Good location with a great view. Friendly staff on reception and at breakfast. Reasonable selection for breakfast, tasty and hot.
Room was dusty, mattress very uncomfortable, could feel every spring so toppers would be a good idea. Doors constantly slamming, not hotels fault but could have signs asking people to be more considerate
Was surprised that dogs allowed on the 3rd floor so our next door neighbour was constantly in and out hence the door slamming. Also green fire exit light illuminates the room all night so made it difficult to sleep. Never experienced such a light in an individual room anywhere else.
Can't comment on restaurant as didn't use but looked popular. Did have cocktails one night at 9.30 but barman nearly refused espresso martinis as he was closing the coffee machine for the night! This seemed strange when the bar was open until 11.

Bed was lovely.
Staff in bar were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was good
Overall not great value for money - bathroom was very small and door didn't lock.

Great location and facilities including excellent staff. Only booked shortly before arrival but there was no problem getting the bed changed from twin beds to a double (by the very obliging receptionist, Karen)

Location fantastic. Rooms great. Breakfast and our evening meals were great. Lovely, very helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone. No parking available at hotel but just a short walk away, nothing major.
All good.

Lovely spot, very friendly and welcoming staff in all areas and whatever their role . Felt very welcome
Not the Hotel fault, but the only issue we found was that there were many older residents, who seemed to be early birds and we were woken every morning at 6 by banging of doors, loud talking in corridors and general noise ! Slightly frustrating as we were there for a relaxing break . As I said this was not anything the hotel could be responsible for but if there are usually coach parties of this sort a consideration

Rooms a little small and bathrooms dated

If you want to visit Looe then you would be very happy with the location, and to that extent it was a good choice for us
Overpriced, particularly for the size of the room. Bedroom was tiny, and the en suite was only just big enough to get in the shower and toilet. Continental breakfast was extremely poor standard, although the cooked breakfast (eggs benedict one day, bacon sandwich the other) was much better.

Location is superb and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The ensuite looked a bit tired although it was good and clean.

Location was spot on, everything was in easy reach of the hotel, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely and big with a wonderful balcony to look at the river and town views, the shower was fantastic, hot and powerful, the bed was big and very comfortable, the breakfast was very good, full English (Cornish) with a choice of how many items you wanted and the way they were cooked, with many other continental options, the evening meal was very upmarket, and could have been from a posh restaurant, overall a very nice hotel.
I have said this in other reviews, for the amount of money you pay a mini fridge is needed in these rooms with a couple of bottles of water and maybe some complimentary drinks or sweets. just a nice touch for those who chose to pay for the more expensive rooms.

Paid £165 per night. Breakfast awful choice.. Very poor
Room very small. I believed that I booked a room with better facilities and bath.. No bath.. bit disappointed with that.

Big, comfy bed - nice linen
The room had thin walls - we could hear clearly everyone who walked down the corridor outside the room - the room was small and had a tiny bathroom - fine for our one night stay but I wouldn’t have liked to stay longer

There wasn't much to like apart from the team trying to be as helpful as they could be and understanding.
Definitely not worth the money at £195 it was 50% too expensive and I shared my thoughts with Michael the manager who is doing is best and trying to make the best of a bad situation
The other guests could be plainly heard through the walls and door of my room, as though the walls were made of plasterboard. Snoring, going to the toilet, the TV, coughing, everything. Room 110 .
Freezing cold in the bar. Poor choice of beers and food menu very limited. No tissues provided in the room. No fridge and no water. Because of the door with such huge gaps I could see the lighting in the corridor and hear the other guests walking by and saying goodnight to each other! It also felt very unsafe. There is a 2inch step down from the room into the bathroom which is a health and safety issue, no tapenor hazard warning and during the night I stumbled down it. The bathroom fan had an inch of dust.
No feather pillows, when I asked for some as I'm allergic to foam it was suggested I put a 'roll of carpet under my head!!!!!'

the breakfast was excellent, the staff courteous and friendlyl. We had a room with a harbour view which was really lovely. We had reserved a table at the restaurant for the first night and the food was so good that we ate there for the whole of our stay.WE

location, cleanliness of the room
we asked for a bath but didn’t get one. apparently there are only two rooms in the hotel with a bath. coach trip visitors got priority.

Location was excellent, a short walk to the main town, lovely view, restaurants nearby (10 minutes), bus close, taxis available. We walked from the rail station with no problem (10 minutes). Our balcony was ample with a table and chairs. We could leave our double doors open and read in bed with a view of the harbour.
It felt slightly expensive but we did book fairly late.

I always enjoying staying here it's a great location, good staff good food and dining area is lovley.
Althou stayed in room 208 last Sunday 18/09/22 for £155 there wasn't much space in our room.
The shower was tiny and we could hardly move.
To park a half mile away is a pain but it's a much better option than many places in Looe.

room wasn’t suitable for family with kids,it was very noisy until midnight and can’t rest
everything was very expensive in the hotel, my room was cold and heater not working and me and my child getting cold, the blanket duvet wasn’t in right size and wasn’t comfortable at all , I expected a room with sea view but it wasn’t.I never book it again.
