great location, cute home.
the parking is a little awkward

Needs broadband, as most self employed people like me, need to check our emails (which I did using my mobile phone) but I would not have liked to do any urgent detailed work on a smart phone.

gorgeous outside, very horrible for parking and old run interior

Clean and warm cottage, comfy beds.
The kitchen facilities were a little lacking and dated -no dishwasher or coffee machine. Bedroom blinds/curtains could be improved. We managed to be able to park on-site but most vehicles will not be able to and there is no other close parking.

The location of the cottage was well located between Leura and Katoomba. It had good 'bones'.
Having not heard from the agent on to morning of our arrival we had to message again to get the entry code. Check-in was not until 3:00pm (why it should be at the latest 2:00pm). The property is halfway down a hill on a busy road which makes negotiating parking very difficult and the parking at the front is narrow and only suited to small cars. The TV - which is so small it is the size of a small computer screen isn't working as the picture pixelates and despite trying to re-program still wouldn't work. Contacting the managing agent on the day of our arrival about these issues just met with a 'we'll let the owner know.....' which meant no action and made us think that this was a known problem. There was no wifi, which would have both resolved the TV reception and been a basic expectation. We had our own data-service so had to watch TV on our devices. The furniture was old, lounge dirty and needed cleaning and the bed in the second bedroom was a cheap metal frame bed which was both uncomfortable and squeaked, not to mention the awful yellow stain on the bedspread which looked suspiciously like pee!! This when the tariff was close to $900 for two nights - the same as a Meriton Apartment in the City Centre, with wifi, TV, good beds, good furnishings and a coffee machine (no! don't expect that luxury at Keira). I also suggest avoiding using the washing machine, located in the open on the back balcony and open to all the elements and a safety risk.
Perhaps the most annoying aspect of this whole 'romantic' weekend away, was the glossy video the rental agent has produced which sells this property as a luxuriant stay. I don't even believe that the property meets the published three-star rating. Yet with a modest investment to address the above issues the owners and agent could turn this property around.

The bed was comfortable
The photos and description were deceiving. "Nearby" parking was over 100 metres away up a steep hill on the street, and unable to even park at the front of the property safely to unload luggage. The washing machine was on the verandah and no dryer. The clothes line was unusable as there was a tree growing through it, and the yard was not maintained, not even mowed.
The inside smelled damp and musty.
The TV was tiny and barely able to see the picture from where it was secured too far away from the lounge.
The property manager was not helpful and did not care about any of our issues and would not refund any of our money.

The heating was lovely. The cottage is light and cosy.
The bed in second bedroom was average. The possum in the ceiling was annoying.

It was very clean and tidy.
The TV was extremely small and only free to air Channels and no channel 10 so no football.

Very cute little cottage in a good location. Beds were very comfy and clean.
Communication was excellent and we had no trouble parking our smallish car inside the gate.
We cooked in the oven but found the oven mitt was filthy and hadn’t been cleaned for awhile which was a bit off-putting. Aside from that, the house was very clean.
