Staff is amazing
Breakfast was very good
Location was superb
The bed had a pillow top in order to make two single beds turning into one queen bed , the pillow top was bigger than the two beds together and was moving through the night when we moved while sleeping .

My stay was incredible and behind my expectations. The property is beautiful and the staff is amazing. I loved it so much that I wanted to extend my stay. 10+ stars across the board. The food was excellent, the massage was amazing and the rooms are so comfortable. There is no negative feedback from me. I loved it so much that making this an annual trip.

I really enjoyed the facility and how friendly the staff was. it’s very cozy environment and everything looks great, especially the outdoor common area.
The pool area is great. The pool is phenomenal. the fact that the bar is by the pool is great, especially for those who like to enjoy some drinks (caipirinha and tropical fruit cocktails) at poolside.
the rooms were good and comfortable, but definitely not fancy. I like it that way, but I can see how some people might not. I would definitely recommend they have bigger robes. I’m not a big person (1.75, 75kg) and it was on the small size.
The food was amazing. but a bit pricey.

Refugio was a relaxed place located close to restaurants and bars and not far from the beach.
The garden of the house is beautiful and you can hang out there just next to the pool.
The staff is very helpful and trying to make your stay as easy as possible.
I definitely would prefer it compare to a bigger resort and can fully recommend it as your home in Praia do forte

WOW! What a great Posada! Everything was wonderful! They took appropriate steps to protect everyone from Covid (masks, plastic gloves for self-service breakfast). The Posada was beautiful, as was the pool area and grounds. The location was also perfect for walking to the main street with shops and restaurants. The food...AMAZING! As someone else wrote, I would go there for lunch or dinner, even if I weren't staying there as a guest. We did have lunch, dinner and evening appetizers on three different days. The food was great all three days!
My only recommendation (and maybe this was just because of Covid) would be to have the bar stay open later. The bar closed at 9 pm, which in my opinion was early, especially when we had dinner with friends one night and got back to the Posada at 9:30 and wanted to hang by the pool and have a drink.
Just as above, which was my comment about the bar closing at 9 pm.

Charming B&B with very authentic decor. Lunch and dinner options are pretty delicious.
Stayed there for 8 nights and I was ready to leave. Not worth its rate. Chose this pousada thinking that it would not have many kids (it is part of the Charming Route Hotels). But there were more kids than adults. They were loud running around just being kids and at night there were babies crying. Nothing against kids not babies, I just wanted to be able to take a nap in the afternoon without so much disruption - I figured this was a B&B more suitable to couples.
The daily rate is pretty high so compared to other places I have been both in Brazil and abroad; for that price I would expect a great experience. Service was spotty, slow and they would forget to either bring or put your order to the kitchen. NO kidding, there was not one time during my stay that I did not have to ask twice about an order.
Morning breakfasts became stressful after 3 days; I almost did not want to go eat. It was chaotic with kids yelling all over the place and I had to ask every day for coffee (they would always run out of it) and always had to ask for basic stuff, like mug, fork etc. Sounds silly, but it got pretty ridiculous that every morning I would sit there with my plate with food waiting for them to bring me a fork so I could eat. Attention to detail was zero. In one occasion the service at breakfast was better: when the owner was there watching them.
They do not speak English, not even basic. It was pretty exhausting having to translate everything for my husband (or teach the sentences in Portuguese so he could order a beer himself) as the staff does not speak a word of English, not even the basic like beer and ice. There was one person at the front desk who spoke English but he wasn't there all the time so I had to resolve everything. I have stayed at cheaper pousadas at Praia do Forte that I find a lot more cost benefit effective. B&Bs at this price should have an outstanding trained staff and the stay should be flawless. Never coming back!
