The location was perfect after walking the first day of the Camino leg. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The building is beautiful, and the rooms/apartments had everything we needed after a hard day walk over the Pyrenees. The restaurant onsite served delicious food and service with a smile. Breakfast next morning had everything you could want before setting off on your next Camino leg.
Wifif took a bit of time to get into.

Excellent location, good food and fabulous breakfast for only €10.
Nothing to dislike

Close to the camino. Very, very helpful receptionist. I had an excellent dinner and breakfast.

As a walker on the Camino - we were very pleased to arrive and the hot shower and comfortable bed was welcome. it is a captive market but compared to other places we have stayed for much less and way better facilities - value is not there. dinner was very nice and well priced.
very steep stairs from bedroom to kitchen area of apartment very dangerous. curtains hanging between 2 bedrooms is not very suitable.

The luggage delivery service in Saint Jean Pied du Port (Express Bourricot) suggested that I book a room here instead of sleeping in the dorms at the monastery because the first day of The Camino, up and over the Pyrenees Mountains, is the most difficult. I'm very happy I took her advice. This place was luxurious. The food in the restaurant was not great. It was just okay. In all other ways, it exceeded my expectations.
As I said above, the restaurant food wasn't great. It was just okay.

The room was a great size and comfortable
The meal in the evening was superb
There was a lot of confusion about Pilgrims vouchers for meal. we spent a long time trying to get some.with no luck.
This resulted in some of our friends having a Pilgrims meal in our hotel but we were not able too which seemed odd.
The 3 course meal we did have was great so it wasn’t the end of the world

This hotel is good, but probably too expensive for long distance pilgrims: Santiago de Compostela is 800 kms to the west.
Remember that the small village of Roncesvalles attracts pilgrims who come for religious reasons. However, apart from the Albergue, there are also a few hotels with restaurants and cafes. There is a souvenir shop. Supermarkets will be found in the villages around Roncesvalles. Most days there is a bus service.

It was clean and comfortable. Absolutely no issues and value for money. Breakfast was a buffet and was top notch.
It was a stop over so we didn't get much of an opportunity to look around. Bar service closed early. No reception staff on until 9am.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, spacious, and quiet. We had a comfortable stay at the hotel. The hotel dinner offered good food.
The decoration of the room and the furniture for the seating area in the room are quite basic. The restaurant staff was noticeably very impatient when taking our order. They should not rush their customers and instead should have made us feel at ease.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the night before we started on the Camino. The entryway into the hotel is beautiful, the stone floors are exquisite. Our room was super comfortable and the dinner was amazing. It’s in such a gorgeous location and we felt well rested and ready to start walking.

This hotel is a welcome retreat after the challenging hike down from St Jean Pied de Port. We also stayed here on our Camino in 2019 and were given the exact same room, which we loved. It’s on the third floor with little skylights that open out to the sky & the forest behind. The room is actually a little apartment with sitting area, small kitchen and separate bedroom and bathroom. The room was perfectly quiet and cozy. The only thing we notice is that the furnishings are a little more worn than in 2019, but perhaps that’s the effect of the pandemic. They do offer a pilgrim menu from 7:00 to 8:00 but as vegetarians we found it to be somewhat limited for €12 each. We opted for two appetizers rather than the main that was pork or fish. Dessert was a very dry cake which we didn’t eat. We thought it was amusing that people arriving for the pilgrim menu are seated in a separate room with bare tables and plastic chairs rather than the more formal dining room. Altogether, though, we would very much recommend a stay in this very peaceful place.
There’s nothing not to like.

I had to change the date of arrival a couple of times and they were able to accommodate me. It was very clean, the room had everything we could need and they were able to wash our clothes.
nothing I didn’t like!

The property was beautiful. We are dinner in the restaurant and also breakfast the next day. It was perfect for our group of 3 people. It has a nice little kitchen that was lovely but we did not need since we were there for only one night!

We had an apartment and we really liked it. The location is ideal, in the middle of the religious complex at Roncesvalles. A gorgeous old monastic building converted into a modern hotel / hostel. Shower and WiFi worked really well. Room was very clean. Bed very comfortable. It was possible to eat a pilgrim meal in the pilgrim dining room or a more expensive hotel meal in the hotel restaurant.
No kettle and no tea/ coffee in the room, though the staff found coffee for us in the kitchen and there is a coffee percolator. Yes there is pretty much nothing to not like.
