Big pool , acres to a beach.
Nothing to not like.

Good hotel
The Breakfast was absolute terrible, was not flow to serve, many sessions far from each other, we could not see clear what was on offer, extremely bad arrange. All should be in a U zone so clients can see what is available. No separated mix as it is either you put everything inside in a U zone, or all outside with is more pleasant. Breakfast is a logistic presentation. Is one of the worst we seen.

Hotel was somewhat sprawling which meant there was some small new discovery each day. The sea and surrounding countryside views are superb. Our room, on the first floor of the main block, was simple but not dated as some have found and the air conditioning was effective and very quiet. The ensuite bathroom had clearly been recently upgraded and all facilities worked well. The main building, restaurants and bar were minimalist and chic. Breakfast was comprehensive and consistently good as was lunch at the pool bar and dinner on the few occasions we ate there; prices were reasonable. The pool was a good size and always clean. Staff were friendly and efficient and, though our room was serviced every day, we were never disturbed by the chambermaids.
We found car hire essential as the hotel, though scenically located, it is not walking distance from the centre of Porto Cervo or any restaurants apart from the Hivaoa which was very good but not for every evening and Sardinian taxis are expensive - 25Euros to Porto Cervo, 40Euros to Baja Sardinia in June/July. Although not a big problem, our dressing table drawer did smell of damp so we didn't use it and the dressing table chair legs really do need to have felt added to their feet. Many days we were woken up by the early rising occupants of the room above scraping their chair across the floor. Other than that there were no problems with soundproofing.

Overall the staff were very nice, especially the pool bar staff and the cleaning staff. The hotel had a beautiful pool area with incredible views over the beach and was less than 5 minutes drive to Porto Cervo
No coffee/ kettle in the room and if you are checking out before breakfast, no coffee anywhere in the hotel! The receptionist was eventually kind enough to make me a cup of coffee before I headed to the airport at 5 am, but a four star hotel should not have a guest begging for coffee before driving in the dark to the airport. Also, the rooms are quite humid, yes it was raining and stormy, but the insulation in the rooms was very poor. The pool bar only services salads for lunch and the closest restaurant is 1km away and the closest supermarket 6 kms - so it was challenging with a child.

Lovely quaint style, comfortable beds, fantastic swimming pool. Nice beach. Staff helpful
Furniture needs updating in the rooms, rooms need modernising. Restaurant food in the evening bad and really not worth the price. Location is a little outside so really need a car.

This is by far the the worst hotel I have every stayed in down to the staff, the service and quality. You had to beg staff to give you water after 9pm, no duvets to sleep in, slept in a towel for two nights until someone found me a beat up cover so I don’t freeze to death at night. The bathroom was vile - absolutely dirty. The amount of money spent on this hotel does not reflect its standard. I wanted to check out the moment I arrived but they would not even refund me half my stay forcing us to stay in this squalor. I told them to charge me for the first and second night but not for the entire 8 days as I wanted to leave. They requested full payment at check in. It was just one big scam and I hope ITI MARINA hotel and group’s train staff to be more accommodating and not just hustle people out their money as that is their only objective. Worst experience and stay of my life. Ruined our holiday

pool is good and the walk to the beach and beach bar - although very busy at the beach so stayed by the pool
It is massively over priced ! The rooms are VERY basic , you pay for a bottle of water in your room , you pay to use an iron ! there isn’t one in the room , at over £250.00 a night you’d expect to have an iron or at least not to pay €5 per item ! The staff were not accommodating and although hard working very lack lustre in their approach . take it or leave it attitude . The air con didn’t work and the hidden costs are crazy , we were never told that the small bottle of water in your fridge was chargeable I assumed for £250.00 you might have a bottle of water - no we ended up being charged £60.00 for drinking the water . overall not good value for money

Hotel has a nice location only 2 minutes away from the beach by walking. I really liked the beach. It is big enough and and it is not stones in the water but sand. Nice breakfast and very close to town center.
everything was good. expect, when I do checkout I had to wait a some time although checkout should be super fast. therefore, I recommend stuff to take this part also very seriously.

The best things here were the size of the pool & kids pool + access to the beach.
Also some of the staff were super nice and professional (Ariana for example). Porto Cervo is not that far away, but you basically need a car. Breakfast was OK and service at the pool bar good.
I did not like ants in the room (surprise!). Also did not like at all the way the lady at the reception just ignored this question.
Also, when I called reception for another question their first sentence was "whats your problem", not in a friendly way.
At the reception they said you cannot reserve a table at the beach bar but at the beach they say you need to book a table...
The room had a smell from aircon. Basically the property is getting bit old. We decided to move to another hotel for the rest of stay. For me its a good 3-star hotel.

The location of the hotel is excellent with views of the sea from the rooms and pool. Secondly, the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. They always went out of their way to offer a premium service above and beyond expectations. At breakfast time, the staff were friendly and greeting all guests. The pool was a great size and was perfect for relaxing. The beach was only 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Porto Cervo centre and harbour are only 1km walk away.
Two staff members that made our stay extra pleasant were Luca, the Pool bar waiter and Alberto the Lifeguard. Thanks for a great week at Grand Hotel in Porto Cervo.
At night time, there was too much sound coming through the walls of the bedroom. In the evening time, there was only a buffet for evening meals. It would have been good to have a food menu. Pool bar prices were a little expensive, especially for bottled water because the tap water is not safe to drink. Due to poor public transport options in this region of Sardinia, the only way to travel is via taxi and these are really expensive. 90-120EUR one way to/from Oblia airport and in the local area 35EUR for a 2km ride to a local restaurant. Rental car is highly recommended.

Nice pool area. Friendly pool bar staff.
Breakfast was very poor. Bad coffee, cheap bread, tinned fruit. The hotel is very dated and doesn’t look like it’s been renovated for decades. Rooms decorated and furnished as if it’s still the mid 1990s/early 2000s. Nice pool area and lovely views from balcony but rooms and bathrooms desperately need modernising. We would not stay here again.

Our first thought was that the hotel and room didn´t quite live up to the expectations for a 200€/per night room (Sea view room) However I think in this hotel you are not really paying for the room to be nice or the comfort of the bed, but the location, view and facilities around the hotel. The beach of Cala Granu is a very nice "extension" to the hotel surroundings. Breakfast was good, nothing special though. The quality of the dinner was actually better than anticipated. Most of the staff were helpful and served us well, but somehow you got the feeling the season was about to come to an end and the energy was not there anymore.
Would be nice to have a grocery store closer. The hotel is quite pricey also when it comes to any drinks or snacks; one Aperol 12€. We didn´t have a car, but I would recommend having one. Getting around with taxis is relatively expensive.

not a great service for a 5 stars hotel, rooms are a bit old

The restaurant at the beach
Service was terrible no airconditioning, little water out of shower, terrible lady at breakfast, no cleaning around swimmingpool, manager only available after 14.00. Dinner attacked by vesps, terrible parking. No help from management at all they just tell you that they cannot help it.

The pool and outside lounger area are fantastic. Great beach club and restuarant.
Wi-Fi speed and range needs improvement.
