There were many issues during our 4-day stay. The house smells strongly of mildew. We needed to keep windows open throughout to keep air flow to combat the strong smell. Mattresses in main bedrooms are failed and unsanitary with large areas that look to be stained with urine and blood. Foosball table broken. Dining chairs on porch broken. Basic cleanliness of floors & bathrooms fine but remainder not clean. Pots and pans were put away dirty & had to be washed before use. Ceiling fixtures filled with bugs, fan filters blocked with gunk, fabric blinds dirty, lamp shades, art, etc all have a layer of gunk, screens dirty, windows poorly cleaned. No fault of property, but of note - house directly in front of porch is a literal trash heap and there is a green swampy area to the side of the house filled with so many happy frogs we had to use ear plugs to sleep in the bedroom at that end of the house. We loved the house layout and location. If the mildew was professionally remediated & HVAC added for AC & the furnishings taken care of, it would be a 5 star gem. As it stands, I'd appreciate my money back.

My family of 7 liked the big main room and wide deck for relaxing and enjoying the cool air. Very short walk to get to Wallis Sands beach and the house comes with a little cart to bring beach supplies. You can drive down to the bustle of Hampton Beach boardwalk, but retreat back to this Rye house for a quiet night. Although there is no AC, there are plentiful fans and the air moves pretty well through the house with 4 big sliding doors to the deck in the main room. Very clean and we would return!

Beautiful house within walking distance to Wallis Sand State beach. Convenient short drive into Portsmouth. Very well decorated and appointed. Everything you need for a few days or longer at the beach.
Except...the house does not have AC! Can I recommend to the owner to buy 3 or 4 box fans. It would have made a big difference for us on the few very hot days we were there.
Two bedrooms have ceiling fans but were stuck on low as we couldn't figure out the remote (no instructions). Two other small fans were provided, but they are old and don't operate properly.
Other than that, the house and location were great!

Nice, clean and well renovated big house. However, not recommended during hot Days bécause no air condition inf. No instructions regarding thé alarm système, cieling fans nor thermostat fonctionning. Very close to thé Beach! Very quiet place And Nice neighbours. Indoor garage very usefull. Super balcony !

Rented this house to help 6 people participate in a company fundraiser. Everyone had different needs. Sadly, taking advantage of the ocean was not part of the stay, but the garage was full of beach accessories. Morning views were amazing, great deck with a grill, well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable, washer and dryer on site, 2 bathrooms, and a great living space with a wall of sliding doors for fresh air. There is a set of stairs you do climb to get to the living space, and pulling into the driveway feels a little like pulling onto someone else's property, its the last house of three on the driveway. Garage was very convenient.

Overall property was great for size, space, clean and convenient to the beach - 5 min walk. Nice for a large family.
Not deal breakers but it would have made it more comfortable if bathrooms had safety grab bars and non-slip flooring. Coat hooks through out to hang clothes, towels accessories, etc as closet available in only one of the bedrooms.
The foosball table had no ball and parts were broken - bummer :(

We loved this little vacation! There were stains on the carpets however there isn’t much u can do about that so it was great! A little mildew smell but you are on the beach so you are more likely to have that anyway :) definitely recommend!

The house was very spacious, bright, lots of windows which provided lots of natural light. the garage fit two cars and allowed for two others in the driveway. The couch is large enough for six of us to chill, relax and watch a good movie after a day of shopping in Portsmouth. The bedroom rugs are stained and probably should be replaced but the few stains didn't distract from the rest of the house. The beach was gorgeous which is about a 5 minute walk. The few suggestions...The frying pans are teflon and peeling a little so should probably be replaced.
If you plan to cook and not eat out every meal you will need to bring leftover containers because there aren't any. There were not any ziploc bags so you might want to bring some for extra food storage. Overall, the location and house were perfect.

The ocean view was the main amenity. We were disappointed with the initial cleanliness specifically a greasy stove, stained rugs, well worn uncomfortable furniture, a walk outside revealed a lint buildup at the dryer vent which made us not use the washer and dryer, that is an unsafe condition for a dryer. The management at Vacasa were responsive and sent cleaning crew in, but it was at their convenience not ours, we had to srtay away while they cleaned. I did not check to see if dryer vent was cleaned , but stove and rugs were addressed as good as they could considering their long time neglect.A request was made of us to strip the beds upon checkout which revealed yellow stained mattresses, had I seen that earlier I would have been reluctant to sleep on either one.

We had a wonderful time. Large family table, couch, clean bathrooms, large outside deck.
Perfect for large family. However I would not go back until they cleaned or replaced the stained carpets and deck cushions. One deck couch portion was broken and unusable. Should be tossed. BBQ grill bottom was full of grease and shot out flames. The main reason we booked and even asked about the deck and bbq was for family activity. The rest was great.

We stayed here for our daughter's college graduation and had family over for a cookout after. It was raining so unfortunately couldn't' enjoy the large deck but the house had a nice open floor plan between the living and dining area that we had plenty of room! House was very clean, kitchen well stocked. Already recommended to our friend for when his son graduates in 2 years!

Home needs a deep cleaning, area and wall to wall carpets were not ckean. I washed all of the throw rugs and most of the knick knacks on shelves, and light fixtures before our kids arrived.

The home could be so much more if it was taken care of regularly. It definitely needs a VERY deep cleaning. For example the furniture in the living room were dirty; we basically put down sheets when we sat on the furniture. One armchair had what looked to be orange “Cheeto” stains. The carpets need a good cleaning or better yet, need to be replaced. The outdoor furniture cushions should be taken in when not in use, however they remain outside on the deck and are not very clean. We rarely sat on them. The view of the water is obstructed by very dirty windows and screens, which should be cleaned routinely.
In addition to the deep cleaning that is needed, we were given only 1 extra roll of toilet paper (there are 2 bathrooms) for the week that we were there. The toilet paper provided in each bathroom only had ½ the roll left when we arrived. No additional paper towels were provided, and the roll when we arrived was half empty. We were provided with one towel for the kitchen. No cutting board was provided. No instructions on garbage pick up or recycling were provided.
For the price we paid for the week, these supplies should be provided by the hosts, which in this case is Vacasa. Ironically, Vacasa states on their information provided, “Our housekeeping teams are working hard to ensure that every Vacasa home meets the highest expectation of cleanliness”. NOT!!! This home could be worth the cost of the rental; it has so much more potential. We were disappointed.

We love the location in the rocky shore and close to the beach. The deck is large and inviting. It’s perfect for a summer beach vacation.

The location of the property was great, a short walk to beautiful beach. The property was spacious and aesthetically pleasing, however, the carpet was damp, there was an odor to the house, the shower lining was noticeably dirty and we lost hot water, which was 'unable to be repaired.' Although this property had some good things to offer, we will not be returning due to issues that arose.

Overall it's a fine house with an incredible location. You're just a three to four minute walk to one of the state beaches, and you're right on the ocean Rt1, which is beautiful.
But the description of the house has key omissions. The house is pretty much on top of a neighboring house that has incredibly loud barking dogs. The neighbors are not jerks by any means, but they live there - one evening they were pressure washing their cars (loud) all through our dinner time, so eating on the deck (which is almost on top of the neighbor's house) wasn't an option. The pictures in the listing deliberately obscure how close the neighbors are and how much of an eye sore that house in in the way of the ocean view.
While the listing does not claim there's A/C, failing to mention that matters since the house can get incredibly stuffy without any cross ventilation options either.
The large management company that runs the house is exactly what you'd expect - getting in touch with a human there who can help is like trying to navigate Verizon's customer service.

The location was perfect in a quiet neighborhood, and a short walk to the beach. Grocery store was less than 4 miles away. An easy drive to the lovely city of Portsmouth. One of the bedrooms was on the opposite side of the house which we found to be ideal. The living room/dining room was very spacious as well as the deck. It was so nice to be able to open the sliding doors to the deck for some fresh sea air.

Great house and location
We had some trouble getting into the property when the lockbox appeared to be dead. We were able to get it resolved through the Vacasa/Vrbo help lines but it did take over an hour to get resolved. Fortunately after that everything about our trip went well! We very much enjoyed the house and other than a few ants here and there everything was clean and easy to manage. Would recommend this for a stay close to the beach and downtown Portsmouth!

Quiet Beach Retreat
This property was lovely and tucked away with water views and so quiet. It was such a nice place to getaway and visit with family. The home was clean & ready when we arrived. It was overall a very nice stay.

Beautiful home
This home was perfect for our small company Christmas gathering. It was clean and updated throughout. It was easy to work with the contacts, even had a garage for 2 cars. The only downfall was, in a community of spectacular homes, the one neighbor closest to the house and in direct view of the ocean, is a run down mess (I feel sorry for those around them) Still, I’d rent this house again.

Nice layout, but needs some attention
This property is somewhat accurate to the listing, but found a few deviations. First, the parking is not adequate for 4 vehicles. I’d plan no more than 3. Second, the street is very narrow and the neighbors have their garage spilling out into the street; not only do you have to contend with it driving, but it does diminish the view a bit. Third, there were multiple electrical outlets that were not working, nor was the dishwasher.
The property has a nice layout, and it’s convenient to get to grocery stores and restaurants. If the electrical outlets and dishwasher were fixed, I’d have left a better review because theres nothing that can be done about the neighbors.

Fall weekend in Rye
We stayed here with some of our wedding party for our wedding weekend. The house was spacious and nice. Check out was a little confusing, and reception is super spotty so difficult to communicate with our property manager. There also weren’t paper towels. Otherwise, nice stay!

Great week with friends and family
We loved the location and the appointments at this home. The porch was wonderful! Overall we really enjoyed our stay. A couple of things need improvement: the bed in the master was really uncomfortable with a deep V in the center, it needs to be replaced. I Had to sleep in the bunk room. There is a circulation issue in the home, no cross ventilation. We used fans (provided) despite the temps in the 50-60s at night. Coffee maker had the incorrect carafe (probably a replacement) so grounds were everywhere. Last, no hairdryer! Other than that, a great week with friends!!

The property’s kitchen was very well stocked, which was very helpful in cooking a few meals during our weekend there.
The deck was large and beautiful, and had plenty of seating for our party of 6.
Just a 5 minute walk to the beach! The sunrise views were gorgeous from the deck as well.
The check in and check out process was very easy and went smooth.
The property could have been cleaned a little better in my opinion. One of my friend’s found a goldfish under the covers of her bed, and there were multiple stains on the white comforters, which was unfortunately very noticeable.
Overall, we all really enjoyed our stay and would return again in the future!

We were fortunate to be there during a comfortable weather week. Having no AC would have been problematic on a warmer week. The fans provided were helpful however there could have been more for circulation. For the cost of the rental I feel these other items are worth mentioning; I would recommend improving the cleaning ( we experienced ants starting the first night) we personally cleaned the kitchen and washed the floors. The window alarms and CO2 detector alarms started going on the first morning and second morning waking us. The alarm control boxed noted the low battery notification was initially given back in May and we were there in August. The batteries were never changed. We called maintenance and they came the same day but we had to wait for them and return with the correct batteries. This unfortunately took a few hours away from our time at the beach. This maintenance should be done routinely and not left for guests. Lastly, the cell service was poor. It was difficult to make a phone call which if there was an emergency was concerning. Also a few of us has a work remotely a bit during our 5 day stay the service was not reliable. Our overall experience was enjoyable.

Mediocre
House was ok and the location to the beach was nice but an eyesore of a house is directly across the street from the porch and the homeowners made it uncomfortable for the renters. The patio umbrella was broken and they only give you 2 rolls of toilet paper. When we asked about additional tp, we were told to get our own. On top of that, the landscapers showed up 1/2 before checkout and blocked us in. Our group would not stay there again.

Great location, decent floor plan. Not the cleanest, many broken items and has a musty smell. A lot of frogs including frequently visiting in the garage. Bring insect repellent and extra fans if during hot times.
