What a fantastic week we had with Gilli and André. With their warm hospitality and genuine personal interest, they really let you enjoy the beautiful paradise they have created. And their tips for the most beautiful and best places and excursions in the area were also worth gold for optimally spending the week. Thanks for everything, Gilli and André!

We were warmly welcomed by André and Gilli and they showed us aroud the property on arrival. The romantic cottage is lovely and small, and it is has everything you’ll need. As it is a small cottage it tends to get really warm inside, but luckily there are fans provided. If you are tall like us, the cottage might feel a bit tiny but rest assured, you wont bump your head against the ceiling if you’re under 2m, besides the fact that you will probably spend most of the time outside in the private garden to enjoy the great weather. There is a pool available to cool down which has a fantastic view from up the hill. Vidauban is a great authentic little village and a perfect place to stay if you want to discover the surrounding area including lake saint-croix or the many vineyards.
We have really enjoyed our stay here and would definitly recommend it.

We (1 Couple, 1 Dog) stayed in the House for one Week to enjoy the Nature and People of the Coté d'Azure. The House is very cosy and clean. WLAN is fast and strong (the Access Point stands in the Middle of the House. You have an nice little garden, where you can sit and lay down after a Day to enjoy the afternoon Sun.
Around the Village, you have numerous Hiking Routes and Paths to go. The Landscape is realy beautiful. Near the House (ca. 500m) is a Supermarket and the local Marketplace. Easy Access to the Highways to get the some Hotspots like St. Tropez, Marseille or Cannes.
One Week are barely not enough. We definitly come back to this beautiful little House in France. Thanks Gilli and Andre. We (and the Dog) enjoyed our stay very much.

I can only echo the other fantastic reviews of this place. Gilli and Andre were superb hosts and couldn't have been more helpful when needed, while also leaving us to our own devices. The Cabanon is perfectly equipped with almost everything you could possibly need and the terraced garden is fantastic for relaxing in. The dipping pool was lovely after a hot Provence day. Vidauban is well situated for a number of local markets and vineyards, while the Gorge du Verdon is less than an hour away. I would thoroughly recommend getting a ferry out to the island of Port Cros - just stunning.

The perfect place to relax and explore the region. Gilli and Andre were always on hand but never intrusive. The cabanon is small but well equipped and excellent wifi. The only flies in the ointment so to speak were the mosquitoes but they were kept at bay from the cabanon by plug in repellent supplied. Thanks Gilli and Andre.

On arrival at the property we were met by Andre and Gilli our lovely friendly hosts who could not have been more accommodating. They kindly showed us around the cabanon and up to the dipping pool and beautiful gardens. We were so happy to be here after many hours of driving, it was the perfect place to settle and enjoy the sights around Vidauben. The cottage is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and also has the thoughtful addition of books, local maps, leaflets and guides of Provence and the local area. Our dog was made very welcome too! Great communication before our trip. We would highly recommend coming to stay. Thank you Andre and Gilli!

What a delightful cottage. Cosy and very clean. We didn't know what to expect from the area at this time of year but it was fabulous. The weather was extremely pleasant and the area offers everything you could want from gorgeous walks to lovely little shops and markets not to mention an abundance of famous french food! We will be back.

We have recently returned from a wonderful week-long stay at this gorgeous cabanon in an ideal location. It contained everything that we needed for a relaxing stay, and we can't recommend it highly enough! It was lovely to be able to sit outside the cabanon on a warm evening within your own private patio, and equally nice to be able to walk into Vidauban (around 10-15min walk). The market here on a Sunday morning is lovely, and we ate at a cuban/latino restaurant (O'Rodizio) a couple of times here that we would also recommend. We were able to explore many places from here, including San Tropez, Cannes, Cassis (gorgeous!), the stunning waterfall at Sillans, and numerous local markets (Aups was particularly good). Gilli and Andre are lovely and welcoming hosts, and were always around if we needed anything. Visit this tranquil and ideal cottage if you can! (remember the mosquito cream, there are many!)

We didn't exactly stay in the Cabanon but in another part of the property called the Studio so we can't really comment on it but on the property and on the holiday in general. Everything was as portraid by the pictures and stated in the information we were given by the hosts before departure so we were satisfied with what we had and the equipment provided where enough for us. The garden is well maintained and so is the pool and even though we shared it with other guests and the owner we had a great feeling of intimacy. The two hosts are welcoming and willing to help without being intrusive, we didn't feel that we needed anything else but we were asked more than once if we were alright. From Vidauban we could reach by car very beautiful places as Sillans la Cascade, Salernes, Lorgues, the Gorges du Verdon, the lakes and the countryside around and a week was not enough because there would be much more to see and do. Claudio, Kuma (our dog) and I had a wonderful time and I would recommend the property to other visitors especially couples seeking a quiet environment.

We have rented lots of little houses in France and our stay with Andre and Gilli was definitely the best. We could not have asked for better hosts or a more beautiful place to stay. We really didn't want to leave. Vidauban is a great little town with all the facilities you could want and you really can just walk down to town to grab your morning baguette or an evening beer in the square.
The highlight of our stay was using the pool and enjoying the gardens which are lovingly cared for. It was very hot while we were there so the pool and the umbrellas were very necessary.
We really loved staying here and are already planning when we can return!!

We were looking for a nice cottage in a village location for a week to chill out in the South of France. This was exactly what we got. The cottage is compact; lounge, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom but perfect size for holiday, and is well equipped with cooking and convenience essentials. The garden area is secluded and all to yourself, and gives a nice balance between shade and sun. If I hadn't been attacked by mosquitos it would have been perfect; be sure to stock up on bite cream! Place was spotlessly clean; the owners were lovely left us alone but were available if we needed them. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants some quiet time away.

We had a very enjoyable week's stay in this comfortable 'cabanon' which is in an interesting part of Provence. Our hosts Gilli and Andre were extremely helpful with ideas about things to do and places to see.

Our 2 week holiday staying at the Cabanon des Glycines in Vidauban in Sep/ Oct 2013 was amazing and rates for us amongst the very best retreats we have ever found. If you are looking for somewhere you can completely stop and relax we guarantee you will not find better. Our hosts Gilli and Andre struck the perfect balance between being on hand when we needed information or help, yet always respecting our privacy. They are both extremely interesting people and very knowledgeable on the area and beyond, with a great warmth which made our stay perfect. We both loved the fact that the cottage was very light, tastefully appointed, delightfully peaceful and exactly the right size to spend considerably longer stays; without being onerous to keep tidy. The key characteristics which make this place such an excellent find are: the magical cottage itself, its outstanding location for touring the region, the comfortable double bed, wonderful garden area for candle lit suppers and everything else that other guests have appreciated, which originally persuaded us to go in the first place. The cottage has good walks from the front door and the region caters for all manner of culture-vultures and gastronomes; Marseille and Aix en Provence being must visits. As owners of our own luxury holiday cottage business, we would consider the quality of this property to be excellent, good value for money and a place with soul. We will definitely be booking it again; thanks to both of you!!! Malik and Sandra
