Wonderful hotel which promotes it's 60s vibes

Beach bungalow location was great. Peaceful. Right on the beach. Club cart service was very good taking you around the resort. Room service food exceptional as was all the restaurants we went to. Breakfast was very good with lots of high quality options.
Reception staff were warm and friendly.
Cart drivers great guys and friendly
Kohylia restaurant was amazing- staff friendly food exceptional and warm ambience.
Ouzeri - our waitress was great. A little bit of a stuffy atmosphere but pleasant. Very formal at times and some staff aloof.
Grand Beach was lovely. Bit disorganized with the plazza bed reservations as we had to move a few times.
But nothing to complain about too much. Don't need a bed reservation for other locations so I will know for next time.
Pillows weren't great very flat. Only 2 per bed

The location was the only thing we really liked and the little golf cart club cars made getting around easy. We were also glad we only had a short stay.
Did not get the beach front bungalow (with the ability to walk out to a sandy beach) that we booked and fed a line about being "upgraded" however, the room we were given was dated and dirty / ants all over the room and rotting wood floor in the bathroom that pinched your feet if you weren't careful.
Worse, the steam sauna barely functioned and the attempt to use the jacuzzi bath resulted in a disgusting experience. After filling up the tub I hit the button to turn on the jets. Within seconds I was completely covered with a disgusting, toilet paper-like substance that came shooting out of the jets, clinging to my body everywhere and grossing me out. I tried in vain to brush it off, but it clung to me and the only way to get it off was with the shower nozzle - blasting it off.
Called the front desk, but never got an explanation nor an apology.
Despite having a beach attendant, this 'resort' plays the same silly games of people coming to claim a chair at the crack of dawn and not coming back til midday, resulting in people who actually came to the beach not having a spot or being relegated to corners, while dozens of loungers along the water were saved with books and towels. The beach attendants were completely complicit (as we watched) and we saw more than a few disgruntled people leave the area after not being able to get a lounge chair.
Through conversations we had with people sitting near us, many of the chairs were taken up by locals who were there for the day vs. resort guests.
Lastly, the dining is horribly overpriced. We paid over 300€ for a simple dinner which was made less enjoyable by all the cigar smokers sitting amidst the diners puffing away and blowing their smoke in diner's faces.
This was not the experience we hoped for and would not return or recommend this place. This was a very expensive stay with a very unpleasant result.

Beach was excellent, and the food in all the facilities was very good. One restaurant, the Ouzeri, was a standout. The staff throughout was excellent.
Well, the devil is in the details. The stairways outside our bungalow were not kept clean, and the grass area in front of the two bungalows was dead, like straw. Some kind of artificial turf would’ve been better. Finally, the bathrooms could use some work. The cold water was consistently warm to hot. There was also an odor in the bathroom that we never could get rid of. Sometimes it was bad.

GRL was a fabulous place to visit. It sits on a little peninsula a little south-west of Athens. We had spent a few days in Athens followed by a few days at GRL on the beach. We had a couple of issues initially, but the manager soon addressed these resulting in a good end to a holiday of a lifetime. All the staff were super friendly on the resort, including the team refilling Nespresso capsules, Cabby Car drivers, housekeeping and restaurant staff. The food at the resort restaurants was amazing - but more so, due to their location, views, and service - these meals were an 'experience' - However, they were not cheap but you need to recognise you are paying for more than a meal!
Above all, the service was excellent - could not fault how we were looked after by the Manager, Panagiotis Lachanas, and all the staff. Good job and thank you for making this an experience of a lifetime.
We stayed in two different bungalows, the original ones were good, with idillic views and 'walk-on' beaches direct from the front door, but the need some maintenance, both inside and outside. The resort are aware of this so I would encourage travellers to check which bungalows they are in. As you move more inwards towards the centre of the resort, the quality and standard of the bungalows is exceptional. We moved after day 1 and the difference was significant. I believe the standard of the Mediterranean Bungalow is far superior to the Deluxe Bungalows, from what we saw. So, if you can make sure you go for Med bungalows over the Deluxe or anything above that, you are onto a winner!

everything was perfect, from the very friendly staff (which is rare in Greece sometimes!) to the superb food, location, beaches, plants and gardens and everything else. Bath products are Korres which is also amazing.

I wanted to get my hair done and I called to book a blow dry some days before my arrival at the resort. When I called to make the appointment, they offered me the option to either for the hairdresser to come to my room or I can go to the hair saloon of the hotel. I chose the latter and confirmed it with both the reception and the hairdresser.
On the day, I had many phone calls with the reception regarding again the option of the hairdresser to come to my room or me going to the saloon - they offered it as an option. After many back and forth, I went to the saloon where I came to realise that it is closed down and not any more in use (literally no shampoos or towels available there). They opened it just for me 10 mins before my appointment and you could see and smell that it’s not in use.
The hairdresser did her best to provide me with the service, however, since the hair saloon is not operating anymore, the hotel management should inform the guests that the only service is at the guests room and not to offer another option. What’s the point?!
It is supposed to be a 5 star resort providing different facilities and services which is far from the reality.

The location is excellent…I highly recommend the bungalows since you will have your own private beach…it’s really clean and nice beach very exclusive.
Really too pricy for the value and not many choices for food at the hotel

Awesome friendly and customer oriented team of the hotel. I was offered free upgrade and even more extraordinary thing was that the hotel offered me a room for temporary accommodation due to my late departure! Any my requests were served extremely fast. Room size and comfort were really great, territory of the hotel is huge and very green. There is a number of beaches, you would have a chance to select one next to your place of staying. All of them are very clean with great comfortable water and approach. Linen and towels were very fresh and are changed daily. Anti COVID measures are superb, extremely safe place. No crowds anywhere and strong sanitary rules.
Only two small bottles of water per day... Not very effective way of savings, spoiling general impression. There are only two restaurants which frankly speaking are extremely overpriced even for 5 star hotel. Even basic showers at the beach in front of beachfront bungalows would help a lot. Last thing is not about hotel itself but you need to understand that the hotel is a pice of heaven in somewhere, there are nothing to visit around, no any typical greek towns \ villages closer than 30 km
