Breakfast and the quietness

We had almost two hours in our room without electricity but the generator was running and other rooms were having electricity and they didn't attend to it until we called the reception.

The property as a whole and their stuff members are amazing, except the bed.

The view from the balcony was amazing. The size of the bathtub was also impeccable.

The bed was horribly uncomfortable. By just sitting on the edge of it you get a load funny sound.

Struggled to gain access as the intercom was not working. Chef also a reception something the establishment needs to consider getting someone to welcome guest. . Breakfast was not up to standard . Limited options on both breakfast and dinner .

A beautifully located guesthouse that's cozy and tranquil. All surrounding amenities are a stone's throw away from the guesthouse. The rooms are clean, mini bar stocked with variety, parking is safe, hospitality staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Leading up to the holiday, during the planning, Sharon was brilliant at communicating and providing all necessary details to help us plan and prepare for our arrival. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with warmth and a special package to ensure we had the best stay! I'd highly recommend Château la Mer Exclusive Guesthouse - it certainly has an exclusivity about it and yet is so very affordable.

We couldn't go out for dinner date because the restaurant around the place closed early. So that it is a disadvantage if u want to go out for dinner date.

Loadshedding and the generator was not working. So no facilities, no tea, no air con, no TV. Breakfast staff very slow, there were 3 waiters serving one table at a time. The shower is positioned in a weird place and caused water to seep out at the bottom.

The restaurant and breakfast was good and staff were very helpful at the restaurant.

The generator did not work even though we were told that it did. Had to listen to the generator being powered right outside the room but had no electricity all night. The carpets and sleeper couch were dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. Dirty towels were folded and left to be used the next day. Hand wash not filled despite asking. No emergency light. No 2 pin plugs to charge devices. The fridge was very loud

Willem and Mariaan are exceptional hosts that went out of their way to make our stay memorable, relaxing and comfortable. The penthouse was clean, had stunning views and included all the amenities for our stay.

Unfortunately the staff were a bit noisy, but Willem did attend to that asap.
