A comfortable traditional small hotel in the hills with good food. The owner went out of his way to help me out at the end of my walking holiday.

When we arrived after a long drive, Simone met us at our car in order to show where our parking place was. He took us to our room and showed us how to operate everything. The room was thankfully air conditioned. The entire building has been recently renovated and everything is spotless and new. Simone gave us walking and driving directions to the beach and brought us a huge bottle of water for our fridge. The beach was amazing. Our host was very generous with his time, and spoke great English.
We loved it.

We booked late in the evening and didn’t arrive until after 10pm. Our host was very friendly and nothing felt like a problem. We would definitely recommend to like minded travellers for something beautiful, authentic and off the beaten track
Nothing!

We booked a room 30 minutes before arriving, found a parking spot right away (really easy to park) and we’re surprised by how big our room was! The room had a view towards the mountain and it was lovely, clean, and calm.
We had dinner at there and we can highly recommend. The food was amazing (and I think prepared by the hosts). Really good wine, great appetizers…and the price was really good. Even if you don’t sleep there it’s worth visiting for food.
Breakfast was a good croissant, bread, cheese & salami, yoghurt… so everything you would need and a juice.
We can highly recommend staying there and we would definitely go back there and this time also enjoy the pool.
Everything was perfect.

The owners are nice and friendly. The landscape in this part of Italy is often a treat, and the surroundings of the hotel are no exception. The food at the restaurant is decent, but nothing special. It is a one hour drive to La Spezia and Cinque Terre.
I do not recommend this place. We had three rooms and all of them were dark, small, hot, and noisy. There is no air conditioning and the rooms are right above the kitchen/restaurant. One of the bathrooms had mold, and another one
housed a swarm of flying ants. Showers are so tiny as to be almost useless for anyone above 1m80.
There is also a safety issue: the key to our room also worked to open the doors of the other two rooms.
The pool has a nice view, but was not very clean. The hot tub was very dirty. The WIFI signal is so weak that you have to leave your room to have any connection.
EDIT: in his reply, the owner mentions what he sees as the reason for the bad review. Yet, his logic is twisted. We were unpleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel rooms, and HENCE wanted to leave a day earlier. We asked the owner whether that was possible, and explained why we wanted to leave. Since he didn't let us cancel the last night, we decided to stay and make the best of it. It's unfair to suggest that we don't like his place because we weren't allowed to leave a day early, and that we wanted to leave early because we weren't fond of the mountains.
We are easy-going people who rarely complain (and who love the mountains!), but this place is just under par. Again, the owners seem to be nice people, and they are clearly doing their utmost best, but that just does not suffice to deal with this hotel's many issues.

The restaurant was very good. The hotel inside and out is impeccable. The family is wonderful.
One of the reasons we picked this place was that they listed bicycles to rent for free and a hot tub. Apparently bicycles are NOT an option but the little village is a wonderful walking experience. The hot tub wasn't on and was dirty.

Accommodation in an adjoining older building, but clean, comfortable sleeping, comfortable beds. Beautiful pool, unfortunately the whirlpool was out of order. Nice, helpful owner.
Unfortunately the restaurant is open from 8 pm, so we went to have dinner in another restaurant. We can highly recommend this. The owner was nice and helpful, but the other staff paid more attention to a different group than us, so we went elsewhere. It's a pity, it unnecessarily spoils the overall impression of an otherwise very nice and maybe nice accommodation.
Breakfast would be a better buffet, so we had to wait until they served us at the table. We would also welcome an egg and some vegetables for breakfast.

Close to the park and nice pizzeria. The homemade cornetti at breakfast were fantastic.
None of the rooms actually have a balcony and only half have a window view of the mountains. The balcony is the outside part of the pizzeria. The English translation of individual room facilities is inaccurate.

Extra clean, nice view to the montains, welcoming staff. Restaurant is open and is offering a selection of good traditional meals.
The style and furniture are a little old but all working well.

Beautiful location in the hills north of La Spezia. There is a large terrace for eating breakfast & dinner outside (not sure about lunch as we weren't there for this). The owner (believe 3rd generation) and chef (quite well known in Italy as he represented Tuscany on a tv cooking show) is a true host who wants to make sure his guests are all cared for. There is a also a roof top garden with hot tub and an amazing pool with a view of the mountains. Dinner was lovely as was the service by the lady of the house and her son. For our dog there was a large park across the street fenced in which was great. We went to the Cinque Terre for one day and also visited the lovely hill top town Vezzano. We would definitely return here.

Pool and picnic-area were lovely, the view fantastic!
The bed was too hard, not just a little but like a plank, very uncomfortable. And the street was very loud early in the morning. Would have preferred breakfast earlier than 8:00.
