About this house rental

Crissey Cottage is a cute beach front home, with a breathtaking view! This cozy home, makes for a wonderful place to create memories. This cozy cottage is located in the center of Brookings, down a beautiful and friendly neighborhood. While only .7 miles from Fred Meyers and .7 miles from Harris Beach State Park, it is the perfect location to start your adventures here on the coast.

When you enter into the home you are greeted with a beautiful ocean view and an open layout. With the living room being a large portion of the home it makes for a nice place to gather before going on your daily adventure. This room comes with a large flat screen TV with cable and DVD access. A nice fireplace and several spots to sit back and enjoy either one of those amenities. This home has vinyl flooring throughout. The outside of this home is absolutely stunning with beautiful greenery and a view of the ocean that just keeps going! Take in the view on the spacious back deck, with the 4-6 seated hot tub, and create memories by the gas fire pit and BBQ (Replaced in 2020).

Bedroom Description and Layout:

The master bedroom is laminate flooring, with a nice king size mattress and an attached full bathroom. The second bedroom located in the same hall as the master, has vinyl flooring with a queen mattress. While it is smaller that the other two bedrooms, it is full of natural lighting making the room appear very spacious, plus you have a beautiful view of the ocean. The third bedroom is located through the kitchen, and it is also has vinyl flooring and holds a queen mattress along with two folding, roll-away beds, for those additional sleepers. The third bedroom also comes with a beautiful ocean view and a smaller flat screen and DVD access.

Bathroom Layout/Descriptions:

There are two bathrooms in this cute home. The master bathroom located in the master bedroom, has a full bathroom with a shower. The second bathroom is located in the hall between the master and second bedroom. This bathroom is a bit more spacious, with a shower/tub combo.

This rental is not pet friendly. This rental is a non-smoking rental. NO RV's Allowed!

Property Update- 2024; the deck has been updated, current to code however railing has been removed. Photos will be updated as soon as our coastal rain breaks for sunshine.

We traveled alone to have a private time for ourselves and now we are wanting to book again to bring family/friends! Propane grill and hot tub were great out on a beautiful deck with incredible views. Plenty of nice deck seating. The remodel in the living areas was well done! Labeling on all the switches was certainly appreciated! Ample towels, cooking utensils, and a newer clean refrigerator. Prior guests have signed drift wood, rocks, and bottle corks… well done and fun! Just north of town with amenities close by made quick trip for groceries easy… we have stayed in Harbor on prior trips and didn’t miss having to drive in. We believe the listing doesn’t do this place justice.

Great place, wonderful views from hugh deck overlooking ocean. Very clean, comfortable beds, exactly as represented in photos. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Only reason for 4 stars is that there is no direct beach access and closest beach (Harris) is about a mile north via busy hwy, so not great for kiddos. But would highly recommend for adult group..

Can't say enough about this property. We had all of these west coast plans when we booked the house, but once we spent an evening on the immaculate decking out back, we changed all plans to make sure we were on the deck, in the backyard by 6 p.m. each day. It was magnificent. The property is well maintained and well provisioned. We cooked two meals a day in the kitchen, and enjoyed leisurely mornings both inside and outside. The view alone is worth the price of admission, but the deck and the backyard put this place over the top. Best rental property ever.

Deck and view of ocean with rocks and sea stacks is highlight of property. Hot tub is a great way to relax after a long day of hiking and touring the area. Wind kicks up and temperature goes down into upper 40s overnight. Propane fireplace is nice way to keep warm if out on the deck viewing stars and looking for ship lights. Kitchen is spacious. 2 microwaves are convenient. Dishwasher and sink are nice. Bedrooms are comfortable. Good sleeping. Plenty of heat for cold Oregon nights. Closets are crowded with stuff, but we worked around that. Livingroom is comfortable. Parking is ample. Yard is nice. Right side of deck gets sprayed by sprinkler every morning. Talked to home owner on the phone. She is fun to speak with. Overall high recommendation for the Crissey property.

It’s even more beautiful in person. It’s breathtaking, actually. Girls trip for my 50th - we traveled across the country and it was worth every second. The property is magical. From the clean and updated home with comfy bedding and amazing kitchen to the incredible deck, hot tub (at perfect temp upon arrival) and view (which literally made me cry the moment we walked outside). It’s like a fairytale. It felt like we were the only people on a private island yet a quick drive to the grocery store, great restaurants/shops, and very close to all of the destinations on our list (like Harris beach, natural bridges, secret beach, etc.). We did not want to leave and will definitely be returning!

This was an absolutely amazing house to share wonderful memories with family! The owners met us upon arrival to welcome us to their lovely property. The remodeled kitchen offers breathtaking views of the ocean while inside. The kitchen is fully stocked and offered everything you would need to feel comfortable. The newly built deck offers many areas to take in the beautiful scenery, from the ocean to the surrounding landscape. Whether it was watching the sunset by the fire pit or relaxing in the hot tub that overlooks the ocean was a magical experience. We look forward to booking another stay at Crissey Cottage!!

This house is lovely and the location is breathtaking! We enjoyed the ocean view from the hot tub every day, even in a little rain. The view from inside is just as good as outside and there are plenty of comfy spots to take it all in. The house is very clean and the kitchen is updated nicely. We had everything we needed to fix a few meals. However it is very close to great restaurants too! We will definitely rent again next time we are in the area!

We arrived at the property a little early, and had the great fortune of meeting the owners who had been there finalizing a few finishing touches on upgrades they are making. They were incredibly gracious and welcoming and showed us around their beautiful property. The views are unbelievably beautiful! I cannot imagine a better home to rent anywhere - it really exceeded every expectation we had. The furniture was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with appliances, high-end cookware, dishes, etc. The hot tub was our very favorite experience at the end of the days we spent hiking and beach combing - we earned the relaxation it provided! We know this is the first of many family trips to this location. I cannot express how incredible it was to sit on the deck and watch the ocean, listening to the waves and take in the deep relaxation. We will absolutely return without hesitation!! Thank you Cory & Diana!!

Great location with absolutely fabulous views. House was incredibly clean and well organized. Everything was in perfect working order and sitting in a hot tub in the rain provided a perfect balance of hot versus cold. You are first greeted with the saying, write your troubles in the sand and your memories in stone. And on the fireplace and window sills there were stones and driftwood engraved with names of people and dates they stayed. Was such a unique and wonderful touch. We searched along the beach and found out own rock memory to add. Would return here in a heartbeat.

This was our second time staying at this amazing house, and we had a blast again! The view of the ocean is spectacular and the house promotes togetherness due to its open floor plan. The beds are comfortable and the spa was so relaxing! A great place to go if you want a night out or just a drink is the Fat Irish restaurant down in the harbor. Zola‘s pizza is amazing as well.

Everything at this property was as described and we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. It's rare to find a property that has both stunning views while also being close to creature comforts like a grocery store. Our group found the house to be very welcoming and clean. We enjoyed both the fireplace and the hot tub. The kitchen has everything we needed. The beds and pillows were comfortable, as were the bathrooms. It was reassuring to have access to extra towels when we needed them. We had one question for the management company and when we reached out after hours they were prompt in getting back to us. We would not hesitate to stay here again and hope to be able to do in the future.

We booked this property for a best friend vacation, coming from Montana, Idaho and Kansas, we arrived about 6pm with no issues checking in! The following morning we noticed the water in the shower was not real hot so we called the office and they sent out maintenance within 20 Minutes, Harold fixed the problem! It was a broken pipe in the crawl space.. he was very professional and knowledgeable. Pros to the trip-AMAZING Views, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, the deck out back was private and very relaxing! Weather was perfect 😉 Cons-there really was not Any I would highly recommend this property I know I will be back!
