Modernized traditional Bavarian hotel, very gorgeous, absolutely delicious breakfast! Location and hotel restaurant excellent!
4.3
Big room, quiet place, easy parking and late night restaurant in the house
The heating was turned off when we arrived.. took 8 hours to heat up the room... Also there were little flies in the room, not sure what those were.
4.3
I liked the staff; the overall people are great there.
Also, hotel looks amazing, it is near the lake and everything is just magical.
Food and drinks - perfect.

This Hotel is just one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in!
Friendly staff, comfortable clean freshly refurbished rooms, tasty breakfast in the canteen with breathtaking view to the mountains!
also the Restaurant is great - quality food with a nice service.
Very good value for money.
I think the place has no sauna, however there’s a Therme nearby so it’s not really a big deal
4.3
Nice hotel, clean rooms and historic building with nice restaurant. Parking was easy.
Rooms are clean but very basic.

I loved the upgraded superior room, with its comfy beds, modern TV, large bathroom and spacious shower. The hotel also had a great vintage-baroque decoration that made you feel like you were in a real Bavarian home! In the morning, the view of the Bavarian mountains when taking the breakfast is a treat for the eyes! Speaking of food, the breakfast and the restaurant were superb. The staff are friendly (in a German way 🙂). For hiking, the hotel is conveniently located next to the bus station and the starting point for the hike to the Herzogstand (6 hours hike to the peak with fantastic views). Overall, I highly recommend this place, if one can book the upgraded superior room.
The room's floor was slightly dusty.
Some of the staff have rudimentary English

Really nice hotel. They let me park my motorcycle under cover in the courtyard, which was a nice thing to do. Breakfast was really nice too. Good value for money as well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This is NOT a criticism, but I had room 120, and when I took all my boxes off and put them in the room, there wasn't a lot of room left to move around, as the room was very narrow. This is just to make you aware if you get a single room.
But I repeat, this is NOT a criticism.

Great location, friendly staff and lovely building. We only stayed for one night as we were bicycle touring but would have loved to stay longer.

nearby village centre, we had our own terras
breakfast was very good with wide selection of all fresh food.
not very strong WiFi in our room but in the hotel it was ok

Very nice alpine hotel with a spacious and comfortable room and well equipped bathroom. Breakfast food and drinks were of good quality and value.

Receptionist was polite & helpful, location great
organiser for the group given a poky small room that resembled stanley Fletchers prison cell in Porridge. One small window (broken so i couldnt shut it to stop the sound of the church bells over the road at 06.00) about 600mm square so not much light in the room.
When eating on the patio the waiters felt it was acceptable to grab a small hand full of chips from each plate & eat them prior to serving the food to the customer, lovely NOT

The room and breakfast were awesome. Our room was the main street facing, so it was bit noisy due to the cars on the street.
4.3
The rooms are very clean, modern with a touch of rustic/bavarian influence. Very spacious too. Love the showers! 😀 The staff are super nice and friendly. Location is awesome - just a few meters from the lake and has access to a lot of other towns. Perfect for a recovery weekend or vacation trip in Bayern. Definitely in our top list and we love to go back here again.

We were rather late at the hotel (just before 8pm) but that wasn't an issue for the hotel.
Dinner was good but nothing special.
The breakfast was great. It´s a continental breakfast but would have loved to have some more choice on the "warm" savory options. I´ve loved the building itself and the breakfast room. The combination of the old house and the modern style is a nice combination.
The room I had was right to the street so some car noise was audible but it´s a village, so not too many cars are passing through in the middle of the night.
The staff was very friendly. Nothing at all to complain.
Dinner was a bit pricy for what it´s been. But that´s normal for Bavaria.
The room I had booked and I got didn´t match. I did not complain as I was just tired.
The shower could be replaced as it was clearly visible that someone used force to install it. The metal and plastic had stress marks but that´s just a minor issue.
4.3
The food was amazing. Staff were cordial and helpful. We had to store our own food in their freezer and it was accepted without any hesitation
There could be facilities for tea and coffee on the floor or in the rooms
