- beautiful site - really friendly staff - really nice restaurant - room was comfortable

- the breakfast was a bit pricey for what you get. I would have loved to have more savory options. - the TV in our room was weirdly positioned (small detail but still) would have been great to place it facing the bed so you can watch TV in bed and not on the sofa that’s not very comfortable - although we had a terrace in our bedroom it looked a bit sad (no decor, sad umbrella and not very clean)

Autopark was too dusty. Kettle was rotten. Pool was not so clean.

Great property and the restaurant was delicious ! Rooms smelt like sewage and showers could have been cleaner for being so new. Overall a comfortable stay if you’re looking for somewhere driving distance for winery tours.

Lovely staff and a great size room with a comfortable bed. The pool was super refreshing after days spend exploring the region in the heat. The breakfast was great with a good selection of food.

Disappointed

It was off the beaten track and quiet.

I think they concentrate on the restaurant not the hotel. No table in the restaurant for us on the night and not pre told, so we had to drive out about 7 miles to find somewhere. No Wi-Fi working in the room and nobody was interested, had to go into reception if you wanted to use it. Lock on the bathroom/toilet door was broken so you couldn’t lock the door. There was a swimming pool but I wouldn’t have used it, sun beds stained, no towels and very unkempt around the pool, lots of weeds and not very nice. Wouldn’t stay again.

a disaster

when I booked I asked for a reservation in the restaurant, when we arrived we discovered that although the restaurant was in the hotel it was under different management and nothing had been reserved and we could not get a booking, the hotel staff were worse than useless in helping with this.The hotel is miles from anywhere so don't stay here!!

Booking .com should be more involved in the detail

Beautiful hotel and restaurant - worth a visit

Beautiful room and great restaurant: wonderful food, great wine an very good service.

It would have been good to be informed that the restaurant (both dinner and breakfast) should be paid separately in the restaurant. When I paid the bill in reception the morning of departure, I noticed that the amount was much too low and asked them to check what had happened - was only then told that I could not pay for everything at the reception, but needed to pay in the breakfast room. If I hadn't checked the amount (and I sometimes don't) we would have left without paying for dinner and breakfast ....... and that was certainly not our intention.

The 'vibe' of the room and the relaxed vibe in the hotel itself. The airconditioning in the room and its generous size. Also the staff was very friendly!

The extremely dusty rock surface to park the car on (it makes the interior of the car extremely dirty with white dust).

Comfortable, stylish room. Good air conditioning. Pool was refreshing. Garden was very pretty.

We were not able to eat in the restaurant for dinner as we had not reserved in advance. We didn't realize we needed to make a reservation. The breakfast buffet was good, but items had run out (juices, cups) and were either not replaced or slow to be replaced.

Good value hideaway with great restaurant

Just stayed one night on a stop over - great modern, spacious clean room, nice bathroom. The adjoining restaurant was exceptional, beautiful setting and seriously good food. Breakfast was great too, lots of lovely choices. A great value little find in a calm secluded spot.

Maybe some nicer sun loungers?

We had a wonderful time.

The pool was great, although a little cold since it was early in the season. Our room was large ( a family suite) and had two bathrooms which was lovely with four people. The little village really welcomed us and made us feel like friends.

We wish we had known that there were tennis rackets and balls for the tennis court and a boule set available behind the reception desk.

Not a room with a view.

Location and size of room. Receptionist was very personable and helpful.

The Queen room was the largest in the hotel. It had been refurbished but not to a high standard. Light fitting not fixed properly. Bathroom door had no handles - holes instead! Door handle to room was loose and several screws fell out. Handle to patio door was missing. View from window was mostly of a roof and chimney. Receptionist was apologetic and promised to point these failures out to the attention of the manager.

ok for a quick stay

good size room but not great view (room 101) comfortable mattress

there was no hairdryer No mini fridge the doors seemed unfinished, there were small holes on all the wooden doors but no handles (I guess it is just being refurbished but it seemed the work was not finished) There was no staff at the reception so had to look for someone in the restaurant every time in the end left the keys on the counter when I left room 101 has view of the roof of the restaurant with the fumes from the chimney pillows not very comfortable
