La posizione centralissima, la disponibilità dell'host
La doccia purtroppo non era funzionante a dovere e il bidet era otturato.
Anche il bollitore purtroppo non era pulito.

The property is very central, easy walk from train train station. Room is very large, nice sitting room, and has a fridge and fan. The host is very accommodating and serves a nice breakfast.
It’s very hard to rate as I stayed during the heatwave and this property has no air conditioning and it was very hot even though a fan was provided.
I suggest replacing the sheets with white cotton as the current flannel ones are very hot. Also the window shutters do not fully close and there is a lot of light in the morning. Also there is some street noise at night and church bells at 8am. Hairdryer needs replacing.

This is the second time I have stayed. The vendor communicated in English, which was a great help. It is a special little place, love it.
Food and hospitality, as warm as the weather. Thank you very much

Always exceptional service, feels very personal. Fantastic rooms and breakfast!
4.5
Room was decorated with a lot of love and detail, the owner was also very lovely. The location was perfect and parking was also no problem, however we had a small car. The breakfast was served in the room and was super delicious. :-) But all in all a good experience with a very fair price and lovely, helpful owner.
The floor, which was not very clean and very sticky.

The owner was great and received us himself, the room was spacious and comfy, really comfortable bed, perfect location in the center very close to a bunch of cafes, restaurants and pizzerias .

Mr Dante is a very nice host and the rooms are one of a kind. I loved this place!
Just the hydropower of the shower could be improved or maybe remove some limescale for a better water flow.

Great host! Very helpful. Interestingly decorated! Relaxed, wonderful time over the holidays. Thank you!

Everything basically.
We loved the quirky decoration and colours. Here finally was one stay over to talk about.
Absolutely loved the vibrant colours, the diverse, sometimes intriguing objects on the walls and shelves.
Loved breakfast being served in our room. It was copious and the coffee was hot.
Loved the fact the heat was on when we arrived and the bathroom was warm.
The bed was comfortable and wow...a decanter with some whiskey if we felt like a drink. What a great sense of hosting. We just loved this place. It was a step out of the ordinary that I would take again, and recommend to everyone. Thank you to the host and owner.
Nothing.

Location is great, staff is great, breakfast is great.
The curtains in the washroom were a dirty.

The large room contained glorious and exquisite decor. It is very hard to find any other place with a comparable interior. Moreover it provides a lot of comfort. Not only the location is great, but also the service. Varese is a beautiful place and this is an excellent point to start exploring it. I can definitely recommend it!
Only one thing: the room did not have much natural light from outside, but the lights in the room are very good!

The most comfortable bed I've ever slept into... Sleeping in my room, Lola, was like entering a speakeasy 1920's era where magic happens. Feathers on the the walls, a massive red velvet door, antique paintings and mirrors. You will never forget your time spent in here as you will clearly discover why this temple of magic is called Oz.
I wished I could've stayed longer: I didn't want to live as this is a very unique place .

great location, a very original accomodation with great furniture, not your typical hotel. Owner/manager going out of his way to ensure you feel fine in the place.

Dante our host was always appearing like a magician just when we needed him! He was never showed he was annoyed if we asked too many questions or when we couldn’t use our keys like other guests. He even made us sandwiches for our train ride. It was a wonderful night in the land of Oz. The location was close to everything, walking distance to the train station and Villa Panza for art. Great food all around us. Exceptionally quiet. Great value. Wonderful place.
We couldn’t reach the soap dispenser in the shower but maybe we were just short people. He could have left a small container of milk in the fridge for tea? But honestly, nothing was a deal breaker. We enjoyed our stay.

I was upgraded from a double bed room to a very large and exquisite room with chandeliers and a king size bed. I called it the Queen's Chamber. It is called the Gold Room. Breakfast was served to my room. I made a reservation to park for free and was instructed where to park without any problems. The owner was great, I checked in early. Was offered a glass of wine served to my room. A tea kettle and teas were also provided. I found the hotel to be "my kind of hotel". Unique and one of a kind, clean, downtown, in a walking district, safe, great staff and service and pleasant surprises. Will stay again.

You should see it yourself! The room we got (Opera) was so unusually decorated including a bunch of old (and not that old) books, real opera dresses (of Maria Callas) and all in an amazing design fashion. On top of that there was a nice crystal bottle filled with some Scotch for free to enjoy in a bath in the center of the room.
Breakfast delivered to the room, accompanied by colorful photo Delacroix and Calatrava books (part of the room design) - amazing!
The owner was very friendly and upgraded us to this best room in the hotel.
I can only wish the best to the owner and the hotel and definitely would like to stay there again.
Entrance to the inner yard parking is super narrow and long. The only way to drive in for me (a medium size SUV) was to fold the mirrors and follow the directions of the hotel owner having just few centimeters space at each side. I would probably prefer a parking somewhere outside.

Amazing location and very unique place! Nice breakfast served! We had a great stay

The rooms are comfortable and it is right in the middle of Varese’s old town. Despite its central location, it was very quiet and so we had a wonderful nights’ rest. Also, we had to leave very early due to an unexpected emergency and the owners were very accommodating. We really appreciated it!
The property is a bit difficult to find and parking is difficult for inexperienced drivers.

Quirky but clean, large room with a really good bed. Big windows with a nice view. Breakfast and car park included. Overall amazing value for money!
