About this house rental

Modern, nicely decorated casita, our guest house, 1 BR, 1.5 bath in the heart of the Zilker neighborhood, walking distance to restaurants and downtown. Highlight is a terrace with fabulous downtown view. It is very private, set in the back of our spacious property. A great place to vacation and enjoy Austin. Quiet neighborhood where everyone knows each other. Perfect place to make home base while exploring Austin. Close to Zilker Park where ACL is held, downtown and famous South Congress district are also nearby.

We are just returning from a week long stay in Austin and really enjoyed our VRBO there! We stayed as a family of 4 and needed to be close to the Palmer Events Center. This location was great to access Palmer Events Center. There was plenty of space for a family of 4 with a few restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. The hostess for this property, Susana is wonderful to work with!!! She was always very quick to respond to any questions & very helpful!!! We would stay here again if needing to return to Austin.

This was a perfect place to stay while in town for my son’s orientation at UT. I loved the neighborhood. I walked to Merit coffee every morning. The Casita had everything we needed. Loved the rain head shower, everything was clean, and that amazing view from the upstairs deck!

I brought by daughter down for a concert and we stayed here. It's a great spot and a generous host. She slept upstairs on the couch/futon and the memory foam topper was a great touch and added to her comfort. The bed downstairs was comfy and the downstairs generally had a sort of a Studio apartment feel. The few from the upstairs deck is great at night for late night conversations. This place is perfectly located near downtown and so many things to do! Thanks for a great stay!

What a perfect stay - so thoughtfully put together with everything we needed provided. Mornings waking up to that view/ evenings closing it down looking out over the city - just magical! The location couldn't be better. I really couldn't recommend any more highly, it is perfect!

Very cool spot right off of South Lamar. The place is clean and the balcony is great for happy hour. Also, the location is walkable to the Alamo Draft House and the Gibson bar. Owner is friendly and responded to my questions.

We had a very good time in the guest house of Susana. Perfect view to the skyline of Austin. There was a problem with the lock. Although it occurs on Sunday, Susana solved this problem within an hour. She was very friendly.

it's all that we look for in a vrbo rental...close, comfortable, clean, roomy. the upper deck with its view is icing on the cake. Susana doesn't need to change a thing. we had a traveling glitch while we were there. Susana was eager to help us out of our bind.

Outstanding location to everything and walking distance to my granddaughters apartment. Sleeping on the convertible sofa bed was not very comfortable. Had to get a foam topper. Otherwise the house was wonderful. For anyone who likes walking it will satisfy your daily steps. Neighborhood is nice with no concerns about walking even at night. Austin in general is a very safe city to wander around. Will definitely rent again

The place is so beautiful and well equipped. Location is quiet and safe. We had a rental car so it was a short distance into Austin and other locations. Great View if the city. We loved the deck and the two living areas! Thank you so much!

We have gone to six ACL festivals and this was the best place we have stayed at yet. Susana was a great host. The amenities were amazing. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing. We loved having coffee in the morning on the back deck seeing Austin wake up.

The communication was great, check-in and check-out were very easy, and the casita is so clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, and we loved reading on the upstairs futons. The location is great, within walking distance of plenty of food options, and we loved the view of the downtown from the balcony. It's a great place to relax. I highly recommend this casita as a convenient, clean, and comfortable place to stay.

Owner was very amenable to last minute date adjustment for my niece’s final basketball game of the season. (My brother is also one of the coaches) Check in was a breeze with all information clearly communicated prior to arrival. She also let us park in her carport with the rental car which was very nice; above and beyond. The upstairs view is spectacular of downtown Austin, especially at night. I would highly recommend this property to family and friends.

We spent 4 nights in Austin to check out the city. The property is walking distance (2-3 miles) from downtown. The neighborhood of the home is nice some of the surrounding area is sketchy for us non city folks. The bed was super comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Great walk in shower and bath. We thoroughly enjoyed the balcony area. My wish would be an umbrella or awning for the morning hours. Great spot for coffee or cocktails. Casita was clean and the owner was quick to communicate when needed.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. It was clean, unique, and close to everything we wanted to do in Austin. Not to mention the Barton Springs neighborhood has some of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The host was super responsive and the place was exactly as it is listed. No surprises, which in this case is a good thing!

First time visitors , in town for a family wedding. Susana was easy peasy communicate with. Initially told her we’d not being renting a car, last minute we did and she was very accommodating, giving up her spot in her drive for us. Property is darling, clean, good supplies, great yard with plenty outdoor activities. Our favorite feature by far was the deck overlooking downtown Austin. Easy location for Ubers & Lyfts. Great location.

What an amazing and beautiful place! Even though it is close to major road, there was such quiet and serenity here. Beautiful. A true gem! So grateful to have been able to stay here.
