Good location if you need to be on the south side of Lisbon, as I did. If you're looking for the blue tiled, custard tarts and tram version of Lisbon, this is not it and you'll definitely need a car to get around. There are a few cafes and a large supermarket within walking distance though.
The apartment is spacious, clean and has lots of light for a basement apartment. Kitchen was well equipped although it would be nice if the hosts could leave some basics there for the guests: salt, oil etc. There is a small pool (it's a plunge pool: you won't be swimming laps) which I am sure is a welcome respite on a hot day. Self check in is very handy if you don't know what time you will arrive. Lovely patio area directly accessible from the kitchen.
The double bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on: it really needs to be replaced immediately. The pillows, sheets and blankets also need to be replaced: lumpy thin pillows, old sheets that do not fit properly, a comforter that looked like it was at least 20 years old. The protective sheets and pillowcases felt and sounded like we were sleeping on a tarpaulin and plastic bags which made an already uncomfortable bed pretty much unbearable. No A/C: it wasn't too hot when we were there so it wasn't a problem but I imagine the place gets really hot in the height of summer. Wifi didn't work too well for us either.
