An incredibly view with the clearest water. The yard was open and very spacious. Property was well stocked. There were a ton of little fruit flies especially in the bathroom and master bedroom, which was a little off putting.
But overall we had a good time. And that view was spectacular.

We had great weather and appreciate the opportunity to stay right on the water.

Cottage: great amenities, clean, all that you need for a wonderful stay.
Backyard: generous, private, excellent sunset views very nice outdoor fireplace.
Beach: excellent 2 entry points, from the land and from a very nice dock.
Lake simcoe: clean water and warm (~25 Celsius) at the end of July.
The only think you may need to bring is beach chairs for the dock.
We will stay here again.
Thank you very much for hosting us.

We rented this lovely cottage on the lake and invited nearby family members to visit our stay for a few days. Everyone from babies to elders enjoyed the shallow water and catching some sun on the dock. The cottage was well stocked with towels, linens and cookware.

We ,family of 7, stayed at the cottage for a week and absolutely loved it. The cottage is very spacious with everything what you need for your stay. The beds were very comfortable with a lot of extra blankets, pillows and bedding items. Kitchen was stocked with all essentials we needed for our stay.
The view was absolutely fantastic. We really enjoyed sunset almost every night and got unbelievable pictures.
Kids spent most of the day on the dock fishing and swimming. The water was shallow, therefore it was safe (water shoes are essential).
We run into some issue but the owner was wonderful in resolving it. She always answered our messages and phone calls.
Overall, it was an amazing stay. We will recommend this cottach to our friends and will consider it fo the next summer.

From start to finish the accommodation was a great fit for our stay. The view and lakeside luxury was an amazing way to spend the afternoon.

Twin brothers and their wives, one from British Columbia, the other from Nova Scotia met up to attend a niece's wedding at her family farm 20 minutes from the charming cottage. The father of the bride is the youngest brother of the family. The location of the cottage is a very pleasant walk from the town of Beaverton. The weatherman was not very cooperative on the wedding day, but by the time of departure, we had some rather nice seasonal temperatures. The only negative, was my husband left his power cord for his laptop!

The size and location of the cottage was excellent but our biggest issue was the mice poop on the kitchen counter and stove. We had to throw out bagels, bread and muffins the first morning and then stored the rest in the fridge and microwave for remainder of the week. Every morning we had to Lysol the counter and stove before use. Very disappointed. We advised there would be 6-8 people for 7 days and we where only left with 1 half roll of paper towel and 3 half used rolls of toilet paper (I still have no idea how they were all half used), no garbage bags and only 1 compost bag. We have been renting cottage for over 10 yrs now and never experienced anything like this before.
Hopefully you take this into consideration for future guests.
Thank you

Interior clean and comfortable, dishes, pans good. Beds excellent, but the windows need replacing; double paned windows have lost their seal. Main modern bathroom very nice. Some BR carpets need replacing too. Yet it is a vey nice place to visit and we would come again. Owner very hospitable and accommodating.

Family get-together
Perfect size ranch bungalow accommodating 6 adults with 1 1/2 bathrooms. Backs onto Lake Simcoe with stairs leading down to the pebble beach and dock. Quiet and private location with cedar hedges separating properties. Short drive to Beaverton, local grocery store and LCBO. Would rent again.

Suitable location for our purposes, could use some TLC
Four of us stayed at this property to do day trips in the area so we weren’t planning to spend a lot of time at the house, thanksfully. It was suitable for our purposes but had some cleanliness issues (dirty oven and stovetop, drawers full of junk, mold on windows, etc). I could overlook all of that but the friends with us were not impressed so it all depends on your standards. The yard was also not kept up, lawn was a jungle, lawn furniture was moldy, etc. However, lovely big trees and general nice ambiance of the neighbourhood, comfortable layout of house and nice view out of the living room window (dining room window view obscured by moisture due to broken seals). It is no doubt early in the summer cottage season so maybe they weren’t expecting guests and all will be tidied up before the next visitors.

Cedar beach cottage
Beautiful old cottage in a beautiful friendly neighborhood. Beautiful view of the lake. Be sure to take in water shoes with you for the rocky beach and shoreline. Comfortable and convenient. The main living room fan doesn’t work

Location was more out of the way then expected. Not the fault of the rental. Rental could use some updating and fixing. Otherwise, suited our needs.

Simcoe Cottage
Location was great, plenty of space to play and the sunsets are amazing with a great view of the lake. The dock and small stone beach were great for swimming and paddle boarding. We had such a good time we stayed an extra night!

The house smelled really musty, we opened all the windows to try and get rid of the smell
Overall the property was ok. Had people come and take the dock out our last day there. Good thing we didn’t bring our boat. Space inside was good beds pretty comfortable,

We had a nice stay overall.
Positives:The beds were comfortable, new 3 piece washroom with makeup area was nice and the size of the cottage for our family fit us well. The propane ran out mid dinner however I emailed the owner first thing in the morning and we had a new tank delivered and hooked up before lunch.
Negatives: shag carpeting in the bedrooms is gross, would be better off ripping out and leaving ply wood floors. Floors and roof were very wrapped with apparent water damage and the chimney was wrapped in plastic which clearly meant it was also leaking. Don’t have basic cooking utensils and all the chairs outside were old and half burned.
The cottage needs a lot of work and if invested would be a great spot.

Had a lovely time, only thing is they had taken up the dock which we didn’t know. Also lots of wood but no axe provided. Bring all condiments. Very private.
