Good but there were some minor downsides

Pros: great location in the heart of old Krakow, everything within walking distance. Amazing old building, allows you to really touch history. Overall a good hotel, great restaurant which is definitely worth a visit. Quite varied breakfast, good quality. Very professional staff. Tours and trips can be organized directly from the hotel, which is convenient.

My room was ok but not great, quite small and the windows overlooked the wall. The bed was quite hard and after the first couple of nights my back hurt. A big minus is the cleaning of the room, to be honest there was dirt in many places and it was obvious that some parts of the room had not been touched for a long time. The housekeeping staff never vacuumed the carpet in my room during my entire stay. Very weak AC, the room was often stuffy, but you have to make allowance for the fact that the building is old. Another important point specifically for me, I don’t know about others, I think it is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel to have flies swarming on the plates with food at breakfast. This really puts off your appetite and does not look worthy of a hotel with such an excellent reputation.

Дизайнерский высококлассный отель в лучшем месте в самом центре возле знаменитого музея, очень большой и красивый номер,кофемашина и чайник, завтрак вкуснейший , и буфет , и по меню одновременно, заботливый персонал. Очень довольны, что остановились именно в этом отеле.

Among the best hotels I have been to

The most beautiful entrance hall and rooms. Fantastic stay and great staff!! Immediate help given in any topic. Super clean and attractive facilities. 24-h reception. Comfy beds and pillows. Got upgraded upon arrival without asking. Impressive antique design, the whole room was golden.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in Krakow in a beautiful, perfectly located character hotel.

Location is absolutely perfect for a tourist trip to Krakow. Everything in the Old Town is walkable, the area is quiet. The delux room was very spacious and either a little dated, or in keeping with the style of the hotel, depending on your point of view. And staff were always fantastically helpful.

Being a 5* hotel it tends to offer luxury tourist trips to the main out-of-town places of interest: Aushwitz and the Salt Mines, only at somewhat higher prices that are available elsewhere. Would have been better to have a choice of ways to visit these

I’d stay here again.

Location was great. 5 mins from the main square. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, we were initially put in a room which had previously had smokers in, when we complained, another room was made available to us with no fuss.

Breakfast was very expensive so we didn’t bother!

Great location but won’t be staying again.

Amazing location and nicely decorated.

During the check in we received a key to someone else’s room. We went upstairs opened the room and there were someone’s belongings in there, including a mobile phone. We found that highly disturbing and considered it as a serious security breach. The staff should have double checked the room number during check in process to be sure that correct key is provided.

Piękne wnętrze, atmosfera, bardzo kulturalna obsługa. Smaczne śniadanie. Bardzo przyjemna temperatura, ponieważ w wielu hotelach zwyczajnie jest za gorąco, zwłaszcza zimą, kiedy wchodzi się z zewnątrz, z ujemnych temperatur.

Très bon petit déjeuner, la chambre spacieuse et confort de la literie

La façade de l'hotel est en travaux ce qui entraine certaines nuisances sonores actuellement ( pas le week end ) mais comme nous sommes restés jusqu'au lundi nous avons été réveillés très tôt le lundi matin...

Excellent rapport qualité - prix, emplacement très appréciable à proximité des sites touristiques

Accueil sympathique, grande disponibilité du personnel. Hôtel de charme, escaliers magnifiques, suite très confortable. Vue plongeante sur des sites touristiques de toute beauté , Proximité de la place centrale. Excellent petit déjeuner, produits de première qualité

Personne ne m’a prévenue que l’hôtel était en travaux et qu’il y aurait du bruit à partir de 7 h et quart le matin. Or, j’étais arrivée en pleine nuit … J’avais demandé une chambre dans les étages supérieurs, mais je me suis retrouvée au premier étage … je suppose que c’était à cause des travaux sur l’une des fassades. Le mobilier est plutôt vieillot!

Renovation work outside, we couldn't find the hotel on arrival by taxi. We ought to have been forewarned. Cups in room were not always washed.

Exceptional

Upon arriving, staff were welcoming and attentive. I've stayed in so many hotels and this is top tier. If you ever needed help, there was someone there. I loved every morning being welcomed by your name. The staff took the time to treat you like family, not just a business customer. Happily stay again

The only issue which was resolved quickly was that I needed two pillows instead of one.

Truly Excellent stay!

The hotel Francuski is located in historic center of Krakow. This was my fourth stay in one of the apartments with a fantastic view from the apartment window on Czartoryski Museum and Florianska gate. This hotel is filled with an old elegance and the spacious apartment is tastefully decorated. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices and served very elegantly. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel management requires special praise for an outstanding professionalism. They are there to provide the truly best experience for the hotel guests.
