Great location, clean room for budget conscious travelers.

Great location, room was clean, room had a fridge. Liked the shower because it was not a bath shower. Air conditioner worked well. Not cheap but more reasonable for Kauai. Cafe had great macadamia nut pancakes.

Property has a cafe, and brings many locals for breakfast. The motel parking is overflow for the cafe. Some customer had a truck alarm that started loud honking outside our room at 7:30 which went on and off seven times. The sound proofing is lacking. There were no hand towels provided and the front desk also doubles as the cafe staff and are only available part of the day. Unit could s also use more electrical plugs.

If you need an inexpensive place to stay over night it is a good place. If you love ok for a holiday stay away.

It is clean and offers everything you need (air conditioning, wifi, tv, a reasonably comfortable bed). It is located in the center of Lihue.

The furniture is old, cabinets are chipped, there are cracks in the walls. Everything looks a bit outdated and shabby.

Cheapest in the island but bad quality.

Price was good. Probably only thing

Beds were not comfortable. Maid service was basically towel change, swept very poorly. On mondays they are not even there, don't pick up phone nor respond to emails.

Good

It was old but clean, pretty quiet and in a good location. Parking is free. Breakfast is good. I would say it is overpriced for motel type!

Ok but too high priced.

The staff was friendly, quick, and efficient. The food at the cafe was good and the service there was good. The room was clean and I loved the shades that covered the windows. It was good for sleeping one night.

The ac was noisy. I like having a small frig and microwave and coffee pot but the room had none. I paid $194 for a room, I don't think the room was worth that price. I would've been happy with paying $100.

I would come back for the cafe nearby

Room was very clean and beds are so soft and comfortable, their cafe is serving delicious food , staff is very nice, would recommend

Coming back at night it’s very dark , not many street light, sink faucet didn’t work, so we had to wash our faces under the shower

Not worth $200 at all a night way over priced such a basic room. Restaurant downstairs not even open. Would not stay there again

Basic motel, good for budget travellers

Staff at reception were friendly and willing to help. The cafe downstairs is really good, make sure you don't miss the ox tail soup in the breakfast menu!

Great place to stay if you want to explore and experience

Top location, close to airport and Walmart. Motel has a restaurant with great coffee, value for money breakfast ( huge variety) and most importantly it is the place where locals eat, which is always a good sign. Charlie, the Vietnam war veteran, who lives in the motel ads extra charm to the place. He has great stories and loves to have a chat.

It would have been wonderful if the room had a fridge.

Comfortable stay, tasty breakfast!

First and foremost, the breakfast is fantastic. This is clearly a well-known local spot. There was a long line of tourists and locals alike in the morning, and wow, the food is delicious - quick too! Try the Grand Slam or Oxtail Soup if they have it that day. Anyways, Tip Top Motel is located in a Tip Top area in Lihue. It’s very close to the main highway, which is quite convenient. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, and the staff is friendly. The price is just right too, considering how expensive other lodging options across the island.

It’d be nice if the rooms had a fridge and microwave. That’s my only suggestion.
