room. I’m not sure why this was.. but having been a luxury travel consultant for 5 years previously I can say the hotel is stunning but we were disappointed with the depiction of the room & small window / lack of view. I would recommend booking a cottage or room with some outside space and that would be perfect for a complete escape.

Heaven in a hotel

This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The views are incredible. You can sit in a hot tub with a view of the mountains, drinking champagne. Or have an aperol spritz in the infinity pool as the sun sets. The terrace and restaurant is wonderful, and the staff are all helpful, friendly and not at all snobby. The location is remote and beautiful, but you can drive to small towns quite quickly (or hike there if you wish). Top marks!
