- The resort was peaceful and had good rooms.
- The breakfast buffet spread was average. Was not worth the money. Also the breakfast timing can be better something like 6:30- 11 instead of current 8-10
- The safari was also a disappointment as we felt it was ridiculously priced for the experience we had.
- Not having heated swimming pool when your paying such a hefty amount/night is disappointing especially when you have little kids.
- Having mangoes fall from the trees behind the restaurant is a huge safety issue when people are walking out from the back door.
- No flexibility on even an hr of late check out is very disappointing considering we spent close to 100,000 for 1 night.

Rooms were tastefully done.Bath was good
The food.Chef didn’t bother to ask ur preference.Too chilly to eat.No understanding between front office and kitchen.Horribly managed.
The tall stout guy during breakfast and dinner is only interested in forcing people for safari. Not in the dining hall please.

The location of the resort is surreal. You'll never wish to go back home. The best resort in Karnataka. Period.
Food is not great. They can improve more on the taste as the menu is not value for money. This is only thing i didn't find worth the money. But everything else is 5 Star!!!

The staff is outstanding and they go beyond their line of duty to help guests. all our interaction with the staff was pleasant. Byre Gowda, Krishna, chef Ramakant and the servers were all very courteous and went out of their way to accommodate us.
really appreciated their effort in the way they handle guests.
complementary items in the rooms were a great treat
food was non spicy, which was nice for a change. Speed of service was amazing.
Cleanliness could have been better
water was leaking in the wash basins
water pressure was sub par.
biggest issue for us was the amount of oil that was present in food, I feel the kitchen can prepare food with much lesser oil than what they use right now.

The food was good but a bit pricy. Excellent staff and very responsive to our needs. Enjoyed the Spa.
The equipment available for water activities was in pathetic condition.Boat Safari was a bust. They knew that the water level was too high for animals to come to the shore yet no one seemed to think that it was a decent thing to let us know what to expect. It was three hours of wasted time and we could have enjoyed the land safari instead.

the location is excellent. it’s serene and calm.
the upkeep is not that great. the grass was not mowed, there were places to sit but the tracks were not there or it was muddy. swimming pool
was also not clean enough to entice you to
go in. amenities were in poor shape as well.

Service

The rooms were nice and comfy. Good view. Good food.
The service was pretty bad for a resort.that considers itself five star. The staff barely speak English. Their in house naturalist Chamraj was rude and unwelcoming. Gave us no briefing whatsoever before safari and did not even attempt to engage the kids. No tea or coffee provided before or after morning or evening safari. Let alone snacks. Restaurant service terribly poor. Served us dinner almost an hour late. Given we had a 5am wake up call this is unacceptable from a safari lodge. We had to request them to start the movie and bonfire which are the much touted (and only) free activities. And both really sad ones. Pretends to resemble African style glamping but is a two star masquerading as five star in terms of service. They didnt clean our lunch trays from the room till we called them that night post safari. Despite leaving the tray out. When we asked for some decent cheese at breakfast like cheddar or brie, they gave us Amul slices. We paid a lot for clean sheets, let's just say. Overall, 4 on 10. Try one of the other resorts in the area or stay at JLR if you can. Way better deal. These guys act like they are doing you a favour by letting you do a jeep safari. (And charge you more)

Location!! Beautiful cottages! Serene and relaxing. Gorgeous views of the reservoir. Well organized safaris.
Garden maintenance needs to be better. Slightly untidy garden and for the price it should have been better.
