I loved it had a pool and a restaurant and easy parking It was good positioning to explore the Ports etc
Walk to town if you preferred
The restaurant manager Mauricio was wonderful Made our experience greatly Room was very spacious
The building is a bit tired and old fashioned but had charm Our room did not have aircon which was an issue as we were having a heatwave
The information sheet was only in German or French we needed English Reception spoke good English though

It’s a unique oasis.. beautiful historic chalet on gorgeous garden grounds, with beautiful views on a small hilltop. Tranquil setting just a stone’s throw from the town centre. Lovely staff especially waitressses at the restaurant. The included breakfast has an excellent selection! I would stay again in a heartbeat.
I didn’t realize the pool is a 5 min walk seperate from the hotel servicing the entire complex which includes vacation apartments. But we came for the sea so it didn’t matter much.

Breakfast was good rather than excellent. Dinner (not included) proved disappointing, with mediocre service and food

Every thing was as it said it was
Good breakfast , lovely evening meal , friendly staff and great position very quiet but less than 5 mins in to town .

This hotel is glorious! The exterior looks is stunning and we loved staying here. The rooms are a little dated but this is the theme of the whole property. The pool area is lovely, the pool is heated from May which was amazing. There is an indoor and outdoor pool which is a 2 min walk from the main hotel building. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The floors in the room were a little dirty. Some tiles were missing in the pool.

The place and the view
The difficulty to check in after 10pm (and the need to call before 4pm the same day to arrange checking-in..)

Great old chateau with lovely gardens. Reception staff was very helpful and room was very large with a great bathroom and good views. Restaurant food was very good and well priced compared with the town restaurants. Good breakfast choices and lovely setting for meals and an evening drink.
No aircon in the rooms made sleeping uncomfortable as unfortunately there was a heat wave in Europe during our stay. The reception staff was extremely helpful and kindly supplied another fan.

We enjoyed our stay in this scenic hotel. It is well located and maintained, especially the balconies and the garden.
We would have loved lighter bed duvets for July.

The property is really beautiful on the sea and a walking a close distance to the town of St. Maxime.
The breakfast was average. A bowl of cold eggs and cold pancakes were laid out each morning. Right out of the refrigerator. The cheeses and bread were good and the coffee was great.

Perfect location, fabled building and nice breakfast.

Absolutely stunning castle with beautiful grounds and convenient location, just a few minutes walk to the centre of Saint Maxime and ferries to Saint Tropez. Our room was nicely decorated and spacious. I was a little worried that it would be too hot with no air conditioning, but a fan was provided and opening the windows at night meant the room got a really good breeze.
We had a little problem with our shower, but the staff were so friendly and helpful and really wanted to make it right :)
Short walk to the pool area is fine, we went end of June/early July and the area was always quiet with space to find a sun bed.
Fantastic that breakfast was included, had enough of a selection that it would please most people - small cooked options, cereal, fruits, pastries, bread etc

Huge rooms with lovely view and bathroom, fireplace, beautiful hotel, beautiful garden, insanely good food and value for money, smells of the garden, restaurant with views of the sea
The pool wasn't really available to us, it's quite difficult to get there from Nice, the receptionist was a little bit too full of himself but helpful, the elevator is very nice looking but doesnt really work
9.0
The size of the room, the kindness of the staff, the view from the room
I had a backache because of the mattress that may fit others travelers but was too soft for me
10.0
Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were so attentive. Amazing view of the sea really couldn't find a better place to stay in St Maxim
5.0
To be fair, due to the season and the coronavirus the breakfast was very limited in quantity and variety! Dinner, likewise as limited in variety and quality, though not at all bad. The staff was helpful to they extent they could under the circumstances. A visit at a more reasonable time of year and under better circumstances may reveal a more satisfying experience.
Room temperature was unsatisfactory and one of the rooms I rented smelled a bit sour. Perhaps due to lack of occupants over the previous month or so. Again, a difference in the season and circumstances may show a different reality.
