A localização, sitio lindo e tranquilo. Espaço muito bem arranjado e com muito bom gosto na decoração das zonas comuns e dos quartos. Bom pequeno almoço.

Large historic Quinta on hillside with lovely views and peaceful location.

Beautiful historic house and olive grove and we could not ask for a better host than Antonio. The local cuisine at the restaurant onsite was delicious and the pool in the grounds was perfect for cooling off. A great place to disconnect and relax. A friendly and sweet resident Rhodesian ridgeback Bolota too!

Location is beautiful, landscape and pool exceeded expectations.
Breakfast really poor and probably the worse I had in Portugal, room wasnt confortable at all, door of the room did not close and owner said it was fine that no one would walk in…

The scenery was breathtaking. If you love to watch the sunrise, this is your place. Check-in was easy, and the staff was excellent. Room 18 had a bug screen on the outside of the door to prevent bugs from entering if the door was left opened, which I loved. I also loved the privacy curtain and sun shade on the door.
There was a slight odor in my room (#18) that I couldn't quite figure out until the day before check out. I believe it was coming from the standing water in the cooling unit in the room or from the drain in the shower.

Attractive rural location on a working farm with pleasant gardens and good size swimming pool. Very good evening meal and breakfast served in the large, interestingly furnished and decorated main house by pleasant and friendly staff. Our room however was a big disappointment.
Among the faults with our room (which was not the accommodation shown at the head of the listing) were the following:
No toilet seat!
Toilet/bathroom door could not be closed properly, let alone locked.
Large bump in the middle of the floor.
The only air conditioning was a small and noisy table fan.
Tiny ants on the floor and some even on the bed cloths!
Mirror attached to old door and just propped against a wall.
No patio as such, just a bench in the road outside the entrance door.
In my opinion the accomodation was in need of complete renovation, and was extremely poor value for the €90 it cost.

what an amazing property. Historic and although furniture is dated , sofas etc. most are stunning antiques The views are beautiful and peaceful we had a wonderful visit with the owner. a very gracious man.
Dinner, although hearty was not great. Felt like we were eating leftovers that were warmed up. No choices. Take it or go hungry.

What's not to love about this place? A quiet retreat with nice, clean, comfy installations and great personnel. The owner of the Quinta, Mr Antonio, is so attentive and kind. He even gave me a lift back to Beja!

Antonio (the host) was a charming host with a lot of interesting information to share on the history of the Quinta. It is a place that I will highly recommend for a breakaway and tranquility. Rooms are huge, the bed sheets are clear and breakfast is nice.
The place needs a good maintenance.

The authenticity, the tranquility, and the welcome of the owners made my stay like being with the family.
The lack of air conditioning made the sleep not very restful.

The owners were very friendly
Got charged an exorbitant price for dinner ..which was not up to scratch..a steak with packet Chips 16.00eutos with no gravy and uncleaned calamari tubes for 13.00 euros with no side dishes ..rooms are not cleaned or beds made up and breakfast was ridiculous 😒

Clean, comfy, it was possible to do late check out.
Very handy location as we had a wedding close by
Not all rooms have air conditioner and it was 40 degrees. Not a lot to choose for breakfast. They are a bit understaffed right now. A bit expensive for what you get.

the setting is superb! beautiful olive groves and wild flowers.
due to a high number of guests booking within 24 hours after a quiet period;there were a few problems with staffing and catering. It has the potential to be a wonderful stay !!!!
The owner was working all the time during the difficulties, late at night and breakfast and this showed a determination too please his guests, and was appreciated!!!

Wonderful family run establishment situated on a working farm. Rooms are clean, simple and comfortable, but what really sets Quinta do Castilo apart is the way guests are welcomed almost as family. Nothing is too much trouble and the home cooked food is glorious and very good value. The view from the property is also worthy of mention.
A little difficult to find - especially if you rely on a Sat-Nav - mine tried to take me across a ploughed field!

Beautiful location in a lovely old family barn, with the most friendly and wonderful people. It's really quiet and dark at night. They have a nice restaurant with good food and they made sure we got vegan food when we asked for it. Definitely recommend for a non traditional hotel stay.
No airco or fan, but the windows can be opened for nice cool air.

People wree really friendly. The food was great, i am a vegetarian and glutenfree, they were very accomodating and I got a great plate with different sauteed veggies etc. Great stuff.
The owners did their best, in a relaxed way, to make you really feel at home.
The lication was in the middle of the planes with a walkable wide valley on one side.
The Quinta it self was amazing, beautiful, grandeur. And in december woodfires were very pleasant. A room in the house it self is best i think. In summier the stablerooms will also be a great choice.
This is a must, and from here you can visit Beja and Serpa (the most charming i think).
At night Total silence and beautiful stars.
Ill surely Come back with my partner!
