The location was great. Quiet, safe and some bars and cafés all a short walk away. The staff was just great. I mean really great from before I even reached the country.
Can’t think of anything I disliked

Very comfortable, quiet, modern boutique hotel right near the Dragon Bay foreshore. Strong industrial design aesthetic, executed very well. Rooftop bar space is a great place to sit in the evening.
We found the breakfast menu a little limited, but not a deal breaker. Also Dragon Bay can be a bit of a ghost town, but shops and places to eat are within walking distance.

The staff and the bed.
Hot water system in the shower.

Amazing staff, answered all of our questions without a fuss and spoke great English. Lovely to have a pizza restaurant on our doorstep too. Rooms were lovely and very clean. Perfect two night stop during our tour of Vietnam.

Breakfast is fine for hotel, have some choice of vietnam cuisine or vegetarian. Nice receptionist, clean room and quite.
Room has low ceiling, it makes sometimes I feel airless.
House located Hon Gai, so if you want to go to Bai Chay you need to use bike, car, taxi…

This was a very good experience. The staff was very welcoming and handled our every request. The breakfeast is also very good in both western and vietnamese style. The room was large, and the small balcony outside gives the room a luxurious almost french feel.

The location and the size of the room, the bed is big and comfortable. However the restaurant dont have varieties in food.

I booked a double room with bunk bed, which was very nice and good value for money.
The building is beautiful and the staff is very welcoming

The pizza was the best pizza I've had in Asia. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We literally organised everything from the hotel (our food and cruise in Ha Long Bay). The room was lovely. Great WiFi and we had a bath which was great too.
Nothing. We loved everything.

The room was good to our expectation. The staff were very polite and helpful. The reception team helped me to get the currency exchange done. Full marks for their hospitality.
Only challenge is the location of the hotel. This is 6 KM away from the beach and city Centre. If you are booking for any tour, the tour operator refrain from picking up from this location. We had to travel to the common point.

we stayed to just do a boat tour so Deja Vu was perfect for us.
However, the hotel is further away from restaurants and bars, so just keep that in mind.

The hotel itself was really nice, clean, and the staff were so nice and helpful. I really appreciated all of the help the staff gave me throughout my stay including helping me get transfers to Cat Ba and back to the airport, and just generally being really welcoming. my room was lovely and it was just generally a really nice place to stay. the coconut coffees were amazing.
the location is not great - it’s definitely much nicer and quieter than other places in Ha Long but there just isn’t anything to do nearby or any good places to eat. everywhere was closed or just empty!
But to be honest I would never come back and stay in mainland Ha Long - it’s definitely more of a Vietnamese holiday destination and as a white solo female traveler I was subject to some uncomfortable experiences there including being grabbed and followed.
I ended up going to Cat Ba for the majority of my stay in the end which the hotel staff helped me with getting there and back, where I was much more comfortable.
The hotel could do with a couple of vegan/veggie options on the menu - and embracing Vietnamese food as they were offering alot of western food (pizza/ pasta).

The staff were super helpful, and so accommodating! They gave us so many recommendations during our stay and even offered to help with our itinerary. The room was incredible. We had a beautiful balcony that had a brilliant view of Halong Bay. The cruises in Halong Bay were definitely the highlight of our trip, exploring the caves and islands in the area, along with the included meals removed a lot of the stress of finding somewhere with both a good atmosphere and good food.
While the location was beautiful, in terms of nightlife, my partner and I found it to be a bit of a ghost town. It seems there's not a ton going on when it comes to being on land and the cruises are where it's at! We did a day cruise and it certainly appeared that that's where everyone was. When we were on land we didn't find many restaurants we liked the look of as everywhere we went to had close to no atmosphere. We ended up eating pot noodles at night for dinner in our hotel room rather than spending money in an empty restaurant.
Also the room has that feature that when you're not in it, the whole room has no power. Just a small thing but I found it annoying I couldn't charge devices while we were out and about.

They staff were great - they really look after you. They usually don’t cater for lunch however made an exception for us by making delicious sandwiches. The hotel itself is modern and stylish with an industrial theme associated with the mining history of the area.
They need to have those delicious sandwiches on the lunch menu.

Set in a beautiful neighbourhood, and a gorgeous cafe underneath. Rooms were clean and modern.
No towel hangers to put used towels

Excellent breakfast, beautiful green common space and lounge, had a lovely energy. One of the only hotels I've stayed at where I actively hung out in the cafe/lounge area. Place was very clean, rooms were big and had a balcony, and we even had a sofa in our room (we stayed in a double room with a bunk bed)
Surrounding area is very pretty and quiet but it is very far from anything substantial- had to bike or take grabs to get to restauarant areas, or any kind of attraction. Grabs also were nonexistant in the area. If you have your own mode of transportation or don't mind biking, this is a lovely quiet place next to the bay, but if not I would suggest staying on the other side of the bay.

The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. The House and the rooms are just lovely, very clean and spacious and the interior is very beautiful and cozy, we felt very comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic. You can explore the nearby areas by bycicle or scooter as it’s in a very calm location and Halong Bay is just beautiful. We would highly recommend it!
