value for money and staff was really friendly. Location is also amazing! and the views are excellent!

Breakfast was good a little disorganised at times but staff v friendly and got us what we needed . Location was great v convenient
The noise was v bad due to late bar Campari right outside. Didn’t seem to be air on in the room and couldn’t leave window open due to the music and noise in the bar next door . The bar in the hotel was closed on the Sunday which was really annoying for a 4 star and at the prices we were paying. We stayed for 3 nights and it is not an inexpensive hotel but we got no replacement water or coffee in our room after the first day.

Everything was fantastic.
I would have loved to give 10/10. But unfortunately the wifi in the room did not work. Only wifi in the reception area. When I book a hotel I expect two things, a comfortable bed and wifi in the room. Unfortunately you could only supply one of the most important things.

very clean and comfortable
no restaurant available Sunday evening. Even around the hotel it was difficult to find a place for a dinner. I finally crashed in a Kebab…

The hotel has a terrific location on the town's main square. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking, which is tough to find so close to the centre, is provided behind the hotel, though must be reserved in advance.
The room was very cold, and the heater simply didn't work properly. It was very loud and failed to heat the room at night, which had me waking up freezing cold. The TV did not work. The telephone did not work. The Wifi barely worked, and only when I say on the floor next to the door... otherwise there was no signal, and this was in a premium room category. When I mentioned these to the staff they acknowleged that, yes, they had been having problems with a number of appliances, and were sorry for the inconvenience, but no effort was made to fix these problems, nor move me to another room that might have been better equipped.

it’s a beautiful hotel - unique and understatedly elegant but comfortable too. The location was perfect - walkable to places in the city and to the hiking trail as well. And the staff were all so friendly and helpful.

The room and hotel was gorgeous, located in the main square. Some of the friendliest staff you will meet, always there to make you feel at home. I’d also recommend having dinner at the restaurant.

We had a good night in Sondrio. Hotel was clean and quiet and right in the centre of town. Bedrooms were spacious and breakfast was good quality.

Everything was perfect, the staff was really nice and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and bathrooms were adequate. Breakfast is standard in the terms that nothing is special but still really tasty!
The wifi connection was not the best (my room was at the end of the hallway) but that's fine.

We love the Grand Hotel Della Posta. It is owned by the organization that owns the local art and history museum and is decorated with lovely artwork that is part of the museum's collection. Our room was very large and elegant with tall ceilings, high quality furniture and a view out over the Piazza Garibaldi Guiseppe. We arrived on bicycles and were able to park them overnight in a secure courtyard behind the hotel. We enjoyed an al fresco dinner in the garden with excellent wine from the Valtellina region.
The directions for the shower tub were somewhat ambiguous. I managed to spray water all over the bathroom, but ultimately figured out that the dial needed to be turned to left to fill the tub. If you turn the dial to the right the hand held sprayer and overheld shower kick in,

Location and room size
Breakfast included in the rate but for an egg you need to pay extra. The room was really cold when arrived and took a while to warm up. Noisy bathrooms flush.

Breakfast featured fresh scrambled eggs and otherwise a good Italian selection. The vibes of quality have aged well in this 19th century hotel. Rooms facing the main square have a beautiful view on the mountains, too. The fine-dining restaurant in the hotel is excellent. Internet worked well in our room. The size of the room was amazing. There was a fantastic book with prints from the area from 200 years ago that is absolutely worth enjoying.
You need to go back to the reception to have the parking gate opened for leaving. Room 208: The TV just showed "no signal available" when we tried to watch RAI to follow the Olympics. The flushing of our toilet works perfect, but makes strange sounds during refilling the water. The temperature control needs a cover again. And I always prefer real hairdryers over those wall-mounted hair dryers without sufficient power.

Everything was above expectations. the hotel is located in the very centre of the city, but nonetheless offers a private and enclosed parking lot. The structure itself is charming, well designed, roomy and with an attention to details.
Having arrived on saturday, we also had the chance to have a seat at the hotel restaurant and enjoy a well tought (served and cooked, as well) brunch. The very next day, we were pleased to find out that the breakfast was no difference.
W.r.t. the room. our (a delux superior) was just astounding, nothing else to say - i have stayed at some five stars hotel with rooms far wors than this one, both in terms of size and comfotness.
Lastly, the staff: bravo to everyone! we loved our stay, and every single person at the establishment was welcoming, kind and attentive, both at the hotel and the restaurant.
as a film one - kind of - sayed: we will be back
9/10 and not 10/10 for a - minor, but still present - défaillance: we were only informed at our arrival that the spa and the wellness area was not available, since the facility was undergoing some renovation works. Understandable, but still, an email to inform us in advance would have been appreciated, as we were planning to use the amenities. Knowing that the structure was not available only at our arrivale pushed us to replan the afternoon.

Staff members were always helpful! Our meals in the hotel restaurant were excellent and the som had extensive knowledge of the Valtellina wines. He gave us good recommendations to try with dinner and for our tour of the area.
As members of the older generation, we found the lighting in our room to be too dim. We would also have liked to have an easy chair in the room in addition to the one loveseat. WiFi was not very strong in the guest rooms, possibly due to the very thick walls of the hotel.

Really excellent staff who were very helpful in difficult circumstances.
It was unfortunate that due to Covid the restaurant was closed. The staff were very helpful and brought in a takeaway supper
