The room was spacious and beautiful views.
The hotel was basically closed, only 1 person from the staff was there… hard to ask for drinks and hotel was fully closed up. The pool was dirty when we went to swim and it felt almost like we had paid £400 to just rent a room rather than be at a 4 star hotel.
4.1
the setting of the hotel is tranquil and the staff were friendly.
the rooms are antiquated. the door can only be locked by the metal shutters. the glass door doesn’t have a lock. therefore you have to close the shutter for security and then you are locked in a concrete room with no window or visuals of outside.
Also there was no bedside lamp - for my husband to read at night an entire system of bright lights above our heads and my bedside light had to be on.
We left a day earlier because I couldn’t cope with being in the room.
Only restaurant available was a dégustation restaurant - not possible to relax by pool and order any light food or snacks.

Simply amazing. Delicious. The kindest breakfast lady and staff who pampered our every whim. The reception, maintenance, as well as restaurant staff were just lovely. Attentive, kind and so helpful.
Everything was perfect!

The plumbing had issues that were quickly addressed. Wifi was terrible and rooms were dark. It wasn’t very busy and we felt we needed to keep very quiet in the dining areas.
4.1
lovely location on its own beach
despite the “toilet block “ outside appearance, the rooms were nice and clean . very good cleaners
breakfast was excellent ( so it should be for 30 euros each ) as were the serving staff
large pool, not heated
the property advertised three restaurants
none were open for our first two nights. the reception staff, not exactly helpful in suggesting restaurants we could try ! ( nearest being several miles away )

Great setting on the bay
The food, they are trying to be something that can’t deliver, our food was so overcooked, what a waste of good fish.
Reduce your menu and concentrate on delivering good food, this was really poor.

Great breakfast served outside, freshly squeezed orange juice every morning, good quality products and very good coffee too. The view from the table was amazing and being so close to the sea shoreline made it even more special.

Pool, restaurants, environnement, breakfast
A bit too close from the Porto Vecchio port, it doesn’t really feel like swimming or bathing there, which makes the hotel beach a bit irrelevant (apart from the nice view).
Breakfast is way too expensive

Most Horrendous Experience Ever
We have been traveling worldwide as a family for 7 years and the treatment at Hotel Belvedere is absolutely the worst experience of our lives - across multiple hotels around the world.
There were three of us traveling and I had originally booked a hotel room at Hotel Belvedere for two adults. I immediately emailed the hotel after booking months in advance to notify them we have a child with us and he would need to stay in the room. No problem noted the hotel and a 20euro charge per night. I said that was fine and secured the room for 3 pax.
Fast forward to checkin months later at the height of August travel in Porto Vecchio and the dumbfounded reception at Hotel Belvedere notes that only 2 people allowed in this room. I quickly pull up the email communication between us and reception notes that it is their error and in two nights they’ll be able to put us into a larger
Suite. We left reception with that being an acceptable alternative albeit we would have a rather cramped two nights at the hotel.
Then with no warning staff at the hotel notify us we will not be able to stay at the hotel , even for one night and now we will not be able to stay in the suite citing an insurance policy not allowing this. They were kicking us out in a foreign country at the height of tourist season. Obviously with hotels booked up we were stressed and angry about the situation Hotel Belvedere was contemplating putting us in.
This was obviously them not wanting to upgrade us to the suite and they now took the stance that this entire issue was our fault despite admitting their error earlier. It was purely a monetary decision which adds to our disgust with Hotel Belvedere.
After begging and pleading they allowed us to stay in the room for the night and suggested that they were doing us a favour. We paid full price for the room and not so much of an apology or anything from this hotel.

Beautiful location, breakfast perfect
All great

Beautiful architecture and decor, lovely terrace, the food is amazing, the bed super comfortable. Breakfast is great and good service in the restaurants. Very nice beach nearby.
Did not feel particularly welcomed at reception, very little explanation and they failed to mention that on the night of our arrival (and every Wednesday and Saturday) the place becomes a local attraction with a DJ playing loud music till 1. The beach is cute but the water too shallow to swim.

stunning hotel , we were upgraded to a beautiful self contained apartment , with private jacuzzi , very peaceful , amazing gardens by the seaside
everything was great , you just need a car as it is a secluded location

This hotel was wonderful and a great surprise as we booked it at the last minute. The property is GORGEOUS, the staff were super helpful and accommodating, and we loved our stay. If we were traveling during warmer weather, we would have really enjoyed the pool. We did use one of the two jacuzzis and it was fantastic. We will definitely be back!
Breakfast was wonderful!! We would have loved to have dined in their restaurant for dinner too but it was the end of their season and they did not have a chef available. No complaints from us at all.

Staff friendly and customer oriented. Location and facilities are great!
Highly recommend it!

The location and atmosphere were amazing. The pool had a gorgeous view. The restaurant in the hotel is also definitely worth going to.
Rooms decoration and appliances could be modernised, especially the bathroom where you only had a bathtub with a shower head that wasn’t the most practical.

Very noisy Friday night to 1.30 am due to a party.
4.1
Nicely located directly at the sea with breakfast at the water’s edge. Stunning restaurant (which we did not use)
The rooms were small, dark and hidden away at the back of the property. They need to be upgraded in order to merit the room rates and they would hugely benefit from having an open view at the very nice gardens
4.1
The pool breakfast, and drinks areas were gorgeous.
The rooms don’t have windows, 0 light coming in. Get like I was in a dungeon or a cave. Even though we upgraded to a suite it still felt claustrophobic. I would never stay there again. Also very expensive for what you get. I still don’t understand why they don’t have windows in rooms it is so bad that there is 0 light.
