Spät einchecken war kein Problem. Schlüssel wird im Safe draußen hinterlegt. Hat bestens geklappt.

Rather 3 star

Big room with a nice balcony, a good bed and a nice bathroom. Hotel is situated in a lovely Gründerzeit-building not far from the city centre. Tram stop to centre is right in front of the hotel.

Hotel advertises as 4 star, but I would give it 3. There are no tea- and coffee facilities in the room which is standard in 4 star hotels. Breakfast is okay, but I wouldn't say 4 star. You can experience traffic noise in the morning.

A comfortable, beautiful place

All of the staff were so friendly! they gave us tips and suggestions on what to see. We felt like we were in an old timey European movie the whole time we were there. wonderful breakfast too!

the interesting and antique decor the location was close but not in the town centre so was peaceful our rooms balcony was very welcome and the well appointed rooms were more interesting than your basic everything is the same hotel plus the outside is a very nice architectural example

nothing about the property however we arrived in the evening and were greeted with locked doors and not a great explanation on the phone of where to go to find entrance and the man that greeted us after that was relaxing in n restaurant and obviously a bit drunk when he finally opened door..for me this was ok cool and quirky I mention it because I’m sure other folks may find it off putting..it in no way reduced our enjoyment of our stay and I can’t blame a guy for having a couple of beers..😉

The staff was friendly and efficient; the room clean and quiet; the restaurant was very good and moderately priced.

No air-conditioning on very warm (for Germany) day. Fortunately, the night cooled sufficiently to allow for sleep.

A nice, cozy hotel, not far from the railway station, at a decent price

Quite a cozy hotel for a decent price. The breakfast was good and differentiated, like in many German hotels. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The parking is spatious and comfortable. The hotel is quite close to the railway station (not more than 10 minutes on foot).

1) The windows are old, there is no airconditioning (at least I didn't find one) 2) Location: the downtown area (and the Polish town of Zgorzelec) is a little further away, you might need a tram or a car, or some more time to go there.

Hotel was adequate. Somewhat dated. They need more tourists in order to make a few updates.

Owner/manager was great! Very personable. Gave us a ride to train station on Sunday when no taxis were available. Breakfast was very nice; lots of selection. Huge corner room; so different than most European hotels. We loved being able to open windows and get a cross breeze. Beautiful outside patio to enjoy drinks or dinner.

Pillows were bad. They need to replace with more firm pillows. No ice in the bar. Flooring could be updated, but not bad. Be prepared for 20-25 minute walk to Old Town.

Step back into the distant past

Close to the Old Town, comfortable bed and clean and functional bathroom.

Refurbishment and more up-to-date, tasteful decor would make this hotel special. Rooms are slightly overpriced in their current state.

Great stay in a house with history

The hotel is a nicely renovated property from end 19th century, keeping the atmosphere of an older building with spacious rooms while providing modern amenities. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant offers a fairly complete breakfast buffet in the morning.

The center of town is just a little to far for an evening stroll.

Everything was OK.

Everything was OK, staff very nice and helpfull. I was happy to have a CCTV surveillanced parking lot for my car in the garden of the hotel. Breakfast was also great.
