The best of past and present are combined in this historic Victorian cottage in downtown Pacific Grove, within easy walking distance of the beach as well as dining, shopping and the local movie theater. Or you may just want to relax and enjoy views of the bay from the cozy living room, decorated to reflect the coastal environment.
The blue and white 3-bedroom, 2-bath residence, built in 1905, has been updated to offer modern conveniences while still embracing its vintage roots. The pet-friendly home also has a back patio that is fenced for privacy, a perfect place to enjoy a backyard barbecue or a glass of wine in the evenings.
The home is within walking distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, and just a few blocks from the Monterey Bay Recreation Trail, a popular place for cycling and walking. Also close by are the world-class golf courses and restaurants of Pebble Beach®. Other attractions within a 30-45 minute drive are the natural wonders of Big Sur and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village.
Hardwood floors and recessed lighting can be found throughout the 1,092-square-foot home, with walls painted in a soft shade of tan and complementary décor in blues, whites and taupe for a soothing ambiance. The fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a dining area that seats six. A convenient master bedroom on the first floor has an HDTV and an en suite bath.
Living Spaces
Guests enter the home via a short flight of stairs to the porch, where the red front door opens into the entryway and living room. Views of the Monterey Bay can be glimpsed from the living room, which features a 48-inch HDTV, roman shades and cozy seating.
Kitchen and Dining
The adjacent kitchen features granite countertops, vintage-look cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, including a four-burner gas stove. A gooseneck kitchen faucet and double sink make cleanups a snap. A dining area at the end of the kitchen looks out over rooftops of other historic buildings in the downtown area. The back door leads to an outdoor patio area decorated with string lights and succulents, offering patio seating and a gourmet gas grill.

Downstairs, Bedroom #1 offers a queen bed, TV, direct access to the back patio and an updated en suite bathroom with a shower.
Also downstairs, a sleek hallway bathroom with a pocket door features hexagonal tile floors, a corner shower with custom tile, and a glass basin sink.
Upstairs, Bedroom #2 features a queen bed and built-in storage.

Enjoyed our week long stay here. The best part of the house is its location - a 10min walk to Lovers Point, a few minutes to nearby coffee shop (Captain & Stoker), restaurants on Lighthouse Avenue and nearby grocery stores (1.2mi drive to TJs and Safeway). Also, for a 3 bedroom house, the common space is a little tight/cosy - living room is probably comfortable for 3 people at most. Also the backyard is cute but not completely private - adjacent neighbors on the 2nd floor can see into the backyard/house - because of this, I would recommend the house get a patio umbrella. This will not only provide shade but also some privacy. Last, there's several ChargePoint charging stations within a few mins walk (in the Fandango parking lot), including two fast chargers, which is super convenient if you need to charge your EV overnight or for a quick fast charge!All in all cute little place that is well maintained and in a very central location!

Great weekend in The Seagull's Next! My husband and I live out of state and wanted a weekend in Pacific Grove where we could spend time with our son and his new girlfriend. This house gave us plenty of room to relax and hang out together. It was walking distance to our favorite restaurants, and we even walked to Fisherman's Wharf! Loved the backyard where we all just sat and enjoyed the beautiful sunny day! Would have liked a bigger L shaped couch and a comfy chair in the living room but we all managed to find a spot to call our own when gathering there.

We enjoyed our stay in Pacific Grove at Seagull's Nest. Walking distance to the Aquarium, Lover's Point, bike path, farmer's market, and downtown restaurants. Little market also close by. We traveled with son, DIL, and toddler. It was great to have a dining area and kitchen traveling with a toddler as we ended up doing a lot of take out and eating at home. Living area was fine for 4 adults; would be tight with 6. Beds were comfortable and house was overall, well appointed. We would stay again.

Beautiful property in perfect location. We had a great stay! Beds were comfy, linens were high quality, and all amenities were thought of. The only suggestions I have are as follows: The upstairs rooms need mirrors (since all bathrooms are downstairs, a mirror upstairs would be super helpful), also, a coat rack or some hooks near the front door would be great (for coats, dog leash, purses, etc). Otherwise, everything was perfect!

We loved the house! It was very nice, clean & conveniently located. The location was great. Restaurants only a block away, we loved the Victorian restaurant for breakfast! The kitchen was well stocked. We ate out mostly but did eat breakfast there. Would have liked a regular toaster, the toaster oven didn’t work very good. Would definitely stay again. We have 2 golden retrievers & it was nice to have a backyard & walking to the Lover’s Point Park was so nice. Great ocean front!

Family of 5 adults stayed there for my sons wedding in Carmel. It was an easy location to wherever we needed to go. I was up early every morning walking the path along the ocean. Great coffee, lunch and dinner right around the corner. Home was immaculate and had everything we needed. Parking was easy in front of the house. I would definitely stay here again.

The house is a dream! Clean and well-decorated. Because of great cable access, we were able to watch some of our favorite shows together. The kitchen was amazingly well-equipped so we were able to cook several times together as a family. The location was perfect being close enough to walk to several restaurants and a supermarket. My family had a great stay at the seagull house.
The house is very cozy and has a nice ocean view. The kitchen is well appointed and we had no trouble finding everything we needed to cook during our stay. The upstairs bedrooms get a little warm during the day but opening the windows cools it right off! The only small incident we had during our stay was the fire alarm was beeping and in need of a new battery. It was a simple fix and the management company was very quick to reply to my messages. Really not a big deal but worth mentioning because they were really responsive.
The house is in a great (and very walkable!) location. We saw deer in the morning multiple times (a big hit for our 6 yr old) and did a lot of exploring in the neighborhood. The restaurants nearby are quite good too.
This house is definitely a solid choice if you’re headed to the Pacific Grove/Monterey/Carmel area.

The cottage was more conveniently located than we anticipated. We could walk to the beach in 4 minutes and to fabulous restaurants and shops in 2! We especially enjoyed the numerous antique shops and boutiques close by. We didn't need to purchase anything extra. The kitchen and bathrooms provided everything we needed for our stay including coffee filters, baggies, soap and shampoo etc. The part of our trip that struck me the most was the genuine kindness of the people in Pacific Grove. Whether it was the staff calling to check on our stay, a waitress, a shop owner, or someone on the street asking if we needed directions. Everyone was friendly, generous, and considerate. We appreciated the luxury linens, towels, and comfortable beds. We will definitely be back.

My daughters, their partners and I stayed in this quaint home for my daughter's wedding in Monterey. The home was clean, well equipped with an ocean view. The location was great for walking to Lover's Point as well as good local restaurants. We were just a 2 minute drive from Cannery Row as well. Walking distance to downtown PG and Ocean View Blvd. The property was furnished well and was clean & comfortable.Would have liked a clothes hanger to air dry clothes, and a coat rack at the entrance. Only critiques, and a small one, are both bathrooms are on the main floor and kind of creaky when walking.

Our arrival was off to a rough start as we weren't able to access our keys. We arrived just after 5pm which made it "after hours" and the lockbox code they gave us did not work. We had just driven 3 hours with a 1-year old baby so this was quite an inconvenience. Thankfully, within 20 minutes we had the code we needed by calling the after-hours phone number. They have a call center who then contacts the person who will get back to you so it took a bit to get in. They sent someone the next day to update the lockbox code so we could use that code to put the keys in the box safely. We were missing hand towels in the guest bathroom upon arriving and the cleaning staff left out some cleaning products but this wasn't a big deal so we made due. The house is very creaky as it is a very old home. Trying to tiptoe around to not wake up the baby was difficult. The stairs and the second story has very creaky floors. Plus both bathrooms are downstairs so those upstairs have to go downstairs every time to use the bathroom overnight. It is renovated beautifully though. It feels very updated inside. The living room was much smaller than we expected but it worked okay. The floorplan makes the livingroom too small to hang out with your group. We ended up hanging out at the kitchen table the most. The backyard is lovely but always pretty chilly. Even in July the weather was cold so we weren't in the backyard much. I will say that the location is great, there are nice restaurants and beach in walking distance. The neighborhood is great. On the day we checked out the entire city had a power outage so we lost all electricity and there was a loud beeping noise coming from an adjacent building that started at about 4am. Needless to say, we had a rough check out as well. This of course was no fault to the property management. The last complaint I have would be that the outside trash can was full when we arrived for our 4-night stay so we called to have it cleared.
