Lage und Restaurant sind gut!
Das in früheren Bewertungen gelobte Frühstück (eigene Obstsäfte, Eierspeisen, regionale Produkte) war ein einziger Flop: nur Supermarktware, nur alte, gekochte Eier!

Nice hotel, air conditioning in the rooms which was needed. Great restaurant where we eat the best Schnitzel ever!
Almost next to a church which starts ringing the time at 4am.

A good stop in this gasthof during our travel to North Europe in a quiet and nice village. The reataurant has also an outdoor area and looked good but we didn't use it.

Very nice quiet hotel. Big airconditioned room and ability to have dinner outside. Enough parking and very near to Basel and A5. Great place to stay when you travel further to the south, or to visit the Basel region. I loved it.
Rooms are a little dated, however it suits perfectly the location and nature of the hotel.

I really appreciated the warm and personal welcome when I arrived after a very long journey. Pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely location, excellent breakfast. Hope to stay again.
The single room was comfortable, simple furnishings.

The stuff was really friendly and thoughtful. We could choose between 2 rooms, had no problems to upgrade our room when my sister came and get all extras we wanted.

Well located near transport hubs, nicely furnished and a homely feel of a traditional German ‘hof’. The staff were just lovely, welcoming, polite, thoughtful and gracious with a warm sense of humour. The guy at reception was brilliant. Also the room was good value for money.
The restaurant was good quality, but overpriced I thought. The food was well cooked, service a little too quick but professional. So, it’s not that I didn’t like it - just felt a little expensive for what it was.

Ample free parking.

In the middle of a quiet village, spacious room. Good restaurant, for dinner and breakfast. Worth travelling the extra mile from Switserland (if only because everything is much cheaper in Germany). Friendly and helpful staff. Easy travelling distance from the autobahn.
There is carpet on the floor... (which may be a personal taste: it never feels completely clean).
The shower cabin is not suitable for bodybuilders

we met very nice and open people who served a good traditional breakfast ; we were excited about the fact that despite the pandemic situation inclusive all restrictions everything worked very well. We appreciated the special attention for the wellbeing of our dog !
