The location was just 15 mins from the airport and easy to get to Rhodes Town and other places of interest on the island. The breakfast catered for everyone - a different egg dish every day, fruit, yoghurt, toast, pastries, meats and cheese. Vangelis, who runs the hotel, was very friendly and helpful and tailored the breakfast to what we wanted after the first day. Our rooms were very spacious with enough wardrobe and drawer space for our 11 days there. There were plug sockets by the bed and next to the mirror for drying hair. The air con worked well and was pretty quiet when on low during the night as the nighttime temperatures were high during the first half of our stay. It's not luxury but it is comfortable and we had everything we needed and it was excellent value for money.
Nothing really. The only very small thing that could be improved is to get rid of some of the old, scratchy towels.

The pool was ok, but it was available only until 19:00.
Hotel is old and could use a good restoration. Breakfast could be way better, if they would keep the butter in the freezer, not serve it liquid. The bakery products where not fresh at all. In the description they say Pool and garden view, and I got a street view, and after arguing with the owner, he told me that is nothing he can do, there are 22 rooms, and not all can be with the pool view. But what about the description of the superior room? Where it says that you get a pool and garden view.

Breakfast was really good. Room was bigger than the average. Very clean and with a nice view.
All the staff was really kind, friendly and disposable: a special note for Evangelos , very nice person and a big helping hand with our car and our stay at the hotel!!
I wouldn't change anything, it's perfect this way

The owner and his family were absolutely wonderful and very accommodating. We had a very late flight and they made checkin so easy and we were so comfortable after a long journey!

The staff were great and we really enjoyed the breakfast. They also recommended a tasty restaurant for dinner. We had a nice meal out on our balcony. It was a fairly quiet area, and hotel was also very quiet.
Room was a bit dingy - some stains on walls and drapes. It also very much has the feeling of being a senior's residence.

Nice breakfast and very friendly staff. The cleaning took place everyday. Totally a value for money option. The owner of the hotel Mr. Vangelis was there to meet any requests.

Vangelis was an excellent host and extremely friendly! He offered us water and information on our arrival, kindly showed us to our room, and us provided and excellent spread for breakfast! His warm conversation and friendly manners made us feel at home. We only stayed one night on a layover, but we want to come back and stay for longer!

A secluded and quiet place, ideal for relaxation. Very attentive and friendly staff, family affair (special thanks to Vangelis). Nice pool. Silent air conditioning capable of creating a pleasant coolness. Very positive environment.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us; an easy drive to the beach and Rhodes Town, but in a quiet, untrafficked part of Ialyssos, at the foot of the Filerimos Hill and Monastery. The room was very spacious and clean, the grounds were neat and orderly, and the breakfast was outstanding. This is a family owned and run operation, so it abounds with personal touches. Vangelis (the owner) and his staff could not have been friendlier and more welcoming. There was also a very good restaurant (named "Filerimos") a 6-min walk away, and groceries a 10-min walk.
If you want a beachside hotel (we weren't) this is not it, as the beach is a 30-min walk, one way.

We have just spent a night here before catching a flight back home, but we’ll undoubtedly be back the next time we are in Rhodes. This is a beautiful family-run 22-room hotel. Our room was huge and extremely clean. The hotel is a short drive (ten minutes or so) into Rhodes and is in a lovely landscaped property with a big swimming pool. After Rhodes Town it is a haven of peace. The owner, Evangelis, is a lovely man who speaks excellent English. He was very helpful to me, as I am visually impaired. If you are lucky enough to stay here, make sure you allow lots of time foe breakfast which is far too copious - eggs, bacon, sausages, cheese, cold meats, yoghurt, all sorts of delicious baked goods, juice, coffee, tea, etc. All this served outside on the large patio with the tree-covered mountain in the background.
If things work out, we’ll be back next year with our family for a longer holiday.

Extremely helpful staff. Great breakfast. Nice clean rooms. Everything well maintained including the pool. Location is not touristic, rather like staying with the locals and it's quiet. There are shops and restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay at Santa Helena again.
