The house is in Pacentro (AQ), in the Majella National Park. It is ideal for people who love nature, tranquility and hiking, but also the true Italian village life. The baker, butcher, supermarket, the best restaurant of Abruzzo, plenty of other restaurants and bars that are within walking distance.
The house features a living room with sofa bed for 2 people, a kitchen, two bedrooms with a spacious double bed and two bathrooms. In addition, a good travel cot and a highchair available.
It lies on the edge of the Borgho, looks at a valley where only hear the river and the birds and is easily accessible by car.
There is a large garden (1000 m) to the south with a grotto where children can play.
The view is beautiful. This way you see the snow-covered ridge of the Majella to the east.
Pacentro has had a zipline since June 2019.

The views from this property are absolutely spectacular! The home was as advertised. The Internet was very fast and accommodated streaming devices for the four of us without any delays. There were steep steps and would not be advisable for handicapped or very young individuals. But, we knew before we went by just looking at the photos that the steps were steep. There were sturdy handrails, so all was well. I booked this in January 2023. Carina was very responsive to every question along the way and is a great host! We would not think twice about renting this property again in the future! Thank you Carina & Simon!

The house of Carina and Simon is a real gem. Fully equipped with everything you need, you feel at home the moment you arrive. On top Carina provides you with detailed information on the house and the wonderful and lively village of Pacentro. The main square is just a stone's throw away, where you can enjoy an aperitivo in the evening and watch the hustle and bustle of the village. It was our second stay at Carina's house and each time we leave with the feeling that we want to come back again.

Pacentro it’s people and the surrounding are certainly worth a journey Hygienic circumstances at our apartment were so so We were literally eaten up by thousands of an insect called papataci, tiny night-active Moskitos

This home is located in one of the most beautiful places I have visited in Italy. Pacentro is friendly and delightful and the mountains and valleys spectacular. Sitting in the garden for breakfast and dinner was unforgettable with the ever changing light and mist on Mount Majella as a backdrop. Parking is surprisingly easy and safe provided you take the correct small back road up to the house. We spent much of our week there in both Majella and Abruzzo National Parks and visiting the rare Romanesque churches with their 12th and 13th century paintings. If you are interested in such things then I suggest San Tommaso Becket (near Caramanico Terme) with its sculptured lintel and frescoes, San Pietro ad Oratorium - in a forest not far from Capestrano (may need to ring the number on the gate for the friendly volunteer to open) with very special Byzantine inspired pantocrator Christ frescoe, Santa Maria ad Cryptas (in Fossia) with intact 13th cent frescoes cycle) and Bominaco church and Oratorio, with 13th century fresco cycle (ring number on gate for a guide). If these don't interest you then the many spectacular hill top towns may. All up a week wasn't enough in this great part of Italy as there is so much to do and see.

The house is wonderful as well as the garden and the location. In the apartment you have everything you need...even more. The owner was very precise and detailed in providing every useful information for the house but also about Pacentro (bar, restaurants, etc). The only sad moment was to leave that place

Super nice experience! Pacentro is a very nice town full of real life (not so many tourist!). The house in a great location to walk to the two main squares and it has a superb view of the valley. The pics in the add looks very nice and we had high expectations but the house is even better than we expected. The communication with the host was smooth.

Wunderbar gelegen, völlig still und trotzdem nur 5 Minuten in den hübschen Ort mit Restaurants, Alimentari und Leben, freundliche Nachbarn, die man in der Straße trifft. Lebendiges italienisches Dorf dennoch ohne Tourismus! Tolles gemütliches Haus mit viel Service, sogar wöchentlicher Reinigung und frischer Wäsche. Perfekte Ausstattung und sehr hilfsbereite Betreuung auf Bedarf. Die perfekte Urlaubslocation in wunderschöner Region, perfektes Haus zum Wohlfühlen, alleine sein und dennoch praktisch. Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Urlaub!

Tutto perfetto, la posizione è fantastica, la casa è come da descrizione ,noi purtroppo siamo incappati nella settimana più calda del mese di Agosto e qualche ventilatore in casa sarebbe stato utile. Per il resto tutto ok ci ritorneremo.

We had a lovely stay in Carina's house in Pacentro. The house is great and right in the heart of an old Italian village, with lovely little shops, caffè and a central square with cute restaurants and bars. The house is as beautiful as the picture show, beautiful view, garden and great starting point for hikes. We had a great time enjoying candle-lit dinners and sun-lit breakfasts in the garden too. Would definitely recommend!

Casa molto bella con un panorama invidiabile,curata nei minimi particolari, accogliente ,pulita,ben rifinita nel suo interno e nel suo bel giardino...proprietaria gentilissima ed efficiente nello spiegare tutto anche se x email e WhatsApp giustificato dalla sua non presenza in luogo..pacentro merita di essere visitata e la posizione della casa è l ideale anche per altri posti fantastici della zona.

What a wonderful holiday

My husband, our dog and me rented this house for our Italian holidays and we really enjoyed it. Carina always replied very fast to any question and gave complete instructions for the arrival and for the house. Pacentro is a lovely village, one of my favourite of the area with few shops (minimarket, butcher, bakery) but enough to live. There's also a good restaurant called 'de li caldora' preparing local food. The house is very nice and well equipped and the garden is perfect to relax and have lunch/dinner outside. Be careful of mosquitos, you don't see them, you don't hear them but they byte a lot! I suggest to buy a specific repellent for mosquitos (pappataci in Italian).

Het huis in Pacentro ligt fantastisch, heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, voldoende ruimte binnen en buiten. De bedden zijn goed. Wifi ook. Communicatie verloopt prima. Wel (in juli) deet of iets anders tegen de muggen meenemen. Er zijn er veel die je met het blote oog amper ziet. Het uitzicht vanuit het huis is zoals je dat op de foto's ziet. Erg mooi! De omgeving is erg geschikt voor wandelen en andere uitstapjes. Het dorp zelf is pittoresk, heeft een paar restaurantjes, is nog steeds erg rustig. Bewoners zijn aardig en open. Kortom: erg aan te bevelen!

Het huisje is basic ingericht maar je komt niets tekort. Hetzelfde geldt voor de terrasjes waar we genoten hebben van de najaarszon. Het vergt soms wel wat verhuiswerk met de parasol om schaduw te hebben. Sportieve vakantie, zowel binnen als buitenshuis véél trappen. Pacentro is een heel mooi en gezellig dorp met smalle straatjes lekkere restaurants en wat cafés. Abruzzo is een prachtige streek waar je oneindige landschappen kan spotten en fijne wandelingen kan maken.
