Cute cabin in lovely spot. No AC! Steep narrow staircase to loft. Otherwise, fully loaded kitchen and lovely art deco decor. No cell service or ability to contact guest serves unfortunately.. close to River and town. Great beds!

We had a great time at this adorable cabin. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub! Very close to town and the redwoods! Be sure to check out Armstrong Woods!

I had a lovely long girls weekend with my grad school BFF. My favorite part was the hot tub under the redwood trees with Fife Creek gurgling right below us. The deck was perfect for sitting in the morning sun before visiting nearby wineries, hiking, and enjoying the local culinary treats. Nights were cozy with a great stereo system, lots of firewood, and comfy beds. Highly recommend!

Cabin was very clean, location was very nice and the creek was beautiful

The cottage is comfortable -- stays cool in the heat. Quiet next to a running stream! Couldn't be a better respite.

Great place. This was our second time staying here. Very relaxing to be near the creek and read a book on the deck. Relaxing hot tub. Good location. House is well appointed. Good getaway place.

Well-equipped and cozy. Tastefully outfitted, mid-century/cottage-y. Close to town and redwoods. Lovely!

The Fife Cottage is a nice, cozy & rustic little cottage. However, I could only give it 3 stars because of the following. I should have notice these items in the pictures. If I did, I wouldn't have booked the cottage. First, the bedroom doesn't have a closet & the dresser was full of owner items. Therefore, we had to live out of our suitcases on the floor. Minus 1 star. Second, the bathroom doesn't have any counter space for my wife to do her makeup. Minus 2nd star. The location was great, just down the road from Armstrong Redwoods.

We had a great time visiting. Very quiet, short drive to town or Armstrong redwoods. Creek next to the cabin was delightful.

Lovely, comfortable, cozy - it was everything we needed. We spent Christmas week there- it rained the entire time, but this place was cozy and relaxing. No nearby trails for for walking your dog, We'll go back.

Loved the house. Nice and quiet. Loved the sounds of the stream while sitting outside in the hot tub and patio. Other than numerous spiders around inside the house, absolutely loved it. We will definitely be return guests. I asked about the cushions for the furniture on the back patio and Vacasa was ready to send someone all the way out to the house to find them. Great service, excellent communication, nice house, all around 5 star weekend!!!

This was a wonderful cottage at the end of a quiet road. Outside of town, but still close enough to town to easily get anything needed. There was an issue with the fridge, but Vacasa sent a repair person out immediately and the fridge was fixed. We loved the back deck, and while we didn't use the hot tub, it was a nice extra touch. Really loved the feel of the cottage - it just felt very homey.

We stayed at this rental home for over a week. We were promised enough beds for 6 sleepers. There was a pull out couch upstairs that was old, dirty, and broken. When my 7 yr old daughter slept in it, I found over 50 bug bites around her neck and back the next morning. I have pictures to show the severity of these bites. I then checked my 10 yr old daughter who had slept in that same bed the night before, and she had bites on her neck and shoulders as well. I tried contacting the property manager who texted me the check in instructions a couple of days prior to this incident, but I was ghosted. I wrote her several times and she never responded.
Another problem happened I ne day when my teenager was in charge. A woman with blonde hair drove up in a truck, parked in the drive infront of the front door, did not knock on the door, was not wearing any kind of identification on her clothing specifying who she was, went around the back, did things in the backyard with the hot tub and other things, and then left eventually after awhile. My kids were so freaked out and felt very worried about their safety. I was so upset that I called VRBO customer service immediately. They told me the property manager would contact me about the situation. I was never contacted. The owner never apologized for the incident or explained who that was. I feel I should be refunded for my stay due to pest infestation and privacy violations.
The house came with a few helpful amenities. The front bedroom was really nice. The sheets were very soft. The hot tub and hammock are enjoyable. The scenery and redwoods are beautiful. However, the yard is not maintained or landscaped. It is severely overgrown. Nothing like the pictures on VRBO show. No private access to the creek. One of the biggest reasons why we selected this house and paid such a hefty price tag was that I knew my kids would love the creek.
I was very disappointed to see how much neglect the property had both inside and out. The shower door stall was broken. The furniture and house needed updating. It was dusty and not very clean feeling. The owner def needs to take some of their cash flow and invest in beautifying and updating the property and home.
I was very disappointed and shocked by the lack of and difficulty to contact the management when we had problems. This property is not worth the price they are charging. I will not be back and feel that they should compensate us for our difficult experience.

Overall, this stay was disappointing and the first for me where the pics were nicer than the property itself. My stay began by receiving a notification three hours before check-in time stating that the trip was canceled because it couldn't be cleaned. After an hour on the phone, this was fixed. The two main reasons I booked this place were the hot tub and the backyard for my dog. The hot tub was dirty (could feel the dirt/sand at the bottom while in it), and the backyard was so overgrown with weeds that I ultimately had to keep the dog out because she would get covered in prickers within just a few minutes of roaming around.

Great place - responsive service once we connected to the right person
There were a couple small issues w.r.t. the grill (spark ignition didn't work, no butane lighter) and hot tub (not enough water). I tried to get feedback through the app, but that didn't work well. I called instead and the service was prompt. They came by, assessed the situation, bought the necessary items and were very helpful. The regional contact gave me her contact information if we needed anything else (we didn't).
The place itself was as described, quiet, and comfortable.

I enjoyed this place, it was very cute, cozy, and safe....the only downfall was that we were looking forward to us sing the hot tub, honestly it was a big part of the appeal. When we got there we turned it on to warm it up and notice the water was yellow. We left and went to the store and when we came back around 6 there was a note on the door saying it was out of service for the weekend. I contacted the manager and she said i wouldn’t be charged for “hot tub fees” (everything was already paid) and receive a 20% off discount for a future stay credit which is not in my account either. A little disappointed overall but we made the best of it.

Cabin was perfect for a cozy weekend getaway. Family of 6 stayed comfortably. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Furnishing is minimal, but had everything we needed for making meals and relaxing together. Kids loved exploring the creek bed. Unfortunately the state park was closed due to recent fires (very close to the property when open), but we made a day trip into Sonoma for hiking and had a fabulous time.
