The stunning view and relaxing ambience made it a perfect retreat. I enjoyed the excellent selection of teas and appreciated the TV equipped with Netflix and Prime for entertainment. The rain head shower and the bath provided a luxurious experience, and the nearby walk was a delightful way to explore the area. Plus, being able to walk into town in under 30 minutes was incredibly convenient.
The only notable issue worth mentioning during my stay was that the air conditioning did not work on cool mode. However, Sue promptly provided a fan upon request, which helped after coming back from long walks. Thanks Sue :)

Spacious and beautifully decorated
Sue is a lovely host and very responsive

Just like the name of the place, location, surrounding area and the view are all incredible. Studio is very well equipped. All the switches are very labelled, unlike most places you have to figure out which one is for what. I particularly like all the tea the host provides, very good variety and many are bio. The host is very friendly, communicative and helpful. Wish we could stay a bit longer. We highly recommend this very nice studio. Thank you Sueđâșïž
The only disadvantage is that it is not so easy to find car parking. However, we managed.
1.0 / 5.0
They have nice views. But they have no parking and should not be allowed by booking.com to list that they have parking. We would not stay here again and would look for other locations. This is not a luxurious studio.
NO Parking! They list that parking is available but it is not their parking and they should not offer it or have if listed as an amenity. They count sparce on-street parking that may not even be available. We had to walk steep hills over a 1/4 mile several times to a parking spot to bring in our bags. In addition, there are other issues. This is not a luxurious studio. The deadbolt locks from the inside with a key so that if one person in your party wants to leave, they have to leave the other people in the room unlocked or lock them in and hope everything is okay while they are gone. This is likely a safety violation. In addition, the bathroom fan is inadequate and the walls are covered with condensation even with the fan running. The basket that hold the toilet paper next to the toilet is very dirty and should be replace with a toilet paper holder attached to the wall. The bed is very hard and we did not find it comfortable. The towel stand by the sink has duct tape wrapped around the bottom of the legs... I've never stayed in a "luxurious" place that used duct tape to fix things. The foot pedal to open the bathroom garbage can is broken and you have to step on a nasty looking wire to open the lid or grab it with your hand... which isn't very sanitary. The heater in the bathroom doesn't work. The pull cord is broken off up behind the heater and with the switch on, even stretching to reach up behind the heater and pulling on the cord did not work.
See attached pictures of the above items.
We would not stay here again and would look for other locations.

Nice view, large terrace, exceptional clean, very nice bathtub, very cosy Studio, friendly host, good location and facilities. All organic from the tea to the soap.
Summarised: excellent! The best accommodation we had during our 6 weeks holidays in New Zealand.
There are some stairs going down but that is the price for a good location

The open feel of the deck leading on to stunning views. Bed was super comfortable and set up overall was unique and tasteful.
OK.. the stairs lol. But we knew it was worth the steps when we arrived.

I adored the few days I stayed here. The studio is beautiful with amazing views over the bay. It was super clean, very comfortable and extremely well resourced. If you can think of it, Sue already has it covered. I would absolutely recommend staying here if youâre in Wellington and would definitely stay again.

Absolutely superb. I needed some R n R away from my busy urban life, and Sue more than delivered. Spotlessly clean. Stunning views. Beautiful apartment. Everything a guest could need, all the details lovingly thought of and cared for. Highlights for me were brunch on the balcony enjoying the view, the sumptuous bathtub and a lovely visit from the resident Doggo. Sue is a wonderful host and her communication is top notch. I didn't want to leave!
Having to leave wasn't great - but at least I can come back!

The location is great! Excellent views at a fraction of the price you'd pay for a harbour view room in the CBD. Sue ensures your privacy and exclusive use of the deck with uninterrupted views.

Sue sent us detailed instructions to gain access which were clear and easy to follow. The room was warm, spacious, well appointed, and what amazing view we woke to the following day. Itâs out of the CBD but only a 25/30 minute walk along the coast road. We like our food and drink so the exercise is a bonus to us but buses, taxis and escooters are available. We didnât have time to use the bath large enough for 2 people, but we will most definitely book here again.
Wish we could have stayed longer

The studio was very comfortable and no expense had been spared to fitting it out. The view over the bay was gorgeous and the huge terrace outside the bedroom was an added bonus. The hostess Sue could not do enough for us without being intrusive.
Nothing - it was all brilliant.

The view is extraordinary.
Love the ownerâs dog.
The place is clean.
The Bath tub is quite big.
Different varieties of tea, coffee and shampoo to choose from which is great.
Probably not suitable for those carrying heavy luggages because of the steep staircases from the entrance to the door.

Fabulous views over Oriental Bay. Spacious, well equipped studio in quiet and convenient location with excellent, frequent bus service.
The amount of steps to access the studio, unavoidable as all properties built on hillside.

Perfect for a couple and Sue was very helpful.
The property is great, just need to have a reasonable fitness level to walk to it.

The best views of our tour in New Zealand and a really comfortable bed. Don't worry about the 4 flights of stairs, as you are rewarded with a great place to see Wellington. Close to buses and the capital centre. The host Sue is very responsive and helpful.

Unfortunately, due to the weather, we could only enjoy the outdoor area to a limited extent. But even from inside, the view is still magnificent. You have a view of almost the entire bay and can see the ferries coming and going.
In a former wardrobe is the kitchenette, with kettle, toaster, microwave, crockery, coffee, tea, milk. After breakfast, you put the rubbish and dishes in a large bowl, which the landlady then collects during the day. She then puts the bowl with the cleaned dishes back in front of the door. Very practical and pleasant for us.
As great as the view and the terrace are, the flat is next to the airport's flight path, so you can sometimes see and hear planes arriving every 5 minutes. Fortunately not at night.
Two days before our arrival, the landlady wrote: "Please note that we have four flights of stairs from The Crescent to the Studio. If this is not suitable for you, please choose another property that is better suited to your needs." At this point everything was paid for and cancellation was no longer possible. So if you are serious and want to warn people about the 68 steps, for the sake of fairness you should mention this fact already in the description of the accommodation, so that only those book who can physically manage to climb the steps with luggage. Two days in advance is not fair!

The view was absolutely spectacular! The room and bathroom were lovely and spotlessly clean. such a comfortable bed and pillows.
The only hard part was getting our luggage down and up the stairs! But we immensely enjoyed our stay.
