Quirky and comfortable, very out of the ordinary experience.
An observation not a complaint, but it's really not a hotel but rather accommodation attached to a restaurant ( which seems to be closed in the evening)

One of the most amazing places to stay. Spotlessly clean. Such a unique experience and would love to have stayed longer. Decor taking you back in time. Cozy indoor fire place adding to the ambiance of an already fantastic experience.

Thanks so much to Dean for having me at the Karoo Moon Motel. Such a good experience with easy check-in and a very comfortable room, excellent linen and I slept very well. Loved the vibe and the decor and I popped into Diesel and Creme the next morning for a delicious coffee and pancakes!

From the friendly staff, to the most comfortable bed, the delicious breakfasts, the milkshakes, the best coffee, the exquisite garden, the most amazing host - the list goes on... perfection personified!!!! Don't worry about loadshedding, you're covered with lights all over.
Just missing a little gas stove for early morning coffee during loadshedding.

Such a fun, eclectic spot. Full of antiques. We loved it. Conveniently located beside the Diesel and Crème Restaurant, open for Breakfast and Lunch. Their Chia Latte was the best we have ever had. They recommended the Mez Karoo Kitchen for dinner…it was excellent as well.

I am not always a big fan of these 'concept hotels' with keylock checkins, having said that, this is a great concept. The room is absolutely fantastic, super comfortable and beatifully decorated with all the facilities you want and need, and more, even firewood for a braai which I though was great service. Everything so tastefully done, beautiful materials, carpets and towels from the local weavery, I loved how local produce has been used which made it different from many other places. Dean or whoever designed this place has really thought about everything for a great stay and making guests comfortable, compliments for that.
Little impersonal but staff in next door restaurant were helpful. It is is basically one big space which has brilliantly been divided and you definitely hear your neighbours. We did not have problems but noise may be an issue.

It was easy to find. Athough we didnt meet any staff, the owner checked on us to make sure we got in okay. The place is full of character and the bed was luxurious.
We stayed in the studio, which is beautiful, but there is no kitchen sink or table.

This is not a bed-and-breakfast, so we had breakfast at Diesel and Cream next door. The unit itself is quite something. Very special furnishings. nice woodburning stove. Barrydale itself is a real gem
Nothing!
