Hope to be back one day!

Maria was lovely, always available, always smiling, always helpful. The rooms are exactly as in the pictures, simple yet spacious with comfy beds, and breezy during nightime. The breakfast was simple, but with different options, and freshly baked cakes by Maria - a great daystarter. We loved the location and in general the northern part of the island, we loved Mr Niko's boat trips, both to Saria and the secluded beaches, overall we loved our stay and we felt kind of like home. Filakia Maria!

Superb

Nikos, the owner, was fantastic, he turned up at the port at 3am to meet the ferry, which was nearly 7 hours late. The room was perfect for me, a decent size with functioning air-con and fridge, there was also a nice balcony with a lovely view over rooftops to the village and sea beyond. For a small extra charge Nikos drove me to Olympos, the must-see traditional village up a pretty nerve-wracking mountain road, and came back to collect me later.

The hotel was fine but the location really is remote, one bus a week, that's it unless you can get a ride from a returning tourist boat to Pigadia and that's not certain. There are no taxis and I ended up paying someone to take me back over the mountain to Pigadia about 90 minutes hair-raising drive away. A car is a must but the road is all mountainous hairpin bends with occasional rock-falls; you need to be a confident driver.

Love it here, will be back

Excellent hotel, we were looked after so well again by Nikos and his wonderful family. Great value, great breakfast, comfortable room with cooking facilities and a balcony, nothing was too much trouble for them to make our stay memorable.

A great place to relax in Diafani

Clean, comfortable, quiet accommodations located near the port and village. A friendly welcome on arrival by ferry. Great value. I would definitely stay here again.

A very calm and lovely vacation with a warm host! Nothing missing

I loved staying at Nikos, it was just wonderful! I got welcomed very warmly and whenever I needed something they helped me out! A warm smile in the morning at breakfast and tips for tours. Got the feel of great hospitality and just really had a wonderful relaxing vacation... And especially in the beginning when I was still a bit unsure, of my alone-travelling a got a lot of moral support from Maria, that really helped me to find into my holiday...Thank you, Nikos, Marina, Manolis and Maria! You made my vacation very special!

Exceptional

A wonderful welcome from Nikos and his family, nothing was too much trouble to them to make our stay enjoyable. Good breakfast with local home-made treats, good size balcony for watching the sea.

Nothing - the hotel is simple and good value which is how we like it - we’ll be back!

Very clean and spacious room. The owners were very polite and helpful. From the hotel, you can also book a daily cruise to Saria as well, captain Nikos is the most suitable for this purpose!

A great experience overall

Nikos Hotel is a family establishment and during your stay you are going to interact with all of them one way or another experiencing the legendary Greek hospitality. They are super helpful and ready to respond to every request. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable.

Pleasent stay in Diafani

Nikos hotel is a family hotel located in a perfect position to visit Diafani, Olympos, Avlona, Saria island and to go hiking in the north of Karpathos. We had a nice stay. Friendly owners and good breakfast.

The hotel is a little bit old, but we had anything we needed.

The perfect point from which to explore Karpathos and Saria - and to return to in tne evenings.

I found the perfect spot for my short stay on Karpathos. Nikos is the address for travel in little Diafani - you get picked up and taken to the ferry, get a very comfortable room with beautiful sea views, a good breakfast (especially the homemade jams), and Nikos also runs one of the two tour boats out of the village (I did both tours offered) and is the person to buy your ferry ticket from. Plus, Diafani is close to the famous and picturesque mountain village of Olympos.

Usually I find something to say here, but for once I can't think of anything at all. Please keep it as it is...

Exceptional

Excellent location. Excellent value for money. Very large twin room with private bathroom and a balcony. And also a useful kitchenette. Nice breeze/wind on the top floor. Very helpful communication with Nikos' son before and during my stay. Nikos also organizes boat trips to Saria (highly recommended!) and other nearby beaches.

Superb

Staff really helpful. Lift from the ferry port. Breakfast ok. Excellent value for money. Very near to town centre and beaches and restaurants. ( Chrissi Akti is good and the draught beer very cold ! ) Sun rises are spectacular.

Need to hire an odd job man for a week to replace light bulbs not working , light switches that are broken and stop windows and doors rattling . Didn't affect holiday though and not a major problem .

We spent a great time at Nikos. The building is a bit old and the kitchenette was not so equipped but Nikos and Marina are very kind and helpful and they gave us everything we need and much more. The bathroom is new and it is much better then the greek standard with a big shower and a hanging shower head. But the real plus are the owners, Nikos and Marina. They are very special persons and we felt like at home with them. Nikos told us about the history and the present of Diafani and the villages around, he gave us a lot of helpful and interesting information and he arranged for us two wonderful excursion with his boat. Marina prepared excellent breakfasts, cakes and pites. If you are looking for a quite place with excellent value for money, friendly welcome and very worm people choose Nikos, we highly recommend it!

Maybe could be helpful having wifi in the room and not only in the common area.

Home away from home

Marina and Nikos are great hosts with a lot of passion for their work. Nikos will come and pick you up if you arrive by ferry. Hotel has a very good view from all the balconies. Breakfast has a nice variety to choose from, always delicious cakes.
