Amazong breakfast for the money

Easy check-in, clean room, simple but good breakfast. Scenic location with sea view outside of Ebeltoft centre.
The room and access corridor need renovation. Water pressure in the shower was low.

Beautiful panorama over Ebeltoft Vig from the entryway and the breakfast room (the guestrooms sadly face the other way). Excellent location for exploring Nationalpark Mols Bjerge. Although branded as a hostel, this is in fact closer to a hotel experience, with private rooms with bathroom and tv, and linnen and towels provided (the only real hostel-like aspects are the instruction to clean your own trash and bring your used linnen and towels to a collecting point in the morning).
Although there were very few guests during my stay (I've seen only two others), there was still an extensive breakfast buffet with delicious freshly baked bread and a coffee machine.
The sofa in my room did not have armrests, so it was not very comfortable (the hostel also has a large lounge with better sofas, but I did not discover that until I was about to leave).

Fantastic location. Amazing architecture. Brutalist in style. As a guest of the hostel, you feel completely at home in an international environment, designed by one of the leading Danish design studios of the 1960s. View is spectacular in a beautiful harmony with the surrounding nature, sand and dunes at Lakolk. Renovated with respect for the original style. There is everything we need in a well-stocked kitchen. We would love to come back again.
We are missing the architect's touch with water - in the original version at the outdoor surroundings. Originally, the courtyard was made up of concrete tiles in a water table, supplemented by concrete cylinders to sit on and solitary mountain beacons. This concept has had to be abandoned during the transition to the current function as a hostel, where the pools have been planted with grass, due to children's movement. You can have a look at my uploaded photo to get a feeling of "how it was before the change". Now a white-painted low fence has been installed and it is a break from style.

There were groups of children unsupevised who ran and screamed until midnight. The next day it was better, guest must have complained.

The location was amazing, close enough to the city center but far enough for a nice walk. The room was spacious and the inner courtyard is so nice.

Great spot for families travelling. Good and clean kitchen and our rooms went right out to the play ground.
The family rooms aren't huge. We were only three people with a baby bed, which worked. But if we had the two fold-down beds down and another kid it would have been a bit of a squeeze.

Very quiet place, with nice landscapes and a lot of varied activities in the outside area. It would be a good place to go and have fun with your friends.

location at sea and nature, fresh air, oxygen ect
to long to walk, from city centre, and grey buildings, not cultured
