it’s just a gorgeous place in a lovely location (by woods and water, plenty of wildlife), even better if you rent a bike whilst you’re there; the supermarket is well within walking distance, as is the ferry (free!) but it’s just so much faster to get around on a bicycle, not to mention it being a pleasure to cycle around the surrounding woods. you can also swim in the canal!! and vera let us use her kayaks which was so much fun as well. i honestly can’t come up with any issues i am quite obsessed

Everything! Can’t say enough good things…from the amazing hosts with lots of great tips, awesome humble abode on the water, tasty restaurants within walking distance, park with great wildlife steps from the property, great little kitchen with all the supplies you need, and even kayaks to use on the canal!!
no complaints at all!

Beyond perfect. Water canal on one side, forest on the other, peace and quiet, But in 20 minutes you can reach Amsterdam Central. The house is well furnished, very comfortable, very beautiful. Suitable for those who want to travel and be in Amsterdam but also want to enjoy the peace and quiet Of a village. It is recommended to visit the village on the other side of the canal, Tuindorp Nieuwendam. You can buy food there, there are also two good restaurants. A visit to NDSM is also recommended. there are no cafes and restaurants under the house, but that's exactly what we wanted, quiet. We bought food and treats before returning to the house, The kitchen is well equipped and we really enjoyed ourselves.
It's not negative, but just the other side of being in a remote place, transportation. The best solution in our opinion: walk in the morning in the forest 15 minutes to the F1 ferry, it is a real forest and the walk is lovely. Cross to the other side of the river and from there take tram 7, or bus line 43. If you are with luggage or tired, then book Uber. It's 6 euro from the ferry to the house or 7 euro to the metro M52. It did not happen that we waited more than 5 minutes from anywhere in the are

What can I say? It was all perfect. Cheerful owners that contacted us already before our arrival and made sure we had all we needed. Great location on the water, with geese and herons as neighbours and the occasional boat passing by; between a park and a lovely village; nice café at walking or kayak distance (yes, the houseboat comes with kayaks!). Comfortable, sparkling clean apartment with all needed for a great stay.

Loved how quiet the houseboat was. Very spacious and everything we needed was available. It was really comfortable and I would stay again. I think this is perfect if ypu just want to chill and enjoy the quiet life.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was about a 30 min walk to most places we went. We were a family travelling so in summer this wouldn't be a problem but it was quite cold for us in Feb.
