Great Hostel, with nice people.

De ligging is perfect om Peniche te ontdekken. Het personeel was enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam en het ontbijt was boven verwachtingen.

Simple, quiet and clean!

Central location, short walk to the bus station, simple breakfast included. We were able to check in early, but staff aren’t always on site so it’s good to connect ahead of time with your ETA.

Disappointing

The location of the hostel is very convenient. I'm grateful for the travelers I met who were all super nice.

I was very disappointed by the hostel. The place desperately needs to be renovated, bathrooms are literally falling apart (you're advised not to use certain showers because they're broken and not fixed), beds don't have private outlet, light nor privacy curtains. The 5 keys you're given to access the hostel was quiet a surprise too. I also found the staff very rude: the volunteer was very unwelcoming when I arrived to drop by bag in the morning, I had my check-in made by Mario who was clearly all over the place (he didn't give me a tour of the place, didn't tell me anything about breakfast, bike rental, surfing class, check-out time, etc...), Nancy barely said "Good morning" to me over my 3day-stay... Needless to say that there is no vibe at all. I would not come back to this place.

Very good

Good location, close to bus stop. Good for hostel (we had private room). Didn't spend much time in hostel as one night and early departure. Nice communal area.

Not a fault of the hostel, but the communal areas are only as good as whether other guests respect others will use it. On the night we stayed unfortunately some guests seemed less aware of this - e.g leaving all toiletries spread around bathrooms and being v loud and obnoxious

Not bad, not great :-)

The location of this hostel is amazing, not too far to walk to the beaches, nor to the harbour and close to a big parking lot. The included breakfast was a nice extra as well. The rooms in front of the building have nice big windows

We stayed in two rooms with windows and one without windows. This was a room for 4 people, but was really cramped, we couldn't ventilate it well, because there was only one small window into the corridor. It was quite a dark and depressing room. It would be better if this was a room for maximum 2 people. I asked beforehand if we could come a bit earlier to the common room and online they said it was no problem but when we arrived we couldn't enter. The kitchen was well equipped but not really the cleanest of them all and in one of the bathrooms was a bit of a problem with a smell from the drain. The beds were also not the best matrasses. Overall not a bad stay at all, but also not the best stay in the world. Average :)

Good memories, new friendships and camaraderie

Breakfast was fine. Location great near beaches, restaurants, gelato shops etc ... staff. But what made it exceptional. Was the great combination of interesting, eclectic combination of guests from various countries. ages, backgrounds , interests, lifeexperiences etc. FANTASTIC 😉

More variety at breakfast but not a game breaker.

It was okay for the price!

Good location, good breakfast.

Strange vibe. Kinda feels like you’re intruding on a house run by the staff, when it should be the other way around (they are friendly though). The communal area/kitchen is closed from 12:30-8:30am (maybe because a staff member sleeps in that room?), but I found that inconvenient when I needed to get up early for a bus and wanted to fill up my water bottle/chill outside of my dorm. In small hostels, communal areas should be open 24/7. There was also no run down of the town, amenities, attractions etc when I arrived.

It is a great hostel that felt like home! Nice staff and delicious breakfast! I booked for one night, ended up staying for 3! Simply love it there! Great location and friendly environment with very helpfull owner. Can’t wait to get back!

Can’t seem to remember anything, it is a really great hostel! Maybe a bit bigger lockers but even without this improvement, the lockers have plenty of room!:)

LOVED IT! Will definitely return!

I loved every bit of the hostel! Great location, close to everything! Outstanding breakfast (already included in the price) and you really feel like home there. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff, very nice owner, eeady to help out with anything. It is not a question if i will go back but rather when! Can’t wait to get back!

incredible. already doing this again sometime sooner rather than later!

Breakfast was incredible. there was always a pot of hot coffee and fresh bread with a variety of yogurts and cereals for the 2 days I was there. Although it seems like a difficult thing to try to eat from home for dinner during your holidays, I was able to do exactly that. the kitchen is very clean and well fitted. which means that everything you need to feel like you're home is made available.

generally speaking, it was a very wet weekend with very few episodes of sunshine, so it makes the rooms a bit stuffy when it´s impossible to open the windows to allow in some fresh air. but I obviously blame the weather for that.

The place is so cozy you feel like home ! Stuff working there and owner are very nice, they make you feel so welcome you dont want to leave. Room was very nice and the couch in the Living room is addictive :)

Fabulous stay guaranteed!

This is my fav place in the world! Fantastic people run a fantastic hostel. This is actually more than a hostel - Mario, Klaudia, Saras and others make this places a spot you want to come back. You can meet a lot of fantastic people there. And there are numerous nice place to grab some food around. And they cooperate with a great surfing school! Amazing people, good price, great location! 100/10!!

We stayed in a Private room which was very nice and the bed was quite comfy. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast was ok but for the price I expect a bit more than just one bun. Overall the stay was pleasant but I think the room is a bit overpriced.

Totally recommend for you to book it. Big room with an even bigger bed, very very clean including the bathroom as well. Two bathrooms available, fully equipped kitchen. Great location and wonderful host/staff. :)

The room was okay big and as described, but all other rooms as toilet, kitchen, balcony were very dark

Location is good, but can be noisy becouse of traffic

Hot water dissapears constantly during shower and you need to wait 5-10 min until it appears again. Breakfast was very poor, kinda one piece of bread and butter, filter coffee and I always needed to ask about more:(( Garbage bins were not emptied regularly and they smelled, so i needed to contact the owner of the place couple of times during my 1 week stay. The owner is nice, he tried to fix things emmidiatly, but staff was not good. Also staff were smoking marijuana regularly on terrase and it also smelled inside of the hostel😬. I dont recommend this place👎

I like staying here. Small and intimate place equipped in vintage style. Big walls high ceilings, I like the curtains above the bed, they keep intimacy - so Nice. The dormitory equipped in Africa style. Omg, you can feel the whole world captured within the appartment. Actually it is like an apartment, rather than Hostel. Just what I needed, thanks guys for hosting me🤗. I recommend to all backpackers!!!
