Great staff and location
The bed was uncomfortable and hard

The location is very central. Our purpose was to go shopping and this location was a good middle ground to either walk or take a taxi to commute.
The rooms are spacious and clean, internet in the rooms were spotty. Trying to stream a movie or tv show was difficult as the connection was in and out. The bed was super stiff and it made us miss our mattress at home.

Some rooms are too small

Large room and bathroom. My companion complained of bed bugs but I didn't have any problems. Breakfast delicious and plenty of choice of items. Hotel centrally located and walkable to downtown Guadalajara.
Bed sheets are little old.

The rooms were basic but did the job. We booked 3 rooms. Only 1 room (room 40) had a moldy smell. Only stayed for 1 night so toughed it out and did not report it to management. Other than that, it was in a great location near lots of good restaurants. And walking distance to many tourist spots. Great little corner bar right across the street as well!
My room (40) smelled like mold. Possibly water behind the closet cabinet. Or behind the walls of the bathroom. Was very potent smell.

The location was good
The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff was great
The beds were horrible
It's hard as a rock, not firm, but so hard made it difficult to sleep
The bathroom was so small hard to get into it

Gorgeous property which was comfortable, clean and had character. The location was fantastic and the staff were very kind and helpful.

Location was very central - just a few moments from the historic downtown.
It would have been nice if there was a policy of enforcing 'quiet hours' late at night and early in the morning. We were constantly amazed at the number of guests who were yelling and screaming in the corridors well after midnight and early in the morning with no respect for other guests.

The staff was professional and friendly...I'd highly recommend it to my friends and family. Great location to all the stores and sights ..safe and friendly area. Great food and shopping. I'll definitely come again to hotel San Francisco plaza

Quaint old world decor. Nice buffet breakfast.
We stayed two nights. Room was not cleaned, bed made or towels replaced on second day.

The hotel is in Guadalajara Central. Most downtown sites are in walking distance if you are a walker.
The staff were quick to respond to requests, friendly and helpful. The star⭐in our book is the evening front desk clerk Juan!!! He speaks English, knows the town and will look up information to assist you.
Juan made a call to Office Depot for me to ask them to secure my special water bottle I had left behind. Sure enough, the next day, retrieving the bottle was simple.
Really, what can I say, yes the place is "dated" but so am I. That's what adds to the hotel's and my charm.

We were given an amazing room on the main floor although there is an elevator. Beautiful colonial architecture. The breakfast was very good 2 of 3 mornings.
Great shower.
Initially the square out front was a little off putting as there was a lot of litter and street
people but I was never approached by anyone for a handout and ended up sitting in the square myself people watching and enjoying the sun. I can't say the same would happen in Canada. Good little 711 on the corner.

This was not a good experience at all. First off, the receptionist - Abraham - was the worst receptionist I have ever met. When we arrived, we didn’t get any greeting or welcome. He just tossed me a sheet of paper to fill in. No eye contact, no smile. Then came the room. This was the third (and probably the least bad of the three) that we requested after seeing the first two. Avoid room 210 at all cost. It shook at the passage of every truck or bus on the street nearby - day and night. We were woken up at 5am every morning when the bus service started. And then there was the stench of sewer that came from the bathroom drain. It was constant and wafted into the bedroom at night, even when we kept the bathroom door closed. We had to ask the cleaner to pour chlorine down the drain several times to keep the foulness at bay. It was not sanitary at all. We didn’t bother asking Abraham for another room, lest he gave us an even worse one, if that were even possible. The only saving grace were the cleaning staff, who were very kind. That being said, avoid this hotel at all cost. I’ll be asking for a refund.

The room was simple but tasteful and modern. Beds were nice, bathroom was clean
I was in a courtyard room and found it a bit noisy at night. Across the street music from a bar echos into the courtyard. The hotel could have closed the large doors into the property to block the music.

The building is beautiful inside but the pictures from Booking.com look better than reality. The room was clean and the room had a nice hot shower. The restaurant inside the hotel was very convenient. The buffet was ok.
There is a loud bar in front of the hotel and lot of homeless people outside the hotel. The surroundings made my family a bit uncomfortable.

To much noise at night
