Mixed feelings

Staff were lovely at reception and in the restaurant. We were celebrating an anniversary so our room had a beautiful view over the lake. Meal in the restaurant was very good the night of our arrival and they kept the kitchen open to allow us to eat after our journey. Breakfast was good first day. Location was good for the concert that we were attending in Kerkrade.

Breakfast 2nd day was not good. Hot food was not replenished quickly and we had to ask 3 times for it. Also, no fruit and we were told that they had run out! Beds were too soft for us but that is a personal thing. There was also a design fault in the bathroom as every time we showered there was a puddle on the floor, not sure what was going on!!

Comfortable apartment with lots of space and great views over the golf course.

We had a lovely apartment overlooking the golf course, very spacious. The restaurant /bar area served tasty meals. Robin, who looked after us, was a fantastic , friendly and helpful young man - a really pleasant character.

A noisy group next door who kept us awake until the early hours of the morning. When we complained, they just got noisier. Very limited selection of TV channels.

Value for money

Personell was great. Especially the waiters and barmen were fantastic. Breakfast ladies and receptionists very polite too. Busy days as there was a golf tournament but very quiet. Food was great but lack of variety and delays to get what you ordered. At least beer was super fast! Highly recommended, value for money.

Very pleasant experience overall.

Very spacious rooms, very friendly personnel. You should try the food from the restaurant, it is outstanding.

Huge room, lovely staff. Great breakfast.

Room was huge and nicely furnished. Lots of light. Beautiful view. Staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and polite.

The outside of the building is a bit ugly and actually inside its much nicer than it looks. Parking is very tight - advise to park across the road in the bigger carpark for ease.

Very pleasant stay at Brunssum

The hotel has received some updates since I last stayed 4 years ago. The rooms have been modernized and the same applies for the restaurant and bar, creating a rather pleasant atmosphere. the staff were polite, the room was very clean, comfortable bed, nice breakfast, nothing to complain about really. I did not get to try the WiFi as I was happy using my mobile data just for one night.

The restaurant kitchen closes at 20:00 and no room service is available after this time, although the restaurant and bar remain open until later.

Poor

Large and clean rooms. The apartment was very comfortable for a family of 4. The staff tried to accommodate us and attempted to make it a pleasant experience.

The facility did not look like the pictures. It was old, far from everything, food was horrible and worst... My 2 year, 3 year old, husband and I went to breakfast and was not able to get back in our room. The door was broken. They literally had to break it opened. Overall, it was the worst hotel experience!

Nice but aged hotel. Expectation and price do not match reality

The hotel is located in a quiet area. We received a double-room appartement with bedroom and living room including a little basic kitchen and an eating table.

The breakfast was in a non-heated room (at 3°C outside temperature). While the selection of food was quite broad, the quality of the meal was much below the expected level.

The hotel furniture is very old. The hotel is very old. The apartments are large, but they are lost as if they are unfurnished. The hotel needs to be renovated and exploited the wide area. In addition, the reception staff is good, but a simple information. I tried to back off, but I was told that I would pay the full sum of the five nights, even if I went out from the first night, but I know that they They did not make a mistake and I made a bad choice. Thank you

A very comfortable stay in a spacious and clean apartment.

We had a comfort suite, which was very spacious and comfortable. The bedroom had air conditioning, which was really welcome. The sitting room was very spacious and there was a balcony. There was also a small fridge, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. Nice to have the toilet separate from the bathroom.

It’s a peaceful location, overlooking the golf course, but not easy to reach as so many changes have been made to the access road in recent years. If you approach from one direction (driving) you can only access the car park across the road, and not the parking spaces in front of the hotel, without going in and out of the car park (you pay to leave or get a token from reception). If you do that, you can’t return in the direction you came from. If you approach from the opposite direction, you can’t access the car park on the other side of the road at all. A bit of a problem if there are no spaces in front of the hotel.

A beautiful and huge apartment. Even better if you're into golf!

We were very surprised at the size of the apartment (this is an aparthotel). The living area was huge, with two balconies, one of which overlooks the golf course. There was a separate bedroom and bathroom. The apartment was really comfortable, with nice furnishings. I'm not into golf, but this place must be a golfer's paradise.

There was no sink built into the worktop in the 'kitchen' area. This is surprising, because you do expect one to be there. A sink would have been really useful.

Location was beautiful, great restaurant, very accommodating to all diets (prepared a meal for me that was not in the menu to fit my dietary restrictions), spacious rooms, balconies with an amazing view.

Great location, quiet, great breakfast, nice spacious rooms and views of the golf course. We've stayed here before and will definitely come back again if we're in the area. having the restaurant on the premises is great too so you don't have to venture out.
